I didn’t claim that. Redbaiter has always been interesting.

I copy/pasted from three places – from yesterdy’s GD, from TrueBlueNZ and from a post I did last year – as stated in this morning’s post. I collated Red’s ‘hanging’ comments because he started to deny – I said then:

He went through a period of being obsessed with hanging anyone he found disagreeable from lamp posts, and now tends to deny that, so here is a collection to remind.

I don’t have any copy/paste folder, I use blog posts to record some things but otherwise it’s all out there.

It’s often been suggested that Red must have a large database of quotes to draw on, but you’d have to ask him to confirm.

The vast majority of the insured in the working age population get insurance through their job. This means that if they get an illness that causes them to lose their job they are likely to soon also find themselves without insurance. They will then be forced to buy insurance in the individual market where premiums can be tens of thousands of dollars a year, since they would be applying with a pre-existing condition.

Obamacare ends this situation. Insurers can no longer discriminate based on pre-existing conditions. This means that most people will be able to find affordable policies in the exchanges. (The Kaiser Foundation has a useful calculator that allows people to get an estimate of the prices they would see.)

In addition to providing security, millions of people who are working at jobs that they hate will no longer feel the need to stay there in order to get insurance. That is a big deal. In fact it’s a bigger deal than almost any other piece of legislation that Congress has passed in the last three decades.

That is what we stand to gain if the ACA can survive the hysteria that is now consuming Washington. If we look for the substance in the hysteria, it doesn’t come close in significance.

All your citations indicate that genetics plays a role in intelligence. Where do you think I rejected this premise? What I said was there is no evidence that it accounts for racial disparity. So you are a devotee of Joseph Graves, Weihana.

Graves doesn’t explain why population groups do not have equal IQs.

I don’t know if Phillipe Rushton is more right than wrong. He argues that there are racially ordained behaviours, but I’m not comfortable with the concept of “race”. Both sides of the debate see the political aspects of the opponents’ positions. That’s about the only common ground.

We have a chance to measure in NZ which side is more correct. Migrant families from Asia are known for their respect for education and their encouragement of their children to study. Is inherited intelligence also a factor in the kids’ scholastic success?

What about a measurement now, and again in 60 years or more when these families are third generation or more NZer, presumably with less environmental differences on performance?

Weihana, you will probably argue there are legacy cultural effects and these skew any measurement. However, there may or may not be differences in scholastic performance of ethnic Asians now, and then.

I was with a group of parliamentary staff several nights ago having a social hour. Not fully involved in the conversations.. Just on the edge taking in tit bits of info. The Silent T is not popular even amongst his team. No one knows who the real one is as he has many faces. One thing stood out. …. he is a smug smart arse who had better lift his game as Grant is waiting and watching. Mickey Savages name was also mentioned. They think he is pretender who is hanging onto the silent Ts coat tails and has a certain swagger now that he mixes with Cunners group.

For the first few days, the uncle shows him the usual things; chickens, cows, crops, etc. however, it’s obvious the nephew is getting bored so the uncle suggests he goes on a hunt.

Mr Cunliffe alleged Ms Adams went to “great lengths” to keep the information [a supposed 70% risk of an oil spill] from the public.

So ONE NEWS at 6pm shows Cunliffe on a beach saying “This is a deliberate attempt by a relevant minister to deny the public information which is absolutely crucial to a mature debate on this issue..”

But fail to mention his information is wrong and the ‘unearthed’ secret documents hidden by the Government can be found online [ http://www.rff.org/RFF/Documents/RFF-Resources-177_DeepwaterDrilling.pdf ] and has been there for quite some time.

SKY NEWS, half an hour before ONE, got it right.
So I hope this bites ONE NEWS in the arse, and they learn to check all Cunliffe statements for lies.

I want an URGENT investigation by the OAG into the failure of OFCANZ to do ‘due diligence’ on the increased risk of money-laundering arising from the NZ International Convention Centre Bill (not sure if it yet has Royal Assent).

This Treasury reply confirms that OFCANZ come under Police – which are a ‘Public Entity’.

Big Bruv I did not read the quoted article as it is of no interest to me but I must know; How does comparing one rugby team with one of a different era demonstrate the “arrogance of Kiwis” and what does the size of the sport in global terms have to do with this comparisson?

Get your hand off it Pete.
I have watched and supported many legendary All Blacks and All Black teams over the years.
I never once heard the likes of Dalton, Mourie, Shelford, Fitzpatrick etc beat their chests and label themselves or their team ‘The Greatest of All Time’.
McCaw and Co are arrogant (not to mention DELUDED) tossers- Take your black eyepatch off and admit it..
