Did you know Obama has a food taster?

March 26th, 2013 at 7:00 am by David Farrar

Snopes reports that President Obama (and other Presidents) have a food taster.

It seems that even on Capitol Hill, he can’t eat food without a taster checking it out first. During a lunch with Senate Republicans he couldn’t eat lunch as his taster was not present.

I guess I can understand the use of a taster when say travelling overseas. But it seems silly to require one at things like a private lunch with Senators.

Why? To ensure that someone doesn’t poison him?

Surely you would just use a poison that didn’t take effect for an hour or so.

Or is it to make sure his food isn’t to unhealthy ;)

This raises a lot more questions than answers. Does the food taster need special skills? It would seem so otherwise he could just have the nearest secret service guy do it. And what about slow-acting poisons as CJPhoto said? If they are really worried about this sort of thing it seems a lot safer and easier for him to take his own chef everywhere instead of a food taster.

But as DPF says, to refuse to eat food that is being eaten by senators is ridiculous and opens him up for criticism about his high opinion of himself.

@Kowtow – as opposed to the alternative who was prepared to write off over 40% of the population? How are any of them honestly any different? Exactly what change is he supposed to bring when (because of ideals) people do everything that they can to ensure that he is unable to get anything tangible done? The same happened with Bush when he lost the Senate.

The protection that comes with being president is applied to ALL presidents regardless of their political affiliations. Painting this post as some kind of hit piece of the sense of entitlement the left feel is pathetic. But the rabid right readers lap this shit up. I’m positive if I bothered to read the standard or any other left wing blog I’d find the same, I suppose I just hoped things would be a bit more balanced on this side – it disappoints me to discover otherwise.

Mike, there’s good reason for Americans to be afraid, it doesn’t make them paranoid. The left-right puppet show just keeps people distracted from the real issues. In Obama’s case those issues are the fake documentation supporting his eligibility, and his connection to old-school American fascism in the context of his hope and change patter.

    a) for his first 2 years, Obama was struggling to get anything done even though he controlled both houses of congress and
    b) there are plenty of reports to suggest that his attitude towards the Republicians was dismissive at best when he had proclaimed that he would usher in a new “post-partisan” era.
    c) There are a number of things which he had the power directly to change and he has actually gone the other way – case in point, drone strikes.
    d) he didn’t promise “change so long as everyone cooperates”. He promised change. Peroid.
    e) Bush passed some of his most fameous legislation with a Democrat controlled senate – case in point, the “no child left behind”.

This is actually just a manifestation of the kind of theatrical excess that Americans just can’t resist. And a complete waste of time – as others have pointed out – with sophisticated poisons that might take 24 hours to do their dastardly business.
Not entirely off point, it’s like their executions. What the Brits took literally 20 seconds to do (rent the movie ‘Pierrepoint’ sometime) the yanks spin out for more than half an hour, with reading of death warrants, last words, and everything done with witnesses peering through a window at both the prisoner and “the phone” which the Governor might ring at the last moment.

Can you imagine Churchill or Margaret Thatcher refusing to tackle the Dover sole because the taster wasn’t there?

Yup, I commented in GD about this on 16th March –

WASHINGTON — Following President Obama’s lunch meeting with Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill, Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins described the food served and said the president was not able to eat since his “taster” was not present.

“Unfortunately, you know, the president can’t,” said Collins when asked if Obama ate at the lunch meeting.

“He looked longingly at it,” Collins continued. “He honestly did look longingly at it, but apparently he has to have essentially a taster, and I pointed out to him that we were all tasters for him, that if the food had been poisoned all of us would have keeled over so, but he did look longingly at it and he remarked that we have far better food than the Democrats do, and I said that was because I was hosting.”

According to a 2009 AFP report, the U.S. Secret Service has “always refused to confirm that US presidents travel with a food ‘taster’, in line with their policy of discretion on all security related issues.”

Obama himself said on numerous occasions he was born in Kenya . He should not be President.

The purpose of the US Constitution’s Natural Born Citizen clause is to guarantee complete and undivided loyalty to the United States.

Obama was born outside the US and he was raised outside the US and he is not loyal to the US and this has massive effect on American policy, foreign and within.

That he has said he was born outside the US doesn’t follow from the fact he has said he was. Clearly, one time he was lying. Given the higher stakes are on the second lie, and the investigation that’s gone on, clearly the lie was when he said he was born outside the US.

“clearly the lie was when he said he was born outside the US.”

Of course, just keep drinking the kool ade.

The funny thing is it now becomes a question as it was with Richard Nixon, as to whether the crime is the issue or whether the cover up is the issue.

Nixon was hounded from office by a vigilant media who proved he had lied.

Today, with the media utterly corrupted by left wingers sitting in control, they try and cover up the President’s lies.

While the media scrambles to Alaska to go dumpster diving in Sarah Palin’s street, or zealously makes fake documents relating to George Bush’s armed service record, they fail to be the least curious about any of the records that might shine some light on Obama’s shady past.

Many of his records remain sealed, especially those that might show evidence of Obama being a citizen of Indonesia, and the treasonist media has never asked why.

The President’s Birth certificate was produced for a second time, after the lies supporting the first one finally became too hard to sustain, and this second certificate has been adjudged by Official Law Enforcement Officers to be counterfeit.

He is also using a Social Security number that was originally issued to another person.

So we have the President of The USA remaining in office by means of fraud and the politically corrupt media, unlike when the President was a Republican, could not give a damn.

Some claim that Obama’s objective is to bankrupt the USA and destroy its armed forces.

It is notable that if there was ever anyone who wanted to do such a thing, it would most likely not be someone who met the Natural Born Citizen requirements of the Constitution, but more likely a foreign usurper of the President’s office.

“Redbaiter, the birth notice in the Hawaii newspaper in the week of his birth is an inconvenient detail for the birthers to ignore. If it was a conspiracy that kid was precocious.”

Are you really that dim you think that is the deal breaker?

Five minutes on Google and you can find a dozen different explanations for that laughable avoidance. For example-

that it was part of the scheme not to prepare Obama for the presidency but simply to allow him to be registered as a US citizen, or

the advertisements were entered automatically immediately a birth was registered on paper, which his mother could easily have done by mail even if she did have the baby in Kenya, or

the grandparents did the registration, or

there is no actual real sample of the newspaper in question and the microfiche that contains the records shows obvious signs of tampering, IOW there was never any such advertisements anyway.

Then there are issues such as the missing BC of the dead baby Virginia, and that the number on Obama’s fake certificate matches the number on the cert that was issued to Virginia,

or the fact that airline company records for the week that his mother is suspected to have flown in with the baby are mysteriously the only week that is missing of all of the records,

or other records that do exist and specify that a nameless mother with a young baby did fly into Hawaii during the week in question

The ads are not any kind of meaningful point, but that you think they are shows me your knowledge on this issue (no doubt mainstream media sourced) is so superficial you’re not worth any further discussion.
