The problem isn’t the amount that has to be consumed to be harmful.

The problem is that some of our export markets have an allowable limit for DCD of zero. So we have been shipping them a product that doesn’t meet their import standards.

This is a serious breach of contract and the legal ramifications may be massive.

Don’t worry the Greens will be all over this .
They hate the dairy industry and their modus operandi is to use this type of incident to push the anti-dairying message. The Greens are financial wreckers, aiming to bring down our market economy. Their eventual aim is a far left regime where the state will tell you what you can and can’t do.To do this they use the process of divide and rule.
The Communist philosophy is not dead, it lives on in the deep crevices of the Greens. Well meaning people are being used for political purposes,especially our young.
A good book to read how the Communists work is “”Iron Curtain” by Anne Applebaum. The crushing of Eastern Europe 1944-1956. A story how ordinary citizens were deprived of their freedoms by a radical minority. Remember that Keith Locke was at one stage an advocate of the Marxist-Leninist philosophy.

ah but the same rules have been applied to Kiwifruit and meat and salt.
Because you can now measure infetisimal amount in a product that apprently make it unfit for human consumption.
Therein lies the problem with solving the Kiwifruit debacle of PSA.
Plenty of old sprays that could have stopped the rot. Not allowed to use them because some twat can detect residue. That’s despite the fact that for years it was a safe to use product.
Trade Barriers come to mind.
Much like the GE thing.

This is amusing. The same people who think “chemicals” are something to be feared, are the very people who tend to support the AGW story.

People with a bit of scientific knowledge know that food is nothing but a bunch of chemical compounds, as are people. Many foods naturally contain potentially toxic compounds which our bodies can handle. Also dose is a major factor. You would die from the milk itself way before the minute traces of DCD got you.
