Coincidence? – Len Brown restructures his Mayoral Office

A restructure of Len Brown’s Mayoral office was announced internally yesterday. The key change is the redundancy of a long-term political adviser to Brown.

The timing is very interesting. Could they be worried about where the trail of the text messages may lead? Is this another scalp for Whale Oil?

Otherwise why else would you be dropping the guy who is generally regarded as one of the best political operators out there? And why would you make that decision in the middle of managing a crisis?
