Queensland’s new Premier

March 28th, 2012 at 1:00 pm by David Farrar

This is new Queensland Premier Campbell Newman on election night. Now recall that Labor Premier Anna Bligh launched a massive smear campaign against Newman and his wife’s family. She even said that Newman would end up in jail.

At 5:20 see what he says about Bligh. It is:

I want to acknowledge and thank the Premier for her service to Queensland and particularly I think it is appropriate this evening that we all thank her and particularly acknowledge her inspirational leadership during the 2011 floods and Cyclone Yasi

A very good start to his new job. He would have had every reason to be bitter about her smear campaign against him, but he rose above it.

Why be bitter when you have won an overwhelming victory. It speaks for its-self. And the result is not about the smear campaign but the overwhelming victory. That is the spin you want. Now he has instructed her husband to dismantle a number of pet projects which he may find impossible to do. I assume at that point her husband will resign. Campbell Newman is a much more clever operator than I thought. A good start in my view.

It looks like he’s made a good start. Long may it continue. What’s bad for Labor is good for Queensland.

    cheers

And a dozen departmental chiefs already given the heave ho.

They don’t muck around in Queensland.

Meanwhile NZers are to borrow a further few hundred thousand dollars for an enquiry into fracking, a practice which has been used in Taranaki for twenty years. I ask:-

Why is there a need for an enquiry?

How many people have been killed or injured as a result of fracking?

How thoroughly has the evidence submitted by all the rabid anti oil dipshits been vetted for accuracy?

Is this a case of yet another useless commission making work for itself in order to appear important?

I see from Aussie sites he has the nick name “Can Do” in Queensland. I think he will lead the way for other State Premiers –ie. give them the “courage” to do what they need to do.

My prediction is that Newman will turn out to be just another John Key/David Cameron/Mitt Romney style loser and sellout.

It makes no difference folks, the problem lies in the culture.

We’re living under Cultural Marxist tyranny, and freedom will only come from you, not the likes of cowering curs like Key, Newman and Cameron.
