Finlayson had a real glint in the eye in delivering that speech. The General Debate can be a bit of a let-down most weeks, but Finlayson’s speech yesterday was a ripper.

Finlayson’s speech was a gem. He particularly highlighted the tendency of the Left to revise history to suit current ideology; ‘Michael Bassett did not exist’, ‘ Labour invented ACC – (not true, it was introduced by Jack Marshal’s Government)’ etc. etc.
