Flight Radar

A nifty little website at Flight Radar.

It shows you in real time every major plane in the world that is currently in the air. Quite fascinating to look at.

Doesn’t show many NZ flights though.

Was really handy when my sisters flight from bankok was running late though, could tell people exactly when it came back into NZ airspace, and an accurate arrival time, saving them from having to wait around at the airport on it.

Cathay Pacific Chigaco to Hong Kong. Presumably the direct route takes it via Alaska and then somewhere over Japan or Korea.

The tin-foil hat wearers use it to trace the non-existence of chemtrail planes.

There seems to be **nothing** happening over Beijing or North Korea.
North Korea I can understand, but Beijing? I would have expected to see at least a **few** flights around there.
Maybe Comrade Helen at the UN has shut them down for a few hours…..

It all depends on what data certain countries allow out of their air traffic control systems, and who in that country wants to put it up on sites like this.

You’ll notice that most of the US traffic is on 5 minute delay for terrorism reasons.

No it does not show all flights, or even most, in some areas. Globally about 60% have the technology used.

But it is fun. Check out the flights over Europe !

“Does Dime get to party with his brother’s Air Hostesses? The ‘Sluts of the Sky’..?” lol harsh!

Dime thinks they should have all been replaced by a vending machine years ago :P

Brother is settled now… well, as settled as a dirtbag pilot can get!

Won’t let me look at the cockpit view. Shame as I have a friend flying over the Red Centre of Oz right this moment.
