National announces coalition choices

John Key has announced the following.

  • They will contest all 64 electorates
  • In Ohariu and Epsom they are saying that they are happy for supporters to vote tactically for Peter Dunne and David Seymour
  • There is no “deal” with the Conservatives in East Coast Bays, or elsewhere.
  • Main focus is on maximising the party vote for

suspect thousands of National activists around the country have just breathed a sigh of relief there is no deal with the Conservatives.

In my view there should be representation in Parliament for those have seriously conservative social and economic views. However both and Conservatives are competing in that space and while they remain separate parties, there is a risk neither will make it. But I can't see either agreeing to be the deputy leader to the other one 🙂
