South Africa skittled Pakistan for 49 overnight in the 1st test. We were awful in South Africa, but let’s give the Proteas some credit; they are far and away the best bowling side in test cricket at the moment.
I had to deal with a young drunk Polynesian moron who wouldn’t leave me alone at around 6-7am… I was trying to go to McDonald’s for a soft serve cone… an after town thing I do…. kept asking me for a lift on my bike and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Kept trying to grab my bike and then hit me on the helmet after I put it back on…
Went to the police in Victoria St…. and they said… you didn’t think to call 111?
Nothing they could do…. they didn’t have the resources. Even if I had called 111…. if it’s not a high enough priority… you’re out of luck.
So… if the crime is small enough… feel free to do whatever you want and get away with it…. yippee!!!! What are the cops going to do about it? What cops?

An excellent article from the Daily Telegraph on “Equality”. Reference equality there’s a lot of talk now about women and combat roles. Well that would be fine but they are admitted on a lower physical entry test (same with the police) How is that “equality”?
…so whoever gave me the negative is ok with the sideshow that is Waitangi day in NZ? Why? Its a joke. Just look at Australia and the way they celebrate their national day…no comparison.
Waitangi day in NZ is a cringe fest and an embarrassment. All its good for is time and a half with a day in lieu.

In Auckland, many said first home buyers were shut out of the market by foreign investors and developers who real estate agents warmed to with “open arms”.
“Our year-long search has been one of constant disappointments and shock at the amount people are prepared to pay,” said a respondent who was searching for a home with his fiancee. “Some sort of tax on those who have more than one or two properties or those purchasing properties for family members who do not reside in New Zealand seems a fair and realistic solution to me.”
As with the folk who tick the New Zealander box in the census forms, why not stop calling it “Waitangi” Day in any references and start calling it NewZealand Day, as it was.
I’ve seen that in a notice in a shop. I know gummint depts won’t do it but so what.
If the Libyans could oust Gaddafi then New Zealanders can stand up for their country in small ways and embarrass the elite into seeing the Emperor has no clothes.
Enjoy your New Zealand Day holiday.
Hot debate. What do you think? 224 You need to be logged in to vote
LAJ I don’t know why they go up there. It doesn’t matter who’s PM, they just seem to have to grin and bear the annual ritual humiliation from a bunch of ne’er do wells from bandit country
Maybe it’s worth the insults because every year (and 2013 will be the same) the disgust and resentment among non-Maori gets more and more entrenched, allowing policy that will affect many Maori to be accepted by the 90% who aren’t weighed down by tribal bull shit and intergenerational hopelessness.
Otherwise what’s the point?

The boil that is Waitangi day needs to be lanced before we can all move on. If maori want to fight and argue, fine do it among yourselves..the rest of NZ wants to move forward and leave this bullshit behind.

Another continuing fail to fix by the National Party.
Fuck they can’t fix the simple stuff so why would we excpect them to fix things like Waitangai and the theft of our citizenship by the Activist Judges and treaty sycophants.
Fire Service to appeal over levy schemes
ROB STOCK
Last updated 05:00 03/02/2013
The Fire Service is to appeal against the High Court decision late last year which ruled as legal the schemes designed by insurance brokers to help large corporates reduce their fire levies.
The Sunday Star-Times broke the story of the legal battle over the schemes, which allow large property-owning businesses to structure their insurance to dramatically slash their fire levy in a way homeowners cannot.
The Fire Service says if such schemes are allowed, then mum and dad homeowners will have to foot more of the bill for the vital emergency service.
“The advice we have is there are still some legal issues which are worth exploring further and we support that because we are trying to manage the levy base for the whole of New Zealand, not just a sector within New Zealand which is seeking to arrange their insurances to minimise their contribution,” Fire Service national commander Paul Baxter said.

This rort has been going on for years. Is well known and yet taxpayers annd homeowners are ignored. Lots are complaining house prices are to high but what about reudcing the expenses once you own one. Captive audience as usual while the owners of commercial property get a cheap ride.
Probably Minister of Internal Affairs.
Ah yes that one who recently did some dodgy Real estate stuff.
Hon Chris Tremain
Chris Tremain is currently the Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister of Civil Defence, and Associate Minister of Tourism.
Born and raised in Napier, Chris attended Taradale Primary School and Taradale Intermediate before moving to Napier Boys High School, where he was Head Boy and a member of the 1st XV. He went on to Massey University to further his education, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) and a Diploma of Business Studies (Marketing).
Prior to entering Parliament, Chris was a successful Napier businessman. He has been involved in a number of prominent Hawke’s Bay businesses including Tremain Real Estate, Tremain Travel and Colliers International.
Chris has a strong record of community involvement, and has been the Chairman of Sport Hawke’s Bay, Old Boys Marist Rugby Club, the Guardians of Hawkes Bay Fisheries and the Eskview Junior Rugby Club.
In 2005 Chris entered Parliament by winning the Napier seat, the first National Party candidate to do so since 1951. He secured Napier with an increased majority in 2008 and held it again in 2011.
He was elected as the Junior Whip for the National Party in 2007 and in 2009 became the senior whip. Following the 2011 election he was appointed as a Minister outside Cabinet with Ministerial responsibilities for Civil Defence and Consumer Affairs, and held Associate Ministerial responsibilities in Tourism and Transport. In April 2012 he was appointed as a Minister in Cabinet with amended responsibilities.

