What man-made climate change?
There is no proof whatsoever that mans activities are causing climate change. Yes there is a lot of change – but its simply a theory that man has a major (or even minor) influence.
Leaving aside the serious questions about such corrupt things as the hockey stick lies that the like of Gore tried to con us with, the cause of the Little ice age (approx 1000 – 1200AD) and the Medieveil warm periods (around 800AD) remain totally unexplained except for the fact that CO2 couldnt have been a factor.
Depending on whose figures one uses, there was about a 6C change from the warmth of the warm period to the minimum of the little ice age. One group (the pro man made lot) basically say that these two periods are way over rated and really didnt happen. The other lot quite rightly say that the causes remain fully unknown and that this belief in CO2 is misplaced and if the cause is not CO2, then we will be in deep shit when things continue to change even if westop all use of carbon.
They have a point. If we stopped using carbon tomorrow it will be at least a hundred years befor the CO2 levels start falling – and by then we might find that temperatures are way up anyway because the cause turned out to be something else.

Over the past two years, the Pentagon has become embroiled in conflicts in Libya, Somalia, Mali and central Africa. Meantime, the Air Force is setting up a fourth African drone base, while Navy warships are increasing their missions along the coastlines of East and West Africa.
In scope and expense, the U.S. military involvement in Africa still barely registers when compared with its presence in Asia, let alone the Middle East or Afghanistan. On any given day, there are only about 5,000 U.S. troops scattered across all of Africa, while 28,000 are stationed in South Korea alone.
But it is becoming more common for the Pentagon to deploy troops to parts of Africa that many Americans would be hard-pressed to locate on a map, such as Djibouti, the Central African Republic and now the West African country of Niger, where the U.S. military is planning a base for Predator drones.

The alledged thief of an iPhone belonging to Chris Cherry, a student at Victoria University in Wellington. Cherry managed to track down his missing phone using several tracking apps. Photo / Supplied
A man who lost his smartphone managed to track it down by remotely installing software which allowed him to find who was using it.
But Victoria University doctoral student Chris Cherry’s sleuthing led to an unpleasant discovery – the alleged thief was someone who worked on campus.
Police have since charged the alleged thief, who continues to work at the university.
For Mr Cherry, there is little doubt about the identity of the culprit as a result of the evidence he gathered which led to the arrest.
The phone was lost about six months ago after he left it on a window ledge in a university toilet. He wrote it off and bought another.
However, when Mr Cherry began uploading applications from a tablet device he accidentally clicked on an icon for his old phone, rather than the new one he had replaced it with.
He found the old phone was still active – and contained content he had not created or used.
He then used software called Plan B – a “find your phone” app that sent five GPS signals to his email address from the campus.
Another application called AndroidLost gave the lost phone’s serial number and email addresses of the person using it.
From this information, Mr Cherry found a Facebook page and recognised a staff member he spoke to the morning the phone went missing.
He took photographs remotely using the camera at the front of the phone, capturing images of the alleged thief, and also recorded the man speaking.
One evening Mr Cherry was able to grab the entire 350MB contents of the phone, including holiday pictures and other personal information.
He passed the evidence to police and a man was charged with theft.
Mr Cherry complained to the university about the staff member.
Rainsforth Dix, the associate director of campus operations, determined that the staff member “must provide a written apology, pay for a new Sim card and, if you wish to do so, meet with you to allow you to tell him of the impact of his actions”.
When Mr Cherry objected, he was told his emailed complaint was not considered a “formal” complaint and would not be until he wrote to Vice-chancellor Professor Pat Walsh.
Mr Cherry said: “The university want to drown me in bureaucracy … they’re seeking to tie me up in some weird, Byzantine process.”
The university has refused to comment. The court case is tomorrow.

There is no proof whatsoever that mans activities are causing climate change. Yes there is a lot of change – but its simply a theory that man has a major (or even minor) influence.
Leaving aside the serious questions about such corrupt things as the hockey stick lies that the like of Gore tried to con us with, the cause of the Little ice age (approx 1000 – 1200AD) and the Medieveil warm periods (around 800AD) remain totally unexplained except for the fact that CO2 couldnt have been a factor.

One group (the pro man made lot) basically say that these two periods are way over rated and really didnt happen. The other lot quite rightly say that the causes remain fully unknown and that this belief in CO2 is misplaced and if the cause is not CO2, then we will be in deep shit when things continue to change even if westop all use of carbon.
They have a point. If we stopped using carbon tomorrow it will be at least a hundred years befor the CO2 levels start falling – and by then we might find that temperatures are way up anyway because the cause turned out to be something else.

Id much rather we did things like realise that whatever is done , it will be decades – maybe even centuries – before anything starts reversing – so no matter what the cause we will probably have to face higher temperatures and possible sea level rises – so we would be best to plan for new plant breeding to produce plants that handle higher temperatures, to start now to find new drugs and proceedures to handle the spread of tropical deseases, etc.
Because its doesnt matter what the cause – these things will happen.
But to blindly assume that a tax will reduce carbon usage, and to totally believe that carbon is the cause and that we will be able to reverse its effect (if it is the casue ) is pretty one eyed and a seriously dangerous optiion to take.

