Friday Photo: 16 August

August 16th, 2013 at 8:52 am by Chthoniid

While NZ actually has a dearth of species, other parts of the world have a much richer fauna.  The region of Yunnan is one of them.  The region here borders Laos and includes an extensive area of tropical forest.  Needless to say, I got a few pics out there.

    Great pikkie, Chthoniid. :)

Do you know if the butterflies in Laos have a similar (short) lifespan to those here in NZ? I heard somewhere that a NZ Monarch butterfly only lives for around 4 weeks! Is that true?