More rubbish.
Plenty of houses for sale in auckland for the last year. Procrastinators can never make decisions and so now they are 10% worse off. Why should they blame others for their inability to achieve their goals.
I’ve watched countless people rant like this on property blogs and in the end they are just unable to make a decision.
Either that or they are just not able to earn sufficient for a bank to have enough confidence to bankroll them.
Its all in their own hands.
Power companies had revalued their assets and were using increases on the balance sheet to justify higher prices, he said.
Energy Minister Simon Bridges ducked the issue yesterday while spokesmen for Mighty River Power and Genesis Energy declined to comment.
But electricity industry watchdog Molly Melhuish says Bertram is bang on, and the Government is not doing enough to protect consumers. “This is the only country in which the regulator protects investors instead of consumers,” she says.
Bertram’s research shows most other Western nations have had little growth in power prices in recent decades.
More than the possible worry of a suitable settlement of Maori water rights, this situation of revalued assets will not be corrected [nor power prices lowered] before assets are partially sold.
Lucky for the Government that the fucking Treaty is just between Maori and the Crown.
My wife just reminded my that our grandchildren are 8th generation Kiwi’s. It seems that counts for nothing when it comes to who owns NZ and its assets.
Those kids have had a family in NZ longer than the other half of the rough caste cross breds that consider they own everything.
One can look at the various names of various cross breds and establish their family timelines very easily.
Its taken until that generation for their to be any mixing of blood lines.
We must have had plenty of good taste.
Kiwis will just have to accept living in apartments is necessary in larger cities. The alternative is urban sprawl, poor public transport, traffic congestion, costly infrastructure.
But, we also need to build quality apartments at affordable prices. And certainly not the horrendous apartments they are building in Auckland these days.
I’d like to see grand new york / London style buildings. Not the cardboard box type of things we seem to build.

