So a misguided gay nineteen-year-old intends to conduct an artwork, in which members of the public watch him lose his virginity to another man in a performance ‘exhibition.’ Literally, “exhibitionism.”
Not helpful to the new Utopian gay political cause and reinforcing all the stereotypes opponents articulate, much?
Time to release greenbelt land, invest in linking it to central London, and allowing new high density construction. At scale, high quality 100 square meter apartments can be built for £50,000 a pop. There is enough demand for several million – government must allow construction to meet the needs of British people.
(The vampire vote must be conquered. Etonians must be burnt. We need a little bit more market freedom here and less rent-seeking from influential landed interests.)
Police claim the labour (Nat’s actually) weekend road death number low, is “due to Police tactics”.
Absolute bullshit, but the stupid media always assign dummies , and they never inquire about supporting data..
Apart from the sad misfortune for the person and family killed, the only relevant issue is the number of injury accidents.
The death of one in any one accident could have been three, four, or five, with the total up or down. It is, and always has been, a matter of chance. Police tactics, breath/alcohol and speed limits, have little or no discernible bearing.
This was established by extensive MOT (before all the name change and responsibility BS) research more than 30 years ago…and LTA updates have confirmed that. Of course admitting that would debunk much of the crap Police and LTA feed us, day by day.
Sir Bob, a former president of the Labour Party, said he agreed with Mr Lee that the figure might offend some people. Even though it was an honest account of the wharf’s history, he had requested that it be removed today.
So honesty now counts for nothing ? But I should know that looking at the mayor the wet brains elected here.
The average earnings of movies with very strong Christian, redemptive content or worldviews have grown from only $21.14 million per movie in 1995 to more than $90.78 million in 2012. And, that only represents what such movies earned in the United States and Canada. It doesn’t include what they earned overseas or on home video.
These numbers don’t lie. Neither do the ratings numbers for such faith and family friendly television programs as The History Channel’s recent Bible miniseries, or A&E’s popular Duck Dynasty program. Last spring, The Bible miniseries was viewed by more than 100 million people overall.
Clearly, something is happening.
For more than 21 years, Movieguide has been showing Hollywood executives, producers, writers, and directors — at its Annual Faith & Values Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry — that family-friendly movies with strong Christian, redemptive content earn three to seven times as much money as movies with strong Non-Christian, or even Anti-Christian content, with explicit sex, nudity, gory violence, substance abuse, and other immoral content. Movieguide has begun the Epiphany Prizes for Inspiring Movies & TV Programs with strong Christian, redemptive content
“Of course,” Dr. Baehr said, “it’s one thing to watch a program for free in the comfort of your living room. It’s a different activity altogether to get up off your couch and take your family to a movie theater, where you have to shell out money not only for tickets but also for goodies at the concession counter.
“That’s why movie ticket sales, and DVD sales figures, are a much better predictor of the values the general public holds closest to their hearts.”
In an era where many feel our popular culture is promoting nothing but decadence, the ongoing turnaround in Hollywood has GONE LARGLY UNNOTICED by many of its critics. While much more remains to be done, the message that audiences support positive values at the box office is being heard.
“…..So a misguided gay nineteen-year-old intends to conduct an artwork, in which members of the public watch him lose his virginity to another man in a performance ‘exhibition.’ Literally, “exhibitionism.”….”
‘misguided’? More like a victim.
Being sodomised is not a work of art. It’s not anything.
It’s a bit like what a young scholar from the San Francisco Arts Institute by the name of Jonathan Yegge did a few years back. Here are some of the “highlights” from his “performance”.
He was tied up. He had a blindfold and a gag, but he could see and talk through it. He had freedom of movement of his pelvis,” Yegge says, by way of defending his piece. “I engaged in oral sex with him and he engaged in oral sex with me. I had given him an enema, and I had taken a sh*t and stuffed it in his ass. That goes on, he sh*ts all over me, I sh*t in him. There was a security guard present. There was an instructor from the school present. It was videoed, and the piece was over.”
cameltoe – I did have my eye on a witch’s wig of long hair. It’s become a small tradition to run on ‘halloween’. Maybe I should dress up for it this year?
