Just yesterday made the immortal line on television that “John Key is just talking out of his mouth” and today Grant is already leader!

I’m willing to sacrifice Labour’s generous bribe, I mean offer in favour of actually having electricity on when I need it.

Was this a freudian slip or was it Fran Mold’s ‘parting gift’ to her employer? :D

If Grant really is serious about making a bid for the leadership, he’d be well advised to replace his press secretary with someone who actually knows how to spell his surname first….

Still no coherent response , from the uptighties, just bwwwa na na .

18 months of hysteria, (that’ll work) before being unceremoniously dumped.

‘ Love it , pass the (govt issued ) popcorn.

    Lets get serious now.

Labour’s $230 per year is dismally low compared to their bribes of the past.

    They should try harder.

@David Garrett: Fran was apparently Shearer’s ‘Press Secretary’ (that worked, didn’t it?) but apparently she resigned on Friday so she can move to Auckland with her partner.

She’ll probably end up in another left wing flunkie job – perhaps with Len’s team of propagandists. Indeed, the Auckland Council seems to be a gathering place for uber left media hacks. She’d fit in well. :D

If the government were to take some of that ~$2 billion that they are expecting to pocket from the sale of mighty river and use it to build a 1GW coal fired power station (southland easiest) Then they could reduce the cost of electricity throughout new zealand by bringing down the wholesale rate while also making a nice profit off of the $0.05/unit power it would produce.

Given that the CAGW scare is entering terminal decline (media are starting to desert the cause, and most of the electorate already has) coal is our cheapest long-term option for additional generation as it does not require expensive oil/gas exploration or importation of fuel (which next best option of nuclear would).