One word.
Earthquakes.
Costs are such that cheap will never be.
I’m going to try to be consistent and use the same line with myself as I would with something you see in the news where they were begging for trouble….
I didn’t **need** to be anywhere near a CBD fast food outlet at that time of day and blow me down… after the 7s too when there’s a lot more zombies on the street. There’s another McDonald’s on my way home in the suburbs I could’ve gone to. Easy. And did go to. I would’ve saved myself a shitty shitty morning if I’d gone there first. I usually just walk to the CBD one too.
And looking at it now I can only think to myself… have you learnt fucking *nothing* in life? Are you a total fucking brainless moron? Coming up 36 and learnt fucking nothing. Need to think hard….. all the time…. why might this be a bad idea?
Wow… I can see why I like my house so much… not that you’re safe from invasions there… I clearly lack the necessary good sense to feel comfortable venturing away from it.
Liarbors A Joke at 9.25 has a sentence that is so important that it must be repeated.
“The boil that is Waitangi Day needs to be lanced before we can all move on.”
An axiomatic statement.
Is there a Maori that does not have Pakeha blood in his system.
We know that there is South Eastern Tribal Taiwanese DNA, well before Pakeha blood mix.
Or do we continue to listen to their bullshit.
Peter (Pita when suits) Sharples is half English – (like Ena Sharples of Coronation Street).
Tania Turia is half American.
That’s all fine provided they do not continue to depict pure aboriginal blood.
For someone who tried so hard to eschew media coverage of her sexuality, there’s a whole lot of talking about the ‘L’ word in the Sunday Magazine scalping of Alison Mau.
“The boil that is Waitangi Day needs to be lanced before we can all move on.”
As I say to aussies, poms etc here in QLD-
” When I was a kid in the ’70′s, the only people who got dressed up and bothered to attend Waitangi Day events were the police, it became a tradition for them, but I have noticed in the last couple of years that they are getting replaced with security guards -mostly black ones- it isn’t getting any better.”
It seems that the enlightened city of Sydney now has a museum devoted to the glories of homosexuality – at least a temporary one. But they are hoping to turn it into a permanent fixture to commemorate and celebrate this high-risk lifestyle.
Just imagine if the city of Sydney, complete with full tax-payer funding, set up a museum to extol other lifestyles like this? What about a tobacco and smoking museum, celebrating this lifestyle? Why do I suspect that the government would have nothing to do with this, but in fact take active steps to prevent it from even happening?
Both are high risk and dangerous lifestyles, yet the state has done a complete reversal here. When it comes to tobacco, it has moved from permission to prohibition, in many respects. Yet the other lifestyle has been shifted all the way to active promotion. It is encouraged, glorified and given hero status.
But let me cite the article about this: “A museum dedicated to Sydney’s gay and lesbian history is as important as institutions that preserve Jewish history and Australia’s military past, says a leading broadcaster and gay rights activist. ‘I’d compare it to the Australian War Memorial,’ said Julie McCrossin. ‘It would deepen personal relationships and community understanding.’
“Ms McCrossin campaigned for gay rights in the 1970s and said: ‘My memory of that time was you had an illness, it was against God’s will and it was unlawful for men and, by implication, for women.’ She was speaking before the opening on Tuesday of a temporary exhibition charting the history of Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras from its origins in 1978.”
It continues, “The exhibition, in Oxford Street, Darlinghurst, will be opened by the lord mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore, and features a documentary about the mardi gras’s origins as well as photos and parade costumes. The Schwules Museum in Berlin and the GLBT Historical Society Museum in San Francisco are considered the only two permanent gay and lesbian museums in the world.
“David Wilson, a director of Sydney Mardi Gras, leads a committee that is planning the museum and has identified the T2 Building at Taylor Square as a potential site. Cr Moore said she supported the idea of commemorating the history of the gay and lesbian community. ‘The temporary museum being provided by the city during mardi gras will help gauge public support for a permanent museum,’ she said.”
This is utterly mind-boggling stuff. SO OUR BOYS WENT OVERSEAS and shed their blood so we can openly promote and celebrate sodomy? That is why they suffered and died? The total upheaval of all morality and sanity is now complete it seems, at least in places like Sydney.
So what will our ruling elites next dream of? Will all Australians have to salute the rainbow flag each morning, and pledge allegiance to the new religion of homosexualism? Will they have to swear to support this activist agenda to the max, or risk being deported from the country, or rounded up and herded into concentration camps for re-education?
This is exactly where all this seems to be heading. Whenever governments start promoting something by giving special rights to activist groups, then it will demand that everyone else fall in line – or else. If they all do not bow to the new homosexual ideology, there will be consequences.
In fact, this is happening already, as I have documented time and time again here. Anyone who dares to resist the activist agenda of the gaystapo and their state supporters will face the music. And they are; all in the name of tolerance of course.
This museum will claim to be one big celebration of “diversity,” “acceptance” and “tolerance”. Yet this tolerance is all just one-way traffic. All opposition will be dealt with. Indeed, I urge all of you to click on the link below and look carefully at the photos included in the article.
One is especially telling: there we have three homosexual activists laughing and having a good old time as they display a painting of Christian politician Fred Nile. And how is he depicted? His decapitated head is on a platter, displayed much like John the Baptist’s was. And they think this is so funny.
And oh so very tolerant as well. You gotta love how all this acceptance, diversity and tolerance oozes out of these guys. Just imagine if some conservative or Christian painted a similar picture, with the chopped off head of McCrossin, or Bob Brown, or Penny Wong, or Michael Kirby.
All hell would break loose. The MSM would be all over this with front page coverage. Every radio and TV news show would cover this as a lead story. Demands for apologies and immediate destruction of such art would be heard from all quarters.
The Prime Minister would utterly condemn this, as would the Opposition leader. It would be the subject of talk-back radio, current affairs shows, and the blogosphere for days on end. Yet the militant homosexual activists get away with the very same thing, and we don’t hear a peep out of anyone.
Thus I have to cover this here, since hardly anyone else seems interested. Our media and ruling elites are just as despicable and guilty as those doing all this ugly vilification. Indeed, where are all the supporters of vilification legislation when you need them?
Why are they not shouting and jumping up and down about this, urging the artists and the museum operators be taken to court to face charges of inciting to violence, of offensive behaviour, of gross vilification? Oh yeah, I forget: these laws are meant to be all one-way traffic.
These laws only apply to those criticising the homosexual activists. Christians and conservatives are the real target of these laws, while the other side can get away with murder here, and nobody utters a peep or gives a rip.
Welcome to the brave new world of homosexual hegemony and intolerance. We have moved from prohibition to permission to promotion. And we have not yet even begun to see how much worse it will get for all those who will not embrace this social revolution and moral freefall.