I always see the same sad solitary blank-faced Island family wandering the streets trick or treating with that characteristically casual excruciating lack of pace and urgency that makes it hard to know with any certainty if in fact they are doing a very good moonwalk on the spot or not.
I wonder if I’ll see them again this year? Probably not – I’d have to time my run to coincide with all of these US try-hards.
I think it’s been years since anyone came to the door for Halloween. I’ll be ready to answer the door in nothing but some small underdaks and sunglasses.
Yesterday a long time National supporter was a little peeved at the prospect of a coalition with the Conservative party. The Conservatives are growing in popularity as they attract disillusioned National voters and ACT and UF, two parties who appear to be on their last legs at last.
The National voter, who apparently had no like problems with National’s alliance with the Racist Party or ex Labour Peter Dunne, said-
If however, the Conservatives look like being in a position to force their warped, religious/moralistic garbage on the rest of us I’ll back the Greens. I’ll never willingly see my grandchildren living under the religious Taliban these control freaks wish to create.
Leaving aside the issue of what role this insane bigotry may have played in the upbring of his children and grandchildren, is this really the kind of hate and intolerance that the National Party needs?
If this bigotry identifies your average National party supporter these days then the party is spiritually and ideologically a lot further left and lost than I had previously believed. More evidence that its needs a clean out if it is to return to its original principles and again stand for something as a political force.
“Among the present caucus of 34 Labour MPs, four are known to be gay: Grant Robertson, Maryan Street, Louisa Wall, and Meka Whaitiri.”
That makes almost 12% of the known homosexuals. I would bet there would be a few in the closet. Even, if they are not any still in the closet homosexuals are overrepresented which means heterosexuals are underrepresented.
“During the competition for Miss World, Young stressed her desire to stand by her “core values” and lead others toward social unity. Her integrity and willingness to stand by her beliefs attracted the judges’ attention. Although she was not as tall as many other contestants (Young is 5’7’’), she came out on top by (in her words), “thinking tall.” We all need to think tall. By speaking our minds with calm confidence, we can influence others in a positive way, just like Young.”
Don’t ever be cowed by the endless loud squawking of the Progressives. Their constant attempts to mock and ridicule are more embarrassingly ineffective everyday. They look weaker and their influence is rapidly waning. They’re unfashionable. The Progs are going down and they know it.
Predictions of either a crash-up in the equity markets or a massive haircut of bank depositors are incorrect. A power transition model developed in the Department of Defense outperforms intelligence analysts hands down and is now predicting rule of law in the international financial system. This is after I and other World Bank whistleblowers testified in the European Union and UK Parliaments about corruption in the Bretton Woods institutions and the rest of the international financial system. According to the power transition model, the United States must continue to ally itself with the EU and try to include Russia into the coalition. Unilateral action by the United States, whether in Iraq, Syria, or unwelcome surveillance of its allies, undermines the Western Alliance and accelerates the Asian challenge. Read footnotes 7,8 and 10 of this article to see why the US Treasury is going to issue asset-backed US dollars instead of fractional reserve fiat Fed notes. http://www.larsschall.com/2013/05/08/governance-issues-at-the-world-bank-a-security-risk-to-the-world-order/ The model started predicting this when Elizabeth Colville (a Scottish whistleblower) and I published our comments in House of Commons Public Administration Committee, Written Evidence for the inquiry into Complaints Do They Make A Difference, on July 20, 2013, pages 186-7 (Elaine Colville, another World Bank Whistleblower’s testimony is on Page 178) available here http://www.parliament.uk/documents/commons-committees/public-administration/Complaints%20Consolidated%2024%20July.pdf
L.S.: But isn’t the whole thing related to the financial crisis and the fact that those people who’ve committed crimes are not punished for their crimes – isn’t that an clear indication to the contrary?
