Ram v motorcycle

Someone give that ram a Tui!

The Herald reports:

A Nelson trailbike rider has become an internet sensation after posting a video showing him being attacked by an angry ram.

Marty Todd’s YouTube video, in which the surly ram known as Rambro prevents him from riding up a dirt track, has gone viral after being featured on CNN and Britain’s Daily Mail website.

“I was riding my trailbike up a hill when I came across this grumpy old ram with huge horns,” Mr Todd said. “It charged my bike then started attacking me, [he's a] surprisingly powerful animal.”

Mr Todd said he couldn’t turn his trailbike around as he was on a steep hill and if he did the ram would have charged him side-on, which could have broken his leg

“This guy is known for his aggression and attacks for no reason, he’s even attacked a group of pig-hunting dogs. In the end I had to pick up a branch and wave it in front of him, he didn’t like the noise and backed off enough for me to make my escape.”

Maybe he needs to ride with a shotgun!

Eighty odd kilo of mutton with a bad attitude needs careful handling. :)

    Haha. Classic.
Reminds me of the time my mother in law came to stay. We were ram sitting a friends pet cryptorchid (a ram with one ball left in to enhance growth, have all ram characteristics but unable to breed) and my MiL came to stay. Going out to the vege garden the ram attacked her and she only just made it to the fenced garden and shut the gate. Her heart was racing bigtime by then and having not long before had a valve replacement, she sat down to rest and leaned against the fence. Unfortunately there was an electric lead out wire on that fence…..say no more!
The only positive I could come up with was that she never liked me anyway so nothing lost although I think it might have done her heart some good!

I would have grabbed both horns and discussed his ass out of there.

A cryporchid is a male that has its testes raised into the inguinel canal exit by removal of the scrotum at an early age, to inhibit masculine fertility development while allowing the male hormones to remain to enhance muscle development and retain fast maturing of the carcase.
The case quoted above was probably a poorly performed operation allowing the one testicle to develop.

It is accomplished by placing a rubber ring on an empty scrotum.

The meat on older cryptorchids still eventually exhibits the male flavour and odours of an entire male sheep and often “lamb shanks” from ‘crypts’ are too strong for this aficionado of sheepmeat.

Btw I am not wanting to seem pedantic just accurate.

With you on the Ugg boots Northern Wahine but a feral ram living on a forestry block would require the same culinary skills as those needed to deal with a pukeho. :)

The crypto was done correctly. In my sheep farming days I did thousands just as you described although I had not done this particular one.

I’ve eaten in shearers’ quarters, I understand your point.

GD we used to do that to ram lambs destined for live export when we tailed the ewe lambs that would be fattened for the works.

Lead pill injected at high velocity through it’s forehead would have sorted the problem!

Northland Wahine, this is what all kiwi males were like before feminism cut their balls off and turned them into compliant sheep :)

Came across a feisty ram many years ago when out hunting. The bloody thing would confront me, then when I kept advancing, it would run ahead up the track and startled a deer.
The next time it confronted me, a soft-nosed .303 cured its agro problem.

Hilarious! The only way it could have been better would be if the ram had pissed on his bike.
