Tamihere on Labour front bench
October 7th, 2012 at 6:13 pm by David FarrarJohn Tamihere on Q+A:
PAUL Yeah, but we’re now 2012, as I say. I mean, do you think David Shearer’s got to really reshuffle that front bench? I mean, you can’t honestly look at that front bench and think they’re performing well as an Opposition.
MR TAMIHERE That’s true, but he’s also got to look to 2014 for the list.
PAUL It’s critical, because this week – you take this week. Bad week for the government. Should have been. More Dotcom coming left, right and centre at the Prime Minister.
MR TAMIHERE You’ve got me. There’s no doubt—
PAUL Wilkinson’s reversal on Mike Tyson.
MR TAMIHERE Front bench is not firing.
PAUL No.
MR TAMIHERE Across the whole line, whether it’s health, welfare or education, and those are the biggies. …
I’m surprised Tamihere named specific portfolios where he claimed Labour front benchers are not firing. That will not endear him to Maryan Street, Jacinda Ardern and Nanaia Mahuta.

Yes, isn’t it a shame that someone from the Left is judging Ministers on merit and not out of their own interests.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 6:35 pm
Did i hear the words “front bums” again?
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 6:41 pm
Guess it’s better he’s talking about “front bench” rather than front bums!
Not to mention his abandoning his pet cats, who subsequently had to be put down.
If Labour rehabilitates this guy, there will be thousands of votes from erstwhile Labour voters who are women and animal rights supporters moving to the Greens.
As far as I am concerned, someone who moves house and leaves their pets behind to die is the lowest of the low – even worse than John Banks, who at least cares about animals.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 6:42 pm
There is not a snowballs chance in hell of JT being selected. Be funny if he did as you can imagine years and years of his public statements coming back to bite him in the arse.
Vote:We had to turn his show off at work with his angry ranting and raving after he lost the very lucrative social welfare contract for early start, have a quick squizz at early start providers on the charities website and see how much surplus cash they generate. One of them has managed to accumulate over950k in a savings account, Paula Bennets department should be hung out to dry with this taxpayers largesse.
October 7th, 2012 at 6:50 pm
Wake up. Of course liebour can’t fire when national is busy introducing all labours policies.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 6:58 pm
If Labour rehabilitates this guy, there will be thousands of votes from erstwhile Labour voters who are women and animal rights supporters moving to the Greens.
Whereas there’ll be thousands of others moving back to Liarbore after having stayed away because they couldn’t stand the sisterhood.
And who cares if people like that go to the Gweens? That’ll raise the IQ of both camps.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 7:01 pm
“even worse than John Banks, who at least cares about animals.”
True even we of the right care about animals…even amphibians..not a lot mind you..just a little!

If he stood – hed walk in.
Vote:Lets face it (Im assuming hed be standing for labour) labour are a bunch of loosers at the moment. I dont think hes planning to stand to be an MP, hes planning to stand to be PM, or at least leader of the labour party.
I think many of the public are starting to get pissed off with those who have a go about ‘front bums’ – the front bums need kicking out and they need someone in there with ‘balls”…

Do you really hate women holding positions of political power that much? Then what about Jenny Shipley? Didn’t hear you bleating then.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 9:15 pm
The bleating really started when the second “female” PM took over toadie!
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 9:18 pm
Second female pm JB did we have more than one? There was Dame Jenny Shipley, then a harpy named hellun
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 9:21 pm
One must use the term “female” in the broadest possible sense these days Griff.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 9:22 pm
Typical of your ilk tosd. if you criticise any women for their opinions you’re a sexist. If you criticise a non-white your a racist. Take you bigoted crap somewhere else toadie.

Press this button and you get “mysoginist”..!!! press this button you get “racist”..!! press another button and you get “homophobic”..!!!
Fucking pathetic.
Nobody had a problem with Margaret Thatcher.
But then she wasn’t a brainwashed commie stooge like most of the so called women on your side of the political spectrum.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 9:30 pm
@Kevin 9:22 pm
You really don’t get it! Criticising women or non-whites for their opinions is fine.
It is when you start associating that with something predetermined by their gender or ethnicity you become a bigot.
Which you have just revealed yourself as, my darling Kevin.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 9:32 pm
Denis did Red.
“Thatcher agreed with his wife on most political issues, though he was strongly against the death penalty, calling it “absolutely awful” and “barbaric”, while she favoured it. ”
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 9:34 pm
Well said Kevin. People like this “toad” character are fucking pathetic. If you change your vote from anyone but a white male, you’re a bigot of some kind. Which makes him the biggest self-loathing bigot there is, and just the sort of scum that is killing the west.
I channeled RB there I think. Don’t agree with everything he says, or his method of engagement, but whoever he is, he is one of the smartest commenters in the blogosphere.