K.H.: Yes, but just wait until we finish doing what we need to do, because when I talk about taking back the World Bank for the rule of law, we’re talking about the beginning of a different approach. International law was developed by Hugo Grotius, a Dutch lawyer, famous for his escape in a trunk from the castle of Loevestein in 1621 where he was imprisoned by the Calvinists. Grotius believed in freedom of the seas and combined ethics, politics and law.
He said: “It is fitting that those who have the leading place in an alliance should arrogate to themselves no privilege in relation to their own interests, but should make themselves conspicuous above the others through their careful management of the common interests.”(4)
Now here’s where it becomes really interesting. Bond holders are entitled to accurate financial statements from the World Bank under securities laws in every single jurisdiction where the bonds are held. The World Bank has issued $135 billion in bonds denominated in the world’s currencies; anyone who holds a World Bank bond can hold the World Bank accountable. And this means that anyone inside that organization with financial information has got the right to make sure that is correctly represented in the World Bank’s financials. If there’s an inaccuracy in the financial information, the correction must take place, and any person who reveals that inaccuracy must be protected and not retaliated against. This is now a requirement in the appropriations legislation for the US contribution to the World Bank capital increase. (5) If you buy a World Bank bond (and I did so), you are empowered to fight for international law as an individual.
So, we now have a mechanism for requiring transparency. Does every government want transparency? Of course not, that’s why it has taken me fifteen years so far. But that’s where we are now, with governments accountable to their people in a way that they weren’t before.
This will be why John Key is in a rush to sign the TPP which has little to do with trade and much more to do with state surveillance. Only four chapters in the entire document realtes to trade. After the TPP is signed Key does not care if he is re-elected.
Heart-wrenching, horrible story, sure…. and I’m typing this on GD and not ‘the thread’….
I’m trying to make head or tail of it….
(1) The second group of four climbers became separated. Key event. The other two climbers from the second party of four are alive.
(2) The climbers are from a climber’s club. What was their take on the weather forecast?
(3) Being experienced and respected in the climbing community, does that mean that (i) they did well to survive as long as they did; or (ii) you’d expect better decisions, planning and organisation. And you’d expect them to make it down.
(4) Nicole Sutton was hanging onto life and indeed alive when located. Had the climber been rescued even an hour earlier or more, could she have survived?
Nicole Sutton was known to be alive. They knew she was there alive and waiting, hoping to end her ordeal and live to see her family. She was hanging on for dear life. She was alive when they finally arrived.
Could she have been reached any sooner by the rescue team? Would that have increased the climber’s chances for survival in any case?
I’m a business owner (and just read that article) and concur with your comments. I often wonder about the mentality of our judges and this ruling underscores my beliefs. What planet are these people on? This type of judicial idiocy makes me think about closing my doors, laying off my staff and walking away. This could very easily happen in my business and a similar judgement against me, would send me under.
The 60 Minutes report that screened Sunday night in the U.S about the Benghazi attack.
The attack was planned and sophisticated. The U.S was warned it was coming but did nothing.
When it happened they didn’t send help, lied that it came from a protest because of a youtube video (for a whole week).
And they’re still not being held to account for it.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy.’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”
Is anyone else having a problem clicking on links in Kiwiblog from the main page? I can’t seem to click the title links to get into the main posts. Tried another browser as well. I got here by going to my browser history.
Yeah, saw that report on t-a-c. I’m glad it’s finally coming out in a proper report instead of snippets from Fox News, and other investigative reports.
Question though. Since Benghazi has been discussed ad infinitum since around a month after it happened on the alternative news sites and there are hundreds if not thousands of articles on it covering all kinds of facets, how come it’s only when a superficial MSM propaganda network picks it up that some people start thinking there might be something in it?
And ask yourself, since this is the very same MSM that lies and obfuscates all the time on such issues as WMD in Iraq and 911, then why, pray tell, are they only broadcasting this now?
‘…Question though. Exactly the same thing happened with Gosnell the abortionist – it was the likes of Mark Steyn who bagged out the MSM which then got the MSM to cover it. But that never involved Obama and his friends, so the MSM went with it.
