I’d have to agree with the Cunliffe prediction to make a stronger leadership challenge.
Because Shearer come across to me as a grey anonymous nothing uninspiring leader with no personality. Even John Key’s shadow has got more going for it that Shearer.
But either way it doesn’t matter. National in 2014.

Really? Why? Did she miss out on the Joker of the Year award?

Larry Williams is an incisive interviewer. Well deserved.

There was another list of nominations in the Dom/Post this morning. They were by Dave Armstrong who writes a column for the paper. He’s not nearly a good as Cactus Kate but I thought one of them was unintentionally very funny.
Vote:For Local MP of the year he nominated HUTT SOUTH MP Chris Hipkins.
I wonder who will be the most mortified? Will it be Hipkins or Trevor Mallard? Imagine being so forgettable that neither the columnist, nor a fact checker if they have one knows you are the MP for Rimatuka. And if you are Trevor how would you feel knowing your seat has been given away.

Left and right: I wish I shared your optimism. Given the Nats’ share of the vote last time, and the resulting one seat majority, I just can’t see it next time.
alwyn: Hipkins should still be at school.

Maggie Barry gets it for a sledge on Andrew Williams which Todd McLay did better (because it cleverly picked up on something Williams had said and used it to mock him) and asking Jacinda Ardern “How many kids do you have?” Hardly stellar repartee… more like something Muldoon would have growled when sloshed.
Agree with Manolo though, Williams certainly deserves his award.

David Garrett:
You’re right. I always get confused by the fact that National received 47% of the popular vote and yet still struggled to form a coalition government. That’s MMP for ya.
What does that mean then? Labour/ Greens? GREENS???? The extreme left. Oh cool I can’t wait for that circus to come to town.

Agree with Larry Williams, he has common sense, and can cut through the BS.

typically worthless piece by Kate
Vote:Her showing up on the political panel on radio live was one of the worst audio moments of 2013 barely able to cobble together a coherant sentence she displayed why she is best known as a blogging hack

Cactus Cate is surrounded by an undeserved mythological bit of credit, by some, and this post just proves she should rather spend her time sipping on glasses filled with endlessly flowing champagne, rather than try to look credible as a sort of political commentator (clown).

Fuck I wish I was Cactus Kate instead of me. I’d happily cop a few knockers and not really give a shit what they think either.
