Former Mana candidate also standing against Harawira

June 16th, 2014 at 7:00 am by David Farrar

Pete George blogs that is standing in as an independent against . Dearlove was Mana’s candidate in 2011 in te Tai Tonga.

I can’t recall if we’ve ever had a candidate from one election then stand against their own leader the following election. It suggests not all is well in Mana.

This should help Davis, as Dearlove will take votes off Harawira, if anyone.

… and none of those three will be able to help the Northland part with its problems, probably make it even worse.

The best way for Cunliffe to gain any credibility would be run a full noise campaign backing Kelvin to the hilt. This is a great opportunity to rid this country of the Harawira gang and Dot Com’s meddling fingers. Harawira has spent years promising glory to trash like the Popata brothers and the dickheads that invaded the Taipa Sailing club. He hasn’t delivered and he’s done bugger all for anyone up here that isn’t related to his family. Just walk down the main street of Kaitaia to see how far backward things have gone in the last five years.

I realise I’m drawing an extremely long bow, but even a broken clock is right twice a day and easy bets come in occasionally. This is a rare chance for Cunliffe to prove he has a back bone and I hope he doe it. Clinton Dearlove has gifted him a great opportunity and he should run with it.

Clinton Dearlove should come out against Extraditions. Now, that would shake the cage.

Harawra shamelessly sells his electorate seat to a (Nazi loving) German for $3million and then to blunt the political impact starts up a petition to stop coat tailing. it is not the first time a rich white man has coat tailed on the back of poor maori for beads and blankets.

I agree with TN. This is great news for NZ. Even if he only takes 500 votes off Hone that is 500 less Kelvin Davis needs to find. I am definitely not a Labour supporter but a win by Kelvin Davis is the best for NZ overall ( assuming the Nat. or Maori candidate can’t do it)

Agrees totally with TN and Ross. I haven’t been a labour supporter for years, however Kelvin Davis comes across as the best candidate for Tai Tokerau by a queens chain. Here’s hoping that he’s not gagged and made into another puppet.

For the sake of all NZ, everyone should get behind Kelvin Davis’s campaign. Doesn’t matter where you stand on the political spectrum, Kelvin will make the best MP for Te Tai Tokerua. More importantly this will help to ensure that CrimDotcom never has any role to play in our country, other than comic book villain.

Follow the money. This scenario is so far fetched it has to be paid for.

J Key is anxious. Though I’m sure his Labour coalition partner will follow thru with TPP.

otherwise they would never get in.

I am not remotely a fan of Labour, but I hope Kelvin wins the seat. He’s a genuinely decent guy, and having Mana and co out of Parliament altogether would be a nice result.

It would be nice to see someone who actually has Mana winning Te Tai Tokerau.
