She sure chose the right show to go on then. Last year’s winner’s first two singles didn’t even chart! Should have gone on Idol instead.

[DPF: You have to be older to go on idol - 15 or 16 I think]

so more distraction from the issue that is making most of the headlines this week – the unethical behaviour of John Banks and John Keys unwillingness to acknowledge it.

[DPF: 20 demerits for trolling and off topic. I do 10 or so posts a day, on what I find interesting. I have blogged previously on Banks, and have said I am critical of his behaviour. However I generally don't believe you lose your seat based on what you did before you entered Parliament.

If Banks had done that return while an MP and Minister, I'd be wanting him held to a higher standard that Peters was - who did worse]

Haha MikeG what a twat you are. Joe and Joanne Public actually couldn’t give a shit about this. The whole thing is a fucking joke and an acknowledgment that the opposition is struggling to get any traction at all on the issues that kiwis want to hear about. I reckon they should look into the financials of Len Brown’s campaign. I bet the left would get bloody nervous were that top happen.

Yep, X Factor was commissioned entirely to distract the world from John Banks.

Speaking of ‘talent’ I see Rosanne Barr is up for the Presidency. She’s looking a bit worse for wear, but it’ll sure add some mirth to the campaign (a bit like Obama’s foreign policy which is a joke).

nd a well-earned 20 demerits MikeG – why don’t you ask your bosses at Willis Street how much they pocketed from Bill Liu?

A bit embarrassing for Britney when a 13 year old can out-sing her.
    Beautifully I might add.

I liked her chilled parents, not hypo My-Child-Must-Be-a-God types. And she was so grounded (at 16!!!!). Awesome. Real talent just shines and when you have the personality and humility to go with it, an amazing package.
