1. Kaikoura (Te Tai-o-Marokura) Marine Management Bill – First Reading
2. Border Processing (Trade Single Window and Duties) Bill – Third Reading
The Kaikoura (Te Tai-o-Marokura) Marine Management Bill is being guided through the house by the Minister of Conservation, Nick Smith. The bill seeks to address the current lack of formal protection and recognition of marine species, the submarine canyon, and other natural marine habitats in Te Tai-o-Marokura.
The Border Processing (Trade Single Window and Duties) Bill is being guided through the house by the Minister of Customs, Maurice Williamson. This bill proposes amendments to support the implementation of the Trade Single Window component of the Joint Border Management System.
