About to head up Mt Ruapehu, so unlikely to blog more today, unless the mountain closes early.

I suspect DPF will be back early, if the weather here any indication (-:

It would be even better if you added a string and imagined him as a kite

One convenient thing about Ruapehu is that its about half way between Wellington and Auckland.

And, if you were so inclined, it would prove to be a handy meeting place for friends travelling from opposite directions….

And if the weather packed in, I really don’t think that DPF (resplendent in his Jean Claude Killy kit) would be that fussed that he had to retreat back from the piste to having a quiet at the Powder Keg….

    As you do… :D

Whatever happened to the doom merchants predicting the demise of the ski industry as the snow-line rose past where the ski fields are? The snow base on Turoa currently sits at over 2.5 meters!!