Why would anyone read harry its cut and paste?
It will be focused on bum sex and homosexual behavior.
Just what you would expect from a trans sexual commentator obsessed with homo erotica who also lives in a nation of kola fuckers.
One of the big problems we are finding in many Western nations which basically run on two-party systems is that more and more often, the so-called conservative parties are nothing of the sort. Too often they end up being pale imitations of the leftist parties.
Instead of proudly standing on their conservative credentials, they move ever leftward, thinking that this will prove to be more politically viable. But all they are doing is signing their own death warrants. If they simply want to mimic the left, then they should stop pretending they are conservatives, and in fact jump ship and join the lefties.
Indeed, when we get Republicans in the US for example telling us we need to move more to the left, and start embracing things like homosexual marriage, then you know the party is in bad shape. And when they keep offering moderates to run for President, they just keep shooting themselves in the foot – and keep losing.
Things are just as bad in Australia, certainly at the state level. In one state after another where the Liberals have gotten into power, they end up talking, thinking and acting just like the former Labor leaders. When Liberal leaders in Australia do all the idiotic stuff that Labor leaders do, then we really are in bad shape.
An example of the failure of the O’Farrell Coalition government [NSW Conservative]is its seeming determination to press on with the Proud Schools Program in NSW schools.
While ostensibly an anti-bullying program, the real intent of Proud Schools is to further normalise the homosexual lifestyle with school children as the captive audience.
A pilot Proud Schools program was announced with $250,000 funding by then Labor NSW Education Minister Verity Firth in January 2011, just two months before the NSW election. Of course, the Coaltion government that was swept into power in March 2011 should have abandoned Proud Schools immediately if it wasn’t genuinely conservative. But instead, it has allowed the pilot program to continue, largely in secret until the lid was blown off in October 2012 following a successful Freedom of Information application.
I’m pleased to report that there is now considerable back-bench disquiet about Proud Schools and also about the way the matter has been handled (or should I say mishandled) by the current NSW Minister for Education, Adrian Piccoli who, you may be aware, is from the National Party side of the Coalition![rural conservative]
We have the same paradigm here the policy’s of national are more left than the politics of our most successful labor governments
Our failure to continue the neoliberal policy’s of the left dating from the eighties is the biggest stumbling block to New Zealand’s success.
Conservative s are inclined to confuse crony capitalism with free-market ideas
To say that the usa is a free market economy ignores the level of subsidization tax benefit and direct intervention that corporations buy within the conservative frame work.
“…..What do you call it when someone steals someone else’s money secretly? Theft.
What do you call it when someone takes someone else’s money openly by force? Robbery.
What do you call it when a politician takes someone else’s money in taxes and gives it to someone who is more likely to vote for him?
Social Justice……” -Thomas Sowell
That seems to be the case with so many of our politicians today. I am reminded of what Kim Beazley Sr said way back in 1970: “When I joined the Labor Party, it contained the cream of the working class. But as I look about me now all I see are the dregs of the middle class. And what I want to know is when you middle class perverts are going to stop using the Labor Party as a spiritual spitoon.”
When wealthy politicians try to outdo one another about how much they really care about the poor, we usually need to get our baloney detectors out. While some may indeed have some concerns about those who are way less well off than they are, one has to question the sincerity of those who resort to gimmicks and empty rhetoric to make their point.
We saw a classic case of this amongst some of our Federal Politicians this week. The Greens and Labor were going at each other, trying to convince us just how much they really care about the poor and needy. Indeed, it turned into a bit of a slanging match as these folks sought to take the high moral ground here.
Consider how one newspaper covered these recent events: “The Greens have challenged Families Minister Jenny Macklin to live on the dole for a week after she declared she could manage on the $245-a-week unemployment allowance.
These are just gimmicks in the “I’m a rich guy pretending to care about poor people” game. Any wealthy person can play it. We will start to take these guys seriously when they renounce their government pay cheques and benefits for their entire term in office.
Then we might know they are serious and mean what they are saying. But that is not likely to happen. True, there have been a handful of politicians around the world who have knocked back their salaries. But certainly not many. And these two are just a pair of hypocrites who have no intention of learning about real poverty.
Their only game is point scoring and moral one-upmanship. Thus I am not impressed with either. And given that both prefer policies which tend to thwart wealth creation, all their rhetoric is doubly dubious. The Greens especially would bankrupt this nation if they and their policies held sway.
American economist and social commentator Charles Murray called “Capitalism and Virtue: Reaffirming Old Truths”.
In it he spoke about a new social and political elite, those who know very little about what life is like for most people. Although discussing the scene in America, his remarks seem apropos here. He said this: “The other part of the divergence has led to a new upper class that is increasingly segregated from, and ignorant of, life in mainstream America.”
He continued, “And that brings me to the scariest part about the isolation of the new upper class. It’s not a big problem if someone has grown up in a working-class or middle-class family and then become rich and powerful. That person still remembers. He can be put down on the main street in a small town in Kansas or a working-class neighbourhood in Boston and recognise all the social cues, and know how to get along. He’s in familiar territory. What scares me are the children of that person.
“They go to private schools from K-12, spending their summers at tennis camp or in exclusive resorts where their parents vacation. They go to excellent colleges, spending their summers interning at Greenpeace or the Brookings Institution.
“Then they get their law degrees or their MBAs, and move seamlessly into the same upper class bubble as adults that they’ve lived in all their lives. And they haven’t a clue about how ordinary people live. Worse yet, they are likely to have an extremely condescending view of what ordinary people are like.”
And that is when ‘social justice’ [taxation] kills work ethic and it’s benefits, destroying the economy – from grass roots up.
The ultra-wealthy own virtually every major bank and every major corporation on the planet. They use a vast network of secret societies, think tanks and charitable organizations to advance their agendas and to keep their members in line. They control how we view the world through their ownership of the media and their dominance over our education system. They fund the campaigns of most of our politicians and they exert a tremendous amount of influence over international organizations such as the United Nations, the IMF, the World Bank and the WTO. When you step back and take a look at the big picture, there is little doubt about who runs the world. It is just that most people don’t want to admit the truth.
