Boardroom Gender Diversity Summit

October 4th, 2012 at 12:00 pm by David Farrar

I was on a panel at the recent Miro Summit on gender diversity in the boardroom. My speaking notes are here.

As I said, I am not a fan of any sort of quota system, but I do think that companies do better with diversity (in all its forms) on their board.

Anyway for those interested in this area, Women on Boards have a Gender Diversity Summit on the 1st of November. Their keynote speaker is Dr Sharon Lord, who in her 30s was a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Ronald Reagan. Lord lives in NZ for five years.

    The name of this “summit” is in itself a farce. Unadulterated bullshit concocted by wishy-washy (il)liberals.

    Farrar I am really amazed that you and so many of National are blind to what all such issues really are.

    Diversionary tactics and designed also to fracture opposition to covert radical socialism.

    When you participate, the left win.

    Treat them with the contempt they deserve and the left lose.

    (and I don’t care if this women has some tenuous connection to Reagan, she is a misguided fool.)

    Evidence? Surely experience, ability and boring stuff like that is more relevant than genitalia or ancestry?

    That said, I was personally horrified to learn that at Apple the top 12 executives are all white men (which, in less than a decade and a half, has gone from down-and-out to the world’s highest stock market valuation).

    “Neanderthal ally”

    Typical no argument progressive. All for it but doesn’t know why or even understand it other than in the most superficial way.

    (that’s why to install a left wing government, education has to be dumbed down)

    ..and if you haven’t got an argument, call them names.

    That’ll work.

    a summit has a rather bosomy appeal,it’s the hidden crater a bloke has to wary of entering.

    @Redbaiter

    Since you ask far a more detailed response, here it is;

    I had to share a lunch room once with a whole lot of pig ignorant revolting neanderthals who thought all women were stupid and nymphomaniacs. Their idea of culture was titty calendars everywhere. I was at best embarrassing.

    The same kind of ‘shit for brains’ comments here I find offensive and indicative of the narrow minded Precambrian attitude of dickheads who are legends in their own minds. But are actually just sad old dried up men.
