Heh

These men are sought in connection with a violent gang rape of Dunedin City Council ratepayers and BNZ shareholders last night. Another man, Steve Tew , is assisting police with their inquiries. Police advise members of the public that this organised criminal group is hazardous to local body financial health and should under no circumstances be approached. Any siting should be reported to 0800 ORFU FU.

These persons of interest would no doubt revel in and have a culture of violence.

The financial model and finances for ORFU has been broken for four or five years, and the RFU have known about it for that long. For Mr Tew to express surprise is a tad, shall we say, disingenuous.

Here’s a simple question…
Did the IRB get paid all money that was due them?

Disingenuous, I’d call it a lie.
Vote:If he didn’t know about their finances considering the nzrfu controls nz rugby, then he’s incompetent.

Got to agree this is a crock. The Council just got rid of the safety officers program that has been running successfully since 2003 in the Octagon to support police because at 50k it was too expensive.

UpandComer – I don’t the the council should be involved in policing. National taxes should provide that, not rates.
ORFU has been a sorry mess but the DCC have probably gone for the least worst approach. Like it or not a kneecapped new stadium would cost more in the long run.

Seems to me the DCC has dodged a potentially very embarrassing bullet. They had built a white elephant and not secured any real business for it. This shambles has allowed them pay the bills for a couple of years at least.

The second the DCC signed off on the millions for the stadium a few years ago was the second they asked to be buggered with a broom handle. The choice they had in the recent meeting was: would you like to insert the broom handle yourself or shall we ask the ORFU directors to do it for you?

Actually no, using the term rape to make a joke about something that is not a rape is not funny. Just ask a real rape victim. I’m sure they would not find this ‘funny’ piece remotely amusing.