The Greens especially would bankrupt this nation if they and their policies held sway.
So would Liarbore but by comparison to the Gweens their policies look sane which fools the people and the journos are too stupid to recognise it so they’ll never point it out either…
Your problem is that you complain bitterly about activist governments implementing social-engineering plans in pursuit of ‘social justice,’ but then complain equally bitterly when the government doesn’t enforce your own social-engineering ideas, such as discriminatory marriage laws.
In practise you are just as much a statist as those you complain about.
And yes we do currently have discriminatory marrige laws. Fathers cannot marry their daughters and Muslim men can only have one wife here in New Zealand.
Isn’t it wonderful that the homosexual activist bill being put through parliament ,in the name of equality ,will do away with this discrimination………..oh wait……
It was phrased beautifully yesterday by Rex Widerstrom…..
…..”Ah, but free market principles should apply only when a lack of application would mean those same people pay more taxes.
When issues of morality arise, in which there is no cost to intervention – no fiscal cost, anyway – then the cries for the state to regulate quickly reach a clamour.”……
When issues of morality arise, in which there is no cost to intervention – no fiscal cost, anyway – then the cries for the state to regulate quickly reach a clamour.”……
Another one spinning like a top.
We are not asking the “state to regulate”
Indeed no – we are suggesting that the “state NOT to regulate” and change that which we have received from our wiser and more illustrious ancestors from what it is into something that it is not.
Boy you gay marriage proponants are dumb, well that is obvious really, it goes with the territory
You’re engaging in a little nit picking there Andrei. Either way your lot are the greatest proponents of getting the state out of anything & everything…..
…..just until some crap conjured up by a few goat molesters who received their wisdom from burning shrubbery gets challenged.
“Indeed no – we are suggesting that the “state NOT to regulate” and change that which we have received from our wiser and more illustrious ancestors from what it is into something that it is not.”
It is an excellent idea to ask the state “not to regulate”: to get out of the marriage business altogether and not recognise or favour the institution; leaving religious groups to perform their own magical ceremonies as they wish, blessed by Zeus and the rest.
But that’s not what you are arguing for, is it. You are asking for it to enforce your own discriminatory version of marriage. And that’s not allowed.
Ah but for the unfortunate fact that the French didn’t get here first you are alive and stroking the cat. Consider yourself lucky to have survived the heathens and body part eaters.
Interesting meeting with Council planners yesterday..
Planner: “A subdivision RMA Resource consent application (Land use) has been publicly notified and there are 6 submitters in opposition to the development so it will have to go to a hearing”.
Me: “Fine set it down and we will hear it next month”.
Planner: “One of the submitters is a local Marae .. they want the matter heard on their marae”
Me: “No”
Planner: “Ok we will adjourn the meeting and go to the Marae to hear their submissions and then return”
Me: “Why?”
Planner: “Because we are legally obligated to consider Maori cultural needs”
Me: “What about the applicant’s needs? Our user pays policy says that the applicant pays the full cost of the hearing, how much extra cost will this create?”
Planner: “Umm there’s koha, interpreter, logistics, travel and everyone’s extra time .. maybe Several thousand $”.
Me: ” @*!$$#@ ” “Explain to me how creating extra cost for this developer when we are telling them we are working to reduce their costs is justified, and how hearing any part of this matter of the marae will result in better outcomes for them and the community?”
Planner: “Ummm” “It wont but they will kick up a fuss, perform a haka and disrupt the hearing if you dont”.
Me: ” Then bring it on.. they will be out on the footpath, the hearing will only take half the time, and costs will be reduced”.
Planner: “Ummm” “We dont want any unpleasantness.. just be nice and put up with it?”
If you are removing discrimination then you are removing social engineering. Legalising inter-racial marriage was clearly not social-engineering. Quite the reverse.
wat as usual you are wrong. Your example comes from one arena whereas gay marriage comes from another. Race and sex don’t mix in life and they don’t mix in social engineering either.
The race campaign was and is part of the globalisation plan and ultimately the goal is to apply the same social engineering techniques to eliminate nationalist tendencies as we see in the EU. The unrestricted Muslim immigration issue (why do both sides allow it to continue decade after decade?) is one small strand of this campaign, all designed to break national barriers.
The sex plan strikes not at the collective as the race one does but at the individual’s institutional support basis. By allowing gays to use the label (a.k.a. “the brand”) marriage, it changes its definition not tomorrow not even in the next ten years but over several generations. This is because a gay relationship is fundamentally about sex whereas a hetero relationship is fundamentally about procreation.
Idiots now get all excited so for the idiots let me say that this does not mean I’m saying sex is the only thing in the gay relationship, no, there are all the other elements as well, like love and commitment and fidelity everything else. Yes I know that. All I’m pointing out is the FACT (i.e. not my opinion) that a gay relationship is fundamentally about sex. It is. If it’s not fundamentally about that, then what is it fundamentally about?
Also for the excited idiots, I’m also not saying that all hetero relationships are about children. Clearly they’re not. But we’re talking about – der – a collective understanding of a social institution and that transcends any particular instantiation of it, at any given moment in time. Der. And when you look at marriage over that timeline, one sees as another FACT that it’s always been and still is the primary vehicle for human reproduction all over the world.
And this is what the gays are messing with, assisted by literally billions of profoundly useless idiots who have been fooled into thinking it’s about “human wights” because there’s some discwimination, over there, and we know this because the gays (well some of them) tell us so.
That’s what it amounts to. Fuck some people are dumb.
Discrimination can be inserted in front of any law proposed in this country?
Has anyone asked why equal gay sexual rights was never adopted by all of human societies in our history? I mean think about it? We’re not evolved now genetically as opposed to man 5000 years ago, exactly the same genetics then as we have now, there’s no difference. People can quote the “Greeks” and to some extent the “Romans” but it was looked upon as a phase in a mans life. They didn’t go around with their boyfriends and girlfriends in public or show public affection, there were levels of cultural allowance that they did not cross. I don’t know why, we’re not that culturally different other than technologically advanced, so why is it that we are the way we are?
Being gay doesn’t make a person a different breed of human or a different race with it’s own unique genetic markers passed down from mother to daughter.
What would happen if the next 5 generations of kids grew up with the belief that they could change their sexual preference at anytime? What would happen if kids decided to stay gay because they lost any social contact with the opposite sex? How would babies be born? Contracts? Social Engineering/Social Evolution. There might be multiple marriages slated for future antidiscriminator groups, two gay men and two gay women. There might be a new term for these groups, “Legay marriage”

