Anyone who takes a helicopter view sees that this is a war between the old-guard conservatives and a new-generation of more relevant and progressive members.

It’s not as simple as that. From what I can see the ‘new-generation of more relevant and progressive members’ is dominated by old-guard activists wanting to return to conservative Labour values and conservative union domination.

The Membership won. Those in Job Protection Mode, the HO staff, the Parliamenttary Services clique, the List MPs, the past-sell-by-date crowd lost.

Robertson sees it and is sh*t scared.

Cunliffe see it and is giving it a voice. And Cunliffe owes no favours.

See when Goff was defeated it was a bit like the English defeat but in stark contrast after that the heroic Nats pulled themselves together and immediately started looking like the superb in control team of winners that they actually always were and are.

Labour however continue to display themselves like a team of untrained circus animals as they lurch from unelectable leader to unelectable leader, with the third unelectable leader waiting in the wings just raring to drive the team to yet another crashing defeat as the curse of Hulun continues to play itself out in an appalling display of her terrible destructive power, even when she’s not even there, anymore.
