Sex ed in New Zealand ‘seriously flawed,’ dangerous: report

“The anus is an exit, not an entrance. This is not the Bible; this is science. Unlike the vagina, nature put a tight sphincter at the entrance of the anus. It’s there for a reason: keep out!” 😎 😎

Instead of Warnings, Risky Behaviours are Promoted. The mission of curious.org.nz is “to support the queer and trans youth of
Aotearoa and New Zealand.”
One would therefore expect the site to be packed with health alerts for those vulnerable groups, but it has not a single warning. Young people who turn to this site for guidance remain ignorant of hazardous behaviours that endanger their lives.
Instead, Curious.org.nz promotes social events such as “Get it On! Big Gay Out” sponsored by getiton.org.nz.
Similarly, rainbowyouth.org.nz, which runs curious.org.nz, does not list any medical data or warnings for youth who identify as MSM or MSM/W. The organisation’s site has a page called “Keeping Safe”,92 but the content is not related to health. It’s a guide to meeting other members of the ‘queer’ community, and includes a list of support groups, including one for minors. The page provides valid recommendations for making new contacts, including suggestions to meet during the day in a public place, tell someone where you are going, make sure you have a way to get home, and so on. While this information may help young people feel lessisolated, it also likely facilitates sexual encounters that place their lives at risk.

“…..Grossman points out that even though every young person may not postpone sex “we are still obligated to inform them of the grave risks they face, to teach them biological truths about their physical and emotional vulnerabilities, to warn them in a no-nonsense manner about avoiding high risk behaviours, and to encourage the highest standard.”

The report has been labelled, in part, ‘homophobic’ by Shaun Robinson, executive director of the Aids Foundation who says his organization “encourages behaviour change – celebrating condoms as a normalised part of sex.”

But the Sexuality Education in New Zealand Report concludes:

“Adolescents look to adults for authoritative guidance. It is our responsibility to do precisely that –guide them with authority, firm rules and high expectations. That is not accomplished by telling them ‘only you know when you’re ready’. When we provide that message, we fail young people. When we teach them to rely on latex, we fail again.”

John Drinnan is one of the few Herald writers who is worth a pinch of goat shit.

I reckon he would be offended by his comparison with a raving ranting commie/ Progressive like Robertson, who is definitely worth far less than a pinch of goat shit.