That’s correct Watty……..but unlike the gays, the blacks weren’t asking to change things – just abide by the then current laws and customs of Marriage……one man one women……
A while ago, Iran’s Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali urged the Muslim World to boycott anything and everything that originates with the Jewish people…
In response, Meyer M. Treinkman, a Jewish pharmacist, out of the kindness of his heart, offered to assist them in their boycott as follows:
a) Any Muslim who has Syphilis must not be cured by Salvarsan discovered by a Jew, Dr. Ehrlich. He should not even try to find out whether he has Syphilis, because the Wasserman Test is the discovery of a Jew. If a Muslim suspects that he has Gonorrhea, he must not seek diagnosis, because he will be using the method of a Jew named Neissner.
b) A Muslim who has heart disease must not use Digitalis,a discovery by a Jew, Ludwig Traube. Should he suffer with a toothache, he must not use Novocaine, a discovery of the Jews, Widal and Weil.
c) If a Muslim has Diabetes, he must not use Insulin, the result of research by Minkowsky, a Jew. If one has a headache, he must shun Pyramidon and Antypyrin, due to the Jews, Spiro and Ellege.
d) Muslims with convulsions must put up with them because it was a Jew, Oscar Leibreich, who proposed the use of Chloral Hydrate. Arabs must do likewise with their psychic ailments because Freud, father of psychoanalysis, was a Jew.
e) Should a Muslim child get Diphtheria, he must refrain from the “Schick” reaction which was invented by the Jew, Bella Schick.
f) Muslims should be ready to die in great numbers and must not permit treatment of ear and brain damage, work of Nobel Prize winner, Robert Baram.
g) They should continue to die or remain crippled by Infantile Paralysis because the discoverer of the anti-polio vaccine is a Jew, Jonas Salk.
h) Muslims must refuse to use Streptomycin and continue to die of Tuberculosis because a Jew, Zalman Waxman, invented the wonder drug against this killing disease.
i) Muslim doctors must discard all discoveries and improvements by dermatologist Judas Sehn Benedict, or the lung specialist, Frawnkel, and of many other world renowned Jewish scientists and medical experts.
In short, good and loyal Muslims properly and fittingly should remain afflicted with Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Heart Disease, Headaches, Typhus, Diabetes, Mental Disorders, Polio, Convulsions and Tuberculosis and be proud to obey the Islamic boycott.
You write a lot, yet without managing to address (let alone refute) the essential point, which is that gay marriage should be supported as a matter of individual liberty over collectivism and state-enforced social-engineering.
By all means post your customary spittle-flecked rants and conspiracy theories, but don’t for one minute imagine you have joined the debate.

