The Privacy (Information Sharing) Bill is seriously flawed – they are proposing to allow government departments – IRD in particular to release and share your personal information. Well fuck that, I only disclose information to IRD on the basis it’s absolutely confidential and till now (to their credit) they have taken that very seriously, but now it will be open slather entirely at the whim of cabinet. FFS are they deliberately trying to undermine confidence in the IRD?
