Whilst in this case the foot appears to be tucked up, I’m surprised with the number of seabirds I see that have a partial foot / a missing foot / a deformed foot. Clearly there are some toothy critters in the water that have a liking for a snack every now and then….
No surprises someone is incapable of appreciating the skills, the nuances and subtleties of photography…. after all, it takes an IQ north of single digits to understand the effort behind wildlife (and birdlife) photography.
It must be real sad at their place – waking up in the morning / cursing they haven’t won Lotto / kicking the dog / yelling at the missus / arguing with the sad sack face staring back from the mirror / launching into petulant abuse at everyone on KB who doesn’t subscribe to their jaundiced outlook on life. Yup…. it appears some help is required….
If the sad sack wishes to post their street address, I’ll happily send them 50c – they can then ring up someone who gives a shit what they think.
@Red: I actually appreciate Chthoniid’s work. I wouldn’t know him if he walked in here and sat in front of me but I like his pikkies.
I haven’t met you either, but I suspect you’re a sad, pathetic old fart who spends all day pushing doors marked ‘PULL’ without being able to work out why you’re still at square one. Your boorish attempts to denigrate people and belittle the efforts of others, is something I’d half expect from a bad mannered 8 year old rather than someone who is supposed to be an educated adult.
So buck your ideas up – if you don’t like these threads, then just ignore them.
The evidence says otherwise. For one example, you’d have had nothing to moan about yourself if I hadn’t posted my simple three line criticism. Since then you’ve posted about 500 words attacking me. It would seem much more as if you are the one who so badly needs something or someone to endlessly bitch about.

Well, they’re basically up because people have asked for this to be a regular feature of KB I like getting to the end of the week, and get a short respite from the usual KB topics. There are a lot of people who do like the natural world NZ has to offer. It’s not ubiquitous, but, I appreciate being able to connect to that sentiment once a week.