I’m disappointed wat. I was looking forward to a response from you containing logic one could argue, using facts that exist in the real, actual world, as I gave you. But instead, nothing more than a response that could have issued from the profoundly wise and astute mind of your average ten year old.
Ah well, expectations weren’t high. It must be easy being a useless idiot. Evidently you’re not required to think very deeply at all, in any way.
“….ok, can someone please tell me how I paste a link that’s clickable….”
Ted, I find this easy-
[1]Go to the page you want to link.
[2]Right click the http//www box at the top of the computer screen. [it will then go blue] scroll down to COPY, and left click that.
[3]Then go to kiwiblog and right click in the Leave a Reply box[the one you've just used], scroll down to paste, and left click that. Your link will then appear in the box.
Usually I open another window and then just click between kiwiblog and pages from elsewhere – that way I can cut and paste at pleasure.
Dear Reid and Harriet, I thought I could do this. It works fine copying links into email but not here.
I can paste the link into this ‘Leave a reply’ box but it doesn’t change colour and disappears along with my text when I press submit.
This what I’m trying to enter. I just tried it again and it says I’ve entered it before, but a search says no. so has it been blocked or being considered by DPF?
A while ago, Iran’s Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali urged the Muslim World to boycott anything and everything that originates with the Jewish people…
The implication, here, being that hetero relationships are not about sex. Apparently the procreation is done without it … somehow.
chiz apparently, in biology, when a man and a woman have sex without contraception, children happen. Apparently, when gay sex happens, no children result. Go figure.
I make no judgement on this biological fact, I simply observe it is there, it exists.
Therefore it seems germane to factor it into reality, as in: how things really truly actually in fact, are.
And this FACT being the case leads one inexorably to the obvious conclusion there is in fact, really, and truly, a profound and significant difference in the very basis of gay vs hetero relationships.
This FACT might be inconvenient to some.
This inconvenience doesn’t change the FACT it exists.
Sorry about that, but there we are, aren’t we.
It actually goes much deeper, into the difference between sexual relationships and carnal relationships, but let’s just take one step at a time.
Pity about Abraham
It would be if the current occupants of the State of Israel were in fact the descendants of the Jews from the Old Testament, but they’re not.
So a boycott of their own teachings would be interesting.
The Muslim brotherhood is the political aspect of Islam similar to how Zionism is the political aspect of Judaism or Westminster is the political aspect of Christianity. Religion has always been used as a vehicle of secular control, and Islam is in no way immune to this.
John Ansell appeared on PRIME Sky News at 5.30
From Ansell’s website – Ideally Ryan will include the part where I get stuck into the Constitutional Advisory Panel for haughtily assuming they can change the name of our country, while simultaneously claiming to be seeking the views of the public on such matters.
Not sure that they did include that …
but a further little point of possible interest from Ansell’s website – … words like taonga, which at the time of the Treaty was defined as ‘property procured by the spear’ but now means ‘anything we take a shine to’.
There has been enough rewriting of many things it would interesting if ‘taonga’ is one of them
Islam is a total system.Religion at the core of it,can’t be separated from the political or secular. There is no secular Islam.
The regime occupying Asia Minor is an excellent example.
Turkey will not stand by while Israel attacks Muslim countries…….very secular, not.
Yes it’s that divisive time of year when the media and Maori activists etc stir up all the grievances and problems that we’re meant to pretend don’t exist.
I see Ansell is a racist for wanting a referendum on the constitution!!!!!!
And Key says he’ll walk onto the whatever it is with “whoever they decide will be good enough for me”,trying to appear relaxed and non chalant only to come across as a weak appeaser.
kowtow,
Islam doesn’t work as a political system, that is the role of the brotherhood.
Let there be no compulsion in religion ~ The Quran, Surah 2:256.
Turkish politics are some of the most significant within the context of religion, as Turkey was the home of the first century followers who rejected Christianity as described in the book of Revelation. Google Sibel Edmonds.
ugly old bean, keep trotting out the usual placatory lines from the Koran. Another favourite is Jesus is a prophet of Islam. Some people have actually spent a bit of time on the subject and are aware of mohammed’s life and times and the circumstances of those lines.
Let there be no compulsion in religion and no Christian churches in Saudi Arabia.
An Auckland yuppie moved to the country and bought a
block of land. He went to the local feed and livestock store
and talked to the proprietor about how he was going to take
up chicken farming. He then asked to buy 1000 chicks.
“That’s a lot of chicks,” commented the proprietor.
“I mean business,” the city slicker replied.
A week later the yuppie was back again.
“I need another 1000 chicks,” he said.
“Boy, you sure are serious about this chicken
farming,” the man told him.
“Yeah,” the yuppie replied. “If I can iron out a few
problems.”
“Problems?” asked the proprietor. “Yeah,” replied
our hero, “I think I planted that last batch too close
together.”
kowtow,
Saudi Arabia is Wahabist, i.e. not your typical Muslim country. But don’t let that stop you from ignoring the facts about Turkey.
Islam draws from Judaism for much of it’s judicial code. If you want to condemn such severity without prejudice then you should mention the severity found there and also in Christianity eg “if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away”.
It’s not about dhimmitude, Manolo, it’s about the political roots of religious prejudice. If you had understood what I posted you wouldn’t have assumed that I support the Islamists.
I don’t have much truck for any organised religion but in your 8.0pm you’ve glossed over an essential difference between Islam & Christianity or indeed Judaism. The latter two have dragged themselves into the modern world & made some effort to work around the realities of modern life.
Islam however, is stuck in a time warp (circa 800AD). They have not adapted or moved & head backward societies with primitive values.
What is it with conserves and bestiality?
They seem to bring up marrying species beside humans on a frequent basis.
That and the man sex thing seems to be a overriding obsession for so many Christians.
What the hell do they do in those church things, whatever it is can not be healthy.
Maybe they actually do practice group bum sex with animals.
Of the three major religions.
Joseph Smith and L.Ron Hubbard had the best idea.
Make up there own load of tripe. Preferably one with lots of possible chance to interfere with virgins.
Its actually a good synergy with mainstream religion as the new wave actually like virgins of the opposite sex hence no clash in happy hunting grounds.
Griff, humans are not a species, they are Cicero’s homo humanus, a cultural group (who have a pronounced tendency to think that they are the be-all and end all of mankind). The species is homo sapiens, not homo humanus.
Cicero’s homo humanus
Is not the definition of human except in an ancient philosophy. Time and understanding of both words and ideas changes.
I act too many as the barbarian at the gates, often of Rome in a literal sense…who am I then under Cicero’s philosophy?
It is of the concept good and bad it is only dependent upon the stand you take.
Griff, that philosophy is quite active today. Meaning and use change with time, which leads to ambiguity and confusion.
The irony of Cicero is that the Romans were as barbaric as those that he wanted to disassociate from.
Ethics in Rome was subordinate to political will, the civil system remains and most people just accept it.

