Gallery to Labour

Am amusing exchange on Twitter:

Patrick Gower ‏@patrickgowernz

Radio NZ reporter Julian Robins has switched sides to become spin doctor for Labour and David Shearer

When a Radio NZ journalist moves into PR for the Labour party does that constitute a shift to the Right?

Heh.

Interestingly I think this is the 5th journalist in the last three years to join the Labour or Greens media teams. By contrast, in the last three years I can only recall one gallery journalist going to work for the Government – despite the fact they have several times more staff.

Speaks volumes about the employment prospects in Journalism at the moment, as once you have worked for a political party good luck being recognised as politically neutral if you ever wish to rejoin mainstream media.

Illustrates perfectly what the left have been saying all along:

that you’ve got to be one of The Boys to get jobs from the National Government…

Not sure about this “boys” bit. Wrong party.

No doubt that tedious little weasel Mercep at Radio Pinko would have thrown his bright red cap into the ring, but even Shearer can recognise how useless the dreadful little prick is.

Sheesh. Wouldn’t you **think** that after the complete debacle we’ve seen in Europe, where the left’s so-called “economic policies” have been seen to have **utterly failed** – wouldn’t you think that journos would want to be seen with pinko parties about as much as they’d like to be seen with a pedophile?

**What is it** with journos that makes them so friggin’ THICK? Is it genetic?

Leftard policies now have as much “credibility” as perpetual-motion machines, and yet the journos *still* flock to Labour and the Greens like flies attracted to a dungheap.

They’re not really journalists, they’re kind of Manchurian candidates for the left. Programmed to think only as the left wants them to think by Marxist controlled schools and universities and socialist lecturers who are using the education system primarily as a political tool.

Some so called journalists are dedicated to the cause. Most can’t write from anything but a left wing perspective because they don’t know any better.

It would be “amusing” if the media weren’t so important in moulding, controlling and manipulating th e debate in favour of failed leftist policy and dangerous “progresive”social policy.

There’s actually nothing remotely funny about the collapse of the traditional west.

here are some rough details on former journo’s who are, or have worked in political pr over the last six years. More tend to work for the Nat’s because they pay better

ex-Journo’s with Labour – Kris Faafoi, Fran Mold, Julian Robins
ex-journos with the Greens – Kevin List
ex journo’s with National National – Lesley Hamilton, Grant Fleming, Rachel Bruce, Rachel Kerr, Gillon Carruthers, Helene Ambler, Simon Beattie, Jackie Maher, Julie Ash, Ben Thomas, Sia Aston, Vanessa Rawson, Stephen Parker

[DPF: National has many ex journos. My point was those who in the last three years have directly gone from the gallery to a parliamentary party job]

JC & Johnboy I had the same experience. I am using Firefox because in Safari I keep getting log in demands from google or to quote

” To view this page, you must log in to this area on mail.google.com.443:
    New mail feed
Your login information will be sent securely
    Name
    Password”

Fucked if I know what is going on but asking me for a name and password then telling me they will send it to me securely after I have given them it except I haven’t because I haven’t got one is like so fucking stupid that I am starting to think they are from planet stupid. Might be time to move to another web browser though.

That’s spot-on, Redbaiter. Calling them journalists is like calling a rubbish-man a “sanitation engineer”.
I agree with you too, kowtow. Compare the media here with the North Korean media and there’d be bugger-all difference. Thank goodness for oases of sanity like Kiwiblog here (and Whaleoil) – exposing the bullshit that the left pump out.

A partial explanation for left wing bias in the media is O’Sullivan’s Law which states that any organization or enterprise that is not expressly right wing will become left wing over time. The law is named after British journalist John O’Sullivan.

One of the reasons for this is leftist intolerance versus right-wing tolerance. Right wingers are willing to hire openly left-wing employees in the interest of fairness. Left-wingers, utterly intolerant, will not allow a non-Liberal near them, and will harass them at every opportunity. The result over time is that conservative enterprises are infiltrated by leftists but leftist enterprises remain the same or get worse.”
