A Sydney woman detained in Malaysia is still yet to learn if she will be charged or deported, five days after being arrested at an environmental protest. Natalie Lowrey and 15 Malaysian activists were arrested on Sunday outside the plant of Australian miner Lynas Corp in the eastern state of Pahang.

The group apparently broke through a police barricade while demonstrating against the plant, which they claim produces dangerous radioactive waste.

27.3% shit that’s bad news for Labour, so close to the GE.

So, what would that 27.3% be composed of? Well, of course the lofos, Pacific Islanders, immigrants who came in under Helen Clark, but also self confessed ‘tribal’ voters like the very intelligent, articulate, by-all-accounts very affable Russell Brown –

It is worth considering this issue in light of the larger issue of the growing inequality we have seen over the last three decades. Uber, like Amazon, has allowed a small number of people to become extremely rich by evading regulations and/or taxes that apply to their middle class competitors. Amazon and other Internet-based retailers have used their tax advantage to put tens of thousands brick and mortar stores out of business.

This is a pretty simple story. In a country where rules are enforced or not enforced to benefit the rich and screw the middle class, you will have increasing inequality and a middle class that is seeing few of the benefits of economic growth.

RB: “turning NZ into a one party commie state.”

We’ve had MMP for two decades and over that time have always had multi-party government.

But why let reality get in the way of another gormless cut and paste.

God your moniker says so much. Justice! Justice for the peeeeople! You make your own luck in this world mate. All the best to you.

DG yes I clearly remember the Mike Moore scene you describe, mind you he did have that pleading hangdog face anyway didn’t he. Clark was ruthless but then by all accounts so is our PM, it’s just that Helen clawed her way to the top taking scalps and crawling over bodies on the way, for years and years. It seems slightly disgusting to me. However John Key is a winner and aced in with a path cleared for him by way of Boag and the rest is history. That’s why people like him. He’s not a politician, he’s a winner and a self made man who knows what being really poor is really like (so do I actually) has a nice Mrs and two kids, so they can relate to him.

He might be a bit Jagger-esque, in that women want to be with him, and men want to be like him!

Educated though I am, I actually rather like Keith Holyoake’s line “An ounce of loyalty is worth a ton of cleverness”…

Russell: You have gone very quiet…surely you don’t doubt your ability to write 1000 words or so that our gracious host is willing to run as a guest post? Surely??

Because of course if you don’t even give it a go, you will be one of those spineless amoebae type organisms you so despise…

God of Nations at Thy feet,
In the bonds of love we meet,
    Hear our voices, we entreat,
    God defend our free land.
    Guard Pacific’s triple star
From the shafts of strife and war,
    Make her praises heard afar,
    God defend New Zealand.

    2
Men of every creed and race,
    Gather here before Thy face,
Asking Thee to bless this place,
    God defend our free land.
    From dissension, envy, hate,
    And corruption guard our state,
Make our country good and great,
    God defend New Zealand.

    3
Peace, not war, shall be our boast,
But, should foes assail our coast,
Make us then a mighty host,
    God defend our free land.
Lord of battles in Thy might,
    Put our enemies to flight,
Let our cause be just and right,
    God defend New Zealand.

    4
Let our love for Thee increase,
    May Thy blessings never cease,
Give us plenty, give us peace,
    God defend our free land.
    From dishonour and from shame,
    Guard our country’s spotless name,
    Crown her with immortal fame,

    May our mountains ever be
    Freedom’s ramparts on the sea,
    Make us faithful unto Thee,
    God defend our free land.
Guide her in the nations’ van,
Preaching love and truth to man,
    Working out Thy glorious plan,
    God defend New Zealand.

    Mr Garret,

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. Been working and have only just had the opportunity to catch up with the pearls of wisdom you have dropped here in GD.

You’re so bad on comprehension. When I said your opinions on Redbaiter were worthless I was referring to your comments at 6:21PM and at 6:53PM.

I asked you why you thought your opinion of Redbaiter was worth posting here because it just seemed to me that posting such meaningless shit as “you’re sad” could really just be left out. So DG thinks I’m sad. So fucking what? What do you want from me?

I couldn’t give a fuck what your opinion of myself is. TDVM comes here in his usual full on cowardly smarmy sneering attack mode and sparks off a series of unpleasant exchanges. Why on earth would you feel compelled to add fuel to the fire? What on earth would prompt that?

As for your “challenge”- go fuck yourself. You’re an unintelligent bore. Can’t you get that?

That some fuckwit declared it to be Redbaiter and now that declaration rests all over the web is an excellent example of how internet history can cause a massive untruth to be accepted as fact. Gormless fools like you and DG carry on the rumour because you’re too dim to discern truth from fairy tale.

I have declared many a time that I do not live in Tauranga and have never lived in Tauranga but apparently for reasons I can only guess at your prefer to spread the lie. At least the theory regarding your own identity and the collision with the poor old lady where you accepted all responsibility has some strength to it.

D4J you should just ignore Bigot Bruv. His whole purpose in posting the crap he does is to goad you so you will be demerited off the forum. This alone shows what a cowardly dishonest POS he is. Let alone his complete inability to refrain from lies and deceit to the extent that on one forum where he was eventually banned he was found to have about 15 or 20 different identities.

He’s probably got just as many here, because as a psychopath he completely lacks the restraint that is characteristic of anyone who knows the meaning of shame. I only know of two nicks for certain, but who knows how many this proven cheat and liar would really have.

Believe me, just ignoring him is the best policy. Like many of the pathological communists who hang out here, he’s just not worth stressing yourself over. Just worthless internet vermin and best if you don’t acknowledge his existence.