What cops?

I’ve seen that in a notice in a shop. I know gummint depts won’t do it but so what.
If the Libyans could oust Gaddafi then New Zealanders can stand up for their country in small ways and embarrass the elite into seeing the Emperor has no clothes.

Probably Minister of Internal Affairs.
Ah yes that one who recently did some dodgy Real estate stuff.
Hon Chris Tremain

He was elected as the Junior Whip for the National Party in 2007 and in 2009 became the senior whip.

Lid blown on power price rort

But do not say you have not been warned.

I forgot to add this to the last post-
American economist and social commentator Charles Murray called “Capitalism and Virtue: Reaffirming Old Truths”.

Idiots now get all excited so for the idiots let me say that this does not mean I’m saying sex is the only thing in the gay relationship, no, there are all the other elements as well, like love and commitment and
fidelityeverything else.
Vote:February 3rd, 2013 at 4:11 pm
Honestly, someone answer impartially why?

The Jewish boycott

It actually goes much deeper, into the difference between sexual relationships and carnal relationships, but let’s just take one step at a time.

ugly old bean, keep trotting out the usual placatory lines from the Koran.

“Yeah,” replied

kowtow,
Saudi Arabia is Wahabist, i.e. not your typical Muslim country.

Dhimmitude will get you nowhere, Ugly. The savages Islamists will cut your throat regardless of your sympathies for them.

It’s not about dhimmitude, Manolo, it’s about the political roots of religious prejudice. If you had understood what I posted you wouldn’t have assumed that I support the Islamists.

Ugly Truth
I don’t have much truck for any organised religion but in your 8.0pm you’ve glossed over an essential difference between Islam & Christianity or indeed Judaism. The latter two have dragged themselves into the modern world & made some effort to work around the realities of modern life.
Islam however, is stuck in a time warp (circa 800AD). They have not adapted or moved & head backward societies with primitive values.
In Islam nothing changes.

Kowtow, excuses for the Pharisees? I don’t think so. Pharisaism is the common ground between the the Vatican and Rabbinical Israel.
Nasska, change as substitution has always been a part of Islam:
None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar ~ Surah 2:106

What is it with conserves and bestiality?
Vote:They seem to bring up marrying species beside humans on a frequent basis.
That and the man sex thing seems to be a overriding obsession for so many Christians.
What the hell do they do in those church things, whatever it is can not be healthy.
Maybe they actually do practice group bum sex with animals.

Of the three major religions.
Vote:Joseph Smith and L.Ron Hubbard had the best idea.
Make up there own load of tripe. Preferably one with lots of possible chance to interfere with virgins.
Its actually a good synergy with mainstream religion as the new wave actually like virgins of the opposite sex hence no clash in happy hunting grounds.
February 3rd, 2013 at 9:33 pm
Griff, humans are not a species, they are Cicero’s homo humanus, a cultural group (who have a pronounced tendency to think that they are the be-all and end all of mankind). The species is homo sapiens, not homo humanus.
Nasska, lol @ the cartoon.

Cicero’s homo humanus
Vote:Is not the definition of human except in an ancient philosophy. Time and understanding of both words and ideas changes.
I act too many as the barbarian at the gates, often of Rome in a literal sense…who am I then under Cicero’s philosophy?
It is of the concept good and bad it is only dependent upon the stand you take.
February 3rd, 2013 at 10:27 pm
Griff, that philosophy is quite active today. Meaning and use change with time, which leads to ambiguity and confusion.
Vote:The irony of Cicero is that the Romans were as barbaric as those that he wanted to disassociate from.
Ethics in Rome was subordinate to political will, the civil system remains and most people just accept it.
