Nope. NZ has no state religion, and never has done.

I’m not talking about the religion of the people or the religion of the employees of the state – I’m talking about the religion of the state itself.

If something has a head then it is the head which rules or governs. Government involves the application of principles of dogma or doctrine, and these principles can be expressed in religious terms, as is the case for the coronation oath of the head of state.

I agree with most of what you say and stand corrected.

But if you don’t understand the National Party is socialist led by socialist Keysnian policies as the entire west is you really need some heavy political revision.

Economically, the entire west with no exceptions whatsoever in any case whatsoever is lead by Keysnian economics which leads to full blown communism and totalatarianism direct from Reserve Banks which every nation in the world bar Nth Korea, Iran and Cuba are run by. Tripoli, which had no Reserve Bank was over taken and wallah….now run by a Reserve Bank.

Now when you can be informative and talk to me about the merits and freedoms of Austrian economics which is th ebain of the western industrialised banking vampires, then we can have an enlightened, educated discussion.

The state itself cannot have a “religion”, not in any meaningful sense, as the state is not a person. Unless of course your trying to resurrect the old Roman idea of the divinity of the state, which to me is a dangerous form of idolatry.

Luc Hansen disappeared under strange circumstances. His much feared SWMBO had sold the car in favour of cycles & Luc made mention that the garage was going to be turned into dungeon complete with leg irons & whips.

Alas he has not been heard of since that day. 🙂

Supporters of a man accused of assault on a baby who later died called out in support as he appeared in court today.

What wankers these people are. No wonder we have so much child abuse. Surely condemnation would be more appropriate.

The 33-year-old man, charged with the assault of a 8-month-old baby, was remanded to police custody this afternoon.

The man, who has interim name suppression, was arrested on Sunday after the boy was taken to Waikato Hospital with critical injuries on Sunday morning.

The baby died of his injuries in Auckland’s Starship Hospital last night.

Religion isn’t limited to persons, anything that can express the idea of deity or divine or supernatural beings can have a religion. In this sense a book can have a religion, eg a Christian book is a book that describes Christian issues.
The state has a head, and that head can comprehend religion, so ideas expressed by the state can can have religious nature.

As a separate case imagine a club in which the president had religious beliefs, although some members were agnostic.
The club rules were made by the president, and these rules reflected his religious beliefs. As a result the rules had a religious nature even though some members were agnostic. The rules of the club could be described a the state of the club, i.e. the it’s internal nature, in the same way that the state of a country describes the internal nature of the body politic of the country.

So, UT, because Queen Elizabeth is NZ’s head of state, she makes the rules for NZ and all NZers follow her religious rules, which is why John Key and Helen Clark both converted to the Church of England in order to become prime ministers.

She only sets the ground rules for the state. Statists will follow those rules because it is their nature, but not all people are statists.

A further complication is that one of the ground rules is universalism. The application of this rule by the statists means that they act as if all people should obey they state.
