Ah but we are Lucia.

Phil doesn’t know this yet but he will, one day. We are all part of the great conservative cosmic oneness where the Gweens are mental and the conservatives are heroic, valiant creatures full of vigour and goodness and might.

Where there is no AGW, no beneficiaries, no state asset ownership, no dole and no bludgers and yet, where everyone is rich, healthy and happy. A world where whoar never even existed.

This is the unity that phil and I (well, me really) has to bring to pass and if it means that phil has to be crushed like a tiny insignificant insect then, hey, that’s his fault, for not getting with the program. I mean I put the ads up ages ago, so I can’t see how he can possibly blame me for what happens next and I think any court in the land will agree. In fact, I’m relying on it.

I practice what I preach.

I do try not to offend others. I don’t say that people should not be homosexual if they wish too be.I have not said that we shouldn’t address the matter of dying with dignity.

As a Catholic, yes, I’d prefer that people die of their illness or injury, but, I can see where people who have very debilitating illnesses are coming from when they say they wish to die.

But yes, I will debate and argue rather harshly at times when people use ’emotional’ battering to win debate, be it Gay Marriage, abortion, the security of Israel or any other matter of importance.That is not how you win debate.It is not even part of debate.It is verbal assualt.People leave Marriages because of it. Schools too.Other victims of it commit suicide.

phil is it possible to lay out the deductive/inductive/a priori and a posteriori lines of reasoning which has lead you to this conclusion for each “alias?”

It’s not that I’m skeptical, it’s just that I prefer actual evidence, and before you give us the physical stuff which compels you toward this conclusion, it would be good to get the preliminaries out of the way first, re: the reasoning process, preferably involving your mathematical equations, as well.

The floor is yours phil, I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’m listening with all ears, while my wife talks incessantly to me about some other crap and the telly plays in the background. But go ahead, you have as much attention as you’ll ever have, from me.

This is one of the most vivid explications of the consequences of sin I personally have ever read. Many people don’t realise what they do. They think it’s OK if they’re a “good” person and they just don’t murder anybody afore they die. Newsflash folks. It takes more than that. It takes acknowledgement of the Saviour. In one’s heart.

If some of the stuff I’ve read here tonight (and indeed previously from the usual suspects) somehow passes for defence of Christianity generally, or Catholicism in particular, then the world is better off without both. I can’t say that I’ve previously joined in the ridicule chorus about those having religious faith that doesn’t withstand any rational scrutiny. If that’s your bag then over to you as far as I’m concerned.

But I have to say that I usually just shake my head at the gob-smacking hypocrisy of those that spout Christian values on the one hand and spout bile and bigotry on the other and are too stupid and blinded by the monumental arrogance of their faith that they cannot see their hypocrisy. Instead,they justify their behaviour by reference to the behaviour of others of whom they are so critical, and in complete contradiction to what, in the eyes of the great unwashed, are perceived as Christian values.

One thing is for sure though; if this is meant to be a membership drive you need a new strategy.

Kiwi frigates kept out of Pearl Harbour

Despite New Zealand signing a sweeping new agreement on military co-operation with the United States, its anti-nuclear legislation is the reason two navy frigates have been refused entry to Pearl Harbour during the world’s largest maritime exercise.

For the first time in 28 years, the Defence Force is taking part in this year’s Exercise Rim of the Pacific, known as Rimpac. The force has proudly publicised New Zealand’s involvement in the US-hosted exercise.

The frigates Te Kaha and Endeavour are in Hawaii, along with a rifle platoon from the Infantry Regiment, a counter-mine team, an air force P-3K Orion and a dive team based in San Diego.

The frigates made front-page news in Honolulu, with the local Star-Advertiser reporting New Zealand was the only country “refused entry” to Pearl Harbour.

Defence Force spokesman Major John Gordon said the two frigates were berthed at Aloha Towers, which is the tourist part of Honolulu Port.

The Government’s lawyers have contracted out handling of the Kim Dotcom case as the internet mogul heads back to court.

After a string of blunders, the Crown Law Office has drafted in one of the country’s most expert lawyers to handle the extradition hearing.

Meredith Connell partner and senior counsel Christine Gordon will take over from the Crown Law Office lawyers, who have faced a string of bruising legal encounters since Dotcom and three co-accused were arrested in January at the request of the FBI.
