History – your profile, friends, groups, activities, timeline, conversations…

That data cannot be switched over at a blink of an eye. The longer you are on FB, the more your history is entrenched in their system. The more you use it, the greater the hurdle to moving away

I’d originally interpreted this as an indication that there would be a subsequent impostion of whatever the subject drivel happened to be. It didn’t take long to realise that, mercifully, it never eventuated. I put the lack of follow-up down to the fact that the combination of his bird-sized brain, the attention span of an especially small piece of grit, and his recreational activities, meant that he either just forgot, never got around to it or just couldn’t be bothered. It made me chuckle every time I saw it, accompanied by a gentle shake of the head and muttering “idiot” to myself.

But, I’ve only just realised: it’s only a threat of further elipses. Boy, was I ever taken for a ride!

By the way maggie, lazy lying bludger, leech on society, suckler of the fiscal breasts of solo working mothers, idiot; you seem to be quite taken with Finland. Can I offer pay for a one-way ticket for you? You must be quite lonely waiting at home for short pants to get back from work so that you can care for him.

and some geek will write a better social media interface sooner or later

No, not in its current format because the fad will crash and be replaced by something else. The only issue is whether FB morphs into the something else and whether FB does the morphing.

MSM is dead and buried. By its own admission it’s only there to “entertain” (ppffft font).

TV? 3048 TV channels available. Try flicking through them and see if there is anything worth watching. Second thoughts; don’t waste your time although, I believe that there is an interesting new reality program on the way: Toiletpaper Disasters. This will focus on the tragic social and domestic consequences of the trend towards thin budget toilet paper.

My prediction? Mass migration to the country where one can burn wood with gay (in a happy sense) abandon, and read a good book with the steam powered valve radio soothing away in the background. Knitting will make a comeback too.

Alcohol consumption will continue to rise.

An unassuming man registered in a hotel during a business

Is the John Guthrie who is running the crematorium in Sydenham one of the former mayors sons? This would explain the consents and the lack of notification. Surely the City Council had some say in approving this venture?

All I can see the EU has done is:

Open borders to every beggar in Romania.
Open borders to every muslim rat bag who managers to sneak in france and then gets on a ferry.
Leave them really exposed to countries like Greece who were never ever be able to pull their weight a bit like going guarantor on a car loan for the junkie nephew
Landed the UK with this hysterical socialist wet dream that is buggering Europe

Back to the Facebook shite… Someone mentioned HP. They will be fine. They are about to sack 27,000 people though… Hey are jumping into cloud services in a big way. Windows 8 is launching soon which will give their notebooks a boost and a tablet solution.