Bengazi is a matter that involves guilty Hillary -the next Democrat Presidental nominee- untouchable by the MSM!
Wow, the exact same thing happened thirty years ago and 241 died.
Unknown to us at the time, the National Security Agency had made a diplomatic communications intercept on 26 September (the same date as the cease-fire ending the September War) in which the Iranian Intelligence Service provided explicit instructions to the Iranian ambassador in Damascus (a known terrorist) to attack the Marines at Beirut International Airport. The suicide attackers struck us 28 days later, with word of the intercept stuck in the intelligence pipeline until days after the attack.
I’ve been accused of many things online but being lumped in with John Key, DPF, Whale Oil and Lucia Maria…
…are to trade unionists what the SA brownshirts were to the Jews in 1930′s Germany, common thugs who see those who belong to a trade unions (along with homosexuals) as vermin to be exterminated in a Final Solution.
…is one of the strangest, even if it’s from a unionist who manages to get banned at The Standard for promoting violence. Like a ‘Brownshirt’?
The Obama Admin now sending feds into the houses of reporters on the flimsiest of excuses (in this case, because the reporter’s husband had bought a potato gun?) and stealing their personal files.
A conservative reporter alleges that in a pre-dawn raid, the Feds took her files while searching her home for a toy potato gun. Audrey Hudson, Washington correspondent for the Colorado Observer, thinks the government may have an ulterior motive for conducting the search.
In her first television interview, Hudson told Gretchen Carlson on that the raid stems from her husband purchasing a potato launcher online five years ago. The search warrant presented said they came to recover the gun.
However, she said, “Once they were in the house, the first thing that the Homeland Security officer asked me was ‘Are you the same Audrey Hudson who wrote all of the Federal Air Marshal stories for The Washington Times?’”
Hudson claims she was targeted for stories that were critical of the agency and revealed that they lied to Congress. She said she didn’t realize they had taken her confidential files until a month later when she received a phone call telling her to pick them up.
When Hudson questioned why the government had the Federal Air Marshal files, she was told they needed to run them by the TSA to make sure it was legitimate for her to have them. “They came into my house, they stole my notes, they’ve exposed my sources.”
The Americans truly have fallen a long way in a short time by putting up with this totalitarian shit. But it’s going to be extremely hard to stop the rot now – it seems a critical mass of sheeples has been reached.
The Marxists are only interested when it’s white people doing the persecuting. If you’re not criticising Western Culture, save your breath comrade.
Manolo, Obamacare is doomed regardless of the political sides, because it is and will be mired in brain-numbing bureacracy. The online registering is just the start. It will be strangled at birth because business and the people, don’t really support it. More poeple support legalising marijuana than Obama’s health vision.
Jihad in China? Watch how the CHinese deal with dissent and difference. Islamists will never get a hold in that country/
I really do have get myself a pair – any volunteers?.
“If you want to make your own necropants (literally; nábrók) you have to get permission from a living man to use his skin after his dead [sic],” the instructions read. According to the museum’s guidelines, after a man has been buried, you have to dig him up and flay the skin of his corpse “in one piece from the waist down.”
Then, you have to steal a coin from his widow and place it inside the scrotum along with a “magical sign” scribbled on a piece of paper. And if you wanted to keep the magical power of the pants profitable, you would have to pass the pants along to a worthy heir.
Maori police were deliberately excluded from knowing anything about Operation 8 until after the termination phase; that is the armed paramilitary operation on 15th October 2007. Superintendent Wallace Haumaha who until 2007 was the National Strategic Maori Advisor, and is now the General Manager Maori, Ethnic and Pacific Services, was deliberately excluded. His network of Police iwi liaison officers was also deliberately excluded.
Te Putatara understands from sources close to the NZ Police that Commissioner Broad himself approved the decision to exclude Superintendent Haumaha and his teams. The sources also report that Haumaha later strongly objected to his exclusion and demanded and received an apology from Broad.