AE911Truth Evidence Goes to Court Feb 25, 2013
On February 25, in the small town of Horsham in the United Kingdom, there will be a rare and potentially groundbreaking opportunity for the 9/11 truth movement. Three hours of detailed 9/11 evidence is to be presented and considered in a court of law where the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) will be challenged over the inaccurate and biased manner in which it has portrayed the events and evidence of 9/11.
Over the last 16 months, BBC has been challenged strongly by individuals in the UK over two documentaries that they showed in September 2011 as part of the tenth anniversary of 9/11, namely ‘9/11: Conspiracy Road Trip’ and ‘The Conspiracy Files: 9/11 Ten Years On’. Formal complaints were lodged with BBC over the inaccuracy and bias of these documentaries, which, according to 9/11 activists, was in breach of the operating requirements of BBC through their ‘Royal Charter and Agreement’ with the British public. This document requires BBC to show information that is both accurate and impartial. These complaints were supported by the US-based educational charity Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911Truth), which submitted detailed scientific evidence to BBC to buttress the complaints. The evidence focuses in particular on the confirmed free-fall of WTC 7 and NIST’s 2008 admission of this fact. In addition, over 300 AE911Truth petition signers supported these complaints by sending letters to BBC, requesting that BBC show this evidence to the public.

They do it with legalese. In a legal context the word “person” means a party who has an obligation, typically to the state. The forums for legal contests involving the state (i.e. District Courts & the High Court) only have personal jurisdiction, not general jurisdiction, which means that the courts will assume that you are obliged to obey unless you know how to argue otherwise. The assumption that you are a person (in the legal sense of the word) is what makes you, for all intents and purposes, a slave.

And I’d like to see the signature of AGW – namely enhanced warming at the poles and in the troposphere. As it is the complete absence of this signature is evidence that recent warming is entirely natural.
This real-world evidence has comprehensively disproved the AGW theory.

So that enhanced Arctic warming you think you see on the map you link to is entirely the result of data manipulation to the handful of stations’ data, which they then use to represent the entire area. It is fraud.
As for the Antarctic, it is a matter of record that the vast majority of it has experienced flat or cooling temperatures.
Remember when you posted links to scientific papers you claimed refuted this point, but you hadn’t actually read any of them and they in fact provided evidence which supported my claim? You cited them, yet when you found out they contradicted your orthodoxy you dismiss them. What does that tell us about you, Griff? About your integrity and honest? About the sort of person you are?
So what have we learned:
- Sixteen years of flat temperatures, in direct contradiction of what the AGW alarmists promised.

I would have thought that a principled person, not paying their rates to protest a point, would act to make that point within a reasonable time – say, at the outside two years – if only to emphasize how fucking useless the Auckland City council is in having ratepayers comply with the simplest first requirement – that they pay rates.
Someone who allows this position to exist for up to four years or longer is not acting in a principled manner displaying any integrity – rather they are as corrupt as those they claim to campaign against.

Smart phone work ends with twist

A man who lost his smartphone managed to track it down by remotely installing software which allowed him to find who was using it.
But Victoria University doctoral student Chris Cherry’s sleuthing led to an unpleasant discovery – the alleged thief was someone who worked on campus.
Police have since charged the alleged thief, who continues to work at the university.
For Mr Cherry, there is little doubt about the identity of the culprit as a result of the evidence he gathered which led to the arrest.
The phone was lost about six months ago after he left it on a window ledge in a university toilet. He wrote it off and bought another.
However, when Mr Cherry began uploading applications from a tablet device he accidentally clicked on an icon for his old phone, rather than the new one he had replaced it with.
He found the old phone was still active – and contained content he had not created or used.
He then used software called Plan B – a “find your phone” app that sent five GPS signals to his email address from the campus.
Another application called AndroidLost gave the lost phone’s serial number and email addresses of the person using it.
From this information, Mr Cherry found a Facebook page and recognised a staff member he spoke to the morning the phone went missing.
He took photographs remotely using the camera at the front of the phone, capturing images of the alleged thief, and also recorded the man speaking.
One evening Mr Cherry was able to grab the entire 350MB contents of the phone, including holiday pictures and other personal information.
He passed the evidence to police and a man was charged with theft.
Mr Cherry complained to the university about the staff member.
Rainsforth Dix, the associate director of campus operations, determined that the staff member “must provide a written apology, pay for a new Sim card and, if you wish to do so, meet with you to allow you to tell him of the impact of his actions”.
When Mr Cherry objected, he was told his emailed complaint was not considered a “formal” complaint and would not be until he wrote to Vice-chancellor Professor Pat Walsh.
Mr Cherry said: “The university want to drown me in bureaucracy … they’re seeking to tie me up in some weird, Byzantine process.”
The university has refused to comment. The court case is tomorrow.
