Congrats Paula

Cabinet minister Paula Bennett has confirmed that her new husband is Alan Philps and that he is an old boyfriend.
“Alan and I first met over 23 years ago when he was a truck driver and used to stop in at the diner I was waitressing in,” she told the Herald.
“We recently got back together and Alan and his kids moved back from Australia to New Zealand so we could be a family together.
“We are very happy, and both feel very lucky to have found each other again.”
The pair married on Saturday on the beach at Piha. The wedding feast was champagne and fish and chips.
They are having a brief honeymoon and she is expected back at work tomorrow.
It can be challenging to find time for romance, while being an MP, let alone a Minister. Congrats to Paula and Alan.

The Minister of Social Welfare refused to answer some reasonable questions about the Social Welfare system, and instead chose to demonise the citizens who were asking the questions.
that’s an outrage, one I and many other net-tax-paying lefties will never forgive.
But if her new-found domestic bliss rubs off on her work, then maybe the whole country will be the better for it…

Did she really demonise someone or did she simply disclose the level of benefits that they recieved in response to misleading statements. Did POAL demonise Cecil, or whatever his name was, or disclose undisputed facts that undermined his original statement? Seems to me you are being a bit churlish on this one.

RRM remember how the bat asking those questions, turned out she was on the milk for something like 50k per year from the taxpayer? I think it was actually more, but I can’t remember precisely so I’ll leave it at that!