I did, ‘baiter. Not to mention the majority of people in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland that the English monarchy still colonises.
‘Baiter, you should have had a job as a poll tax collector in Glasgow during Thatcher’s regime – might have given an appreciation of the public contempt for her policies outside the City of London.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 9:41 pm
Not surprising though is it toad. The City of London basically fund all those other regions so rightly got sick of the bludging
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 9:44 pm
BTW, I agree with most of the comments above.
Toad with his mix of Stalinism and Marxism is utterly repugnant and it grieves me deeply to see such a disgusting communist mindset abroad in our western democracies.

Little do you know. I was actually more aligned with anarchism before I joined the Greens.
I have read much by Marx – in short, agree with most of the analysis, but disagree with most of the proposed solutions.
And I can’t think of anything Stalin ever did that I support, apart from opposing Hitler.

The Toad and the Psychic Hotline
A toad telephones the Psychic Hotline and is told, “You are going to

The toad says, “This is great! Will I meet her at a party, or what?”
“No,” says the psychic. “Next semester in her biology class.”

Government is now over 50% of GDP and we’re at the bottom of the OECD. 50 years ago government wes about 25%,of GDP and we we’re number 3.
In all the decades of rabid socialism, wealth redistribution through benefits for everything not one single economic or social indicator has improved but newt still supports more government and more wealth redistribution.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 10:05 pm
BTW, just so readers understand my references, the Pol Pot regime had a policy of re-education, whereby workers were forced to attend classes where they were indoctrinated with communist political theory.
Anyone who resisted these re-education programs, and kept their own minds, were only tolerated for a short time. If any of the “teachers” reported anyone as not responding to the “re-education” methods, they were designated as enemies of the regime and taken out into the killing fields and executed initially by a bullet to the head, and then as the economy collapsed and bullets became unaffordable, by suffocation with reusable plastic bags.
Such is the political heritage of the left, and its only one reason why they’re against the teaching of history in schools.

@Johnboy 9:46 pm
Only if a tax redistributes wealth from the poor to the rich (which is what a poll tax does).
As does GST to some extent, although that is now so embedded in our tax structure that it would be hard to dismantle and raise an alternative revenue source.

Toads people would only use biodegradable plastic bags though Red!

Oh a threat from a toady. Yes NZ is probably going to go through it like South Korea did but hopefully we will emerge strong on the other side.
I free equal societies do better that why I’m so obsessively in favour of equality and against the iwi elitist scam. Toad is not. Money where mouth is toad.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 10:11 pm
“So you’re saying I should pay more tax to avoid being bombed?”
Yes he is saying that, at the same time as he scolds us for being what he perceives as “misogynist”.
There is no bottom to the depth of the moral sickness of these leftist would be tyrants.
Why everyone must pay at least some tax- If any part of society pays no tax, then there is no cost to that part of society in asking for more and more services from the state, or those who do pay tax.
The non-taxpayers have no skin in the game, and are not therefore hurt by rising taxes. They will therefore vote again and again for politicians cynical and power hungry enough to promise them more and more from the public purse, and there is no shortage of these kind on the left of the political spectrum.
It’s just one more way the left pervert democracy.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 10:12 pm
Shucks Toadie you are only saying that cause GST was a socialist instigated tax initiative surely?
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 10:14 pm
He he get might yet become uninforcible. In which case a tax strike by the workers might help.

Toad no doubt is sipping on his chardonnay, discussing with other “elite” socialists just how great they are for supporting the “great unwashed” (his quote). Do you pay voluntary tax Toad? If not, I assume you have no problem with your house being bombed?
I made the mistake of rading McCarten’s herald column today, and took some heart from the comments. He got torn apart for his errors, which is good to see in such a socialist rag. Deliciously ironic that a tax cheat continually calls for higher taxes.
Vote:October 7th, 2012 at 10:23 pm

Hows the students paid to collect signatures rip off going ?
October 7th, 2012 at 10:24 pm
You would sue me for commenting on the admitted activities of your party? Do you have much of an understanding of law? You would actually stand in a court and claim to be defamed by someone who knows you only as toad?
It’s almost tempting to go back through your comments to see whether you live by these standards.

Nah, actually drinking $22 dollar a cardboard box plonk Zapper. I’m no wealthy prick pretending to be what I am not.
And I pay the tax I am assessed for. Which IMO is not enough, because I can still have a good lifestyle while paying more to support those who at the moment do not.

So why don’t you pay voluntary tax if your assessed tax is not enough in your mind?
I also find it interesting that you use the term “wealthy prick”. So anyone who is wealthy is a prick. How dare they work so hard, contribute more in tax in a week than you pay in a year, create jobs etc etc.
