Having to pay people to join the Labour party
February 22nd, 2013 at 3:00 pm by David FarrarYoung Labour are having to bribe people with the chance of a week’s worth of cash, to join the Labour Party.
Oh dear. I didn’t realise things were that bad.
But an interesting contrast considering how often Labour goes on about the evils of gambling and pokie machines and the like – and they use a gambling device as a recruitment device.

interesting that you mention gambling and pokies given that lack of interest you are paying to the damning editorials and newspaper columns about the Sky City convention centre deal.

Let’s all have a bit of a think about the differences between pokies and a one-off sweepstake marketing campaign to encourage sign-ups and see if any of them are relevant to the issue of gambling addiction.
You start, DPF. Can you think of any?

Please don’t take this as an indication that the shameless thieving pricks are down-sizing the quantum of election bribes.

All socialists (Labour and Labour lite) are very adept at bribing people, e.g., WFF, interest-free loans, one week of student allowance, etc.

How shall we help those poor folk signing up to Young Labour over and over again to win a few hundred bucks, while their children go hungry and their bills unpaid?
Who will take them in when they’re evicted from their homes, because all of their money was spent on repeated Young Labour membership fees in the hopes of winning a student allowance for a week?

Seriously dude, WTF??!?
Have you started drinking already DPF? It’s a bit early isn’t it?
Vote:February 22nd, 2013 at 3:24 pm
Bribery. Hypocrisy. And now faux outrage from the usual card carrying lefties trying to deflect from the real issue…. young labour has had to offer a bribe in an effort to increase its membership.
Business as usual from the red corner.

Seriously WHO GIVES A FUCK!!!! If the other bidders were able to match the SkyCity they would come forward now wouldn’t they? Are you prepared for your taxpayer dollars to go towards this when it could be paid for by the private sector? Also can someone please explain how having extra poklie machines is all of a sudden going to create extra gambling addicts? Is there a constant line up of potrential addicts outside SkyCity every day waiting to get a spare pokie machine to plough their money into? This issue has become such a fucking joke and in the mean time they have gone and built one in Australia.

This must be in breach of the Electoral Act, offering financial inducements ( bribe ) to join a political party.

Bribing is Labour/Green’s main policy. You vote for us, and we will keep throwing you a few crumbs, now and again. There supporters just can’t see beyond the farce. Now there bribing the flock to join them. Disgusting.

The most remarkable thing to me about this poster is its resemblance to an old soviet publication. Just missing the hammer and sickle emblem.

Interesting to note the unusual curl on the end of their fern logo. Usually this is an indicator of of a plant under stress.
My diagnosis is nematoad attack.
Nematoads like Mallard, Cosgrove, Horomia, Little and such like.
Fumigation with methyl bromide is the only answer.

Where students have no historical knowledge and vote accordingly
Most students are Greens aren’t they so why does Labour show such desperation?

I think I would call that, – the enthusiam of youth to attempt to change their, and their fellow human’s, situations.
Before they become cynical old wrecked bastards like most of the population here.
Fair enough post DPF but “Labour goes on about the evils of gambling” – yeah you’ve really over-reached your rant-o-meter into the stratosphere there, mate.
