“Vote Positive” – how will that play out for Labour? Just listening to the likes of Grant Robertson getting fired up on Morning Report (and Cunliffe yesterday in general), Labour’s Vote Positive message is being drowned out as Labour succumbs to “Hager Hysteria”. (And today’s poll out with Labour dropping to 22% reinforces this)!

Thankfully for the Greens their message isn’t Vote Positive either because Guyon highlighted Meteria Turei’s hypocrisy on Morning Report this morning – the Greens feed material to the MSM quietly so that the MSM then end up formally asking the Greens for a response, so that the Greens are at arms length to being the ones highlighting an issue. Turei had to admit this but sanctimoniously implied they are justified in doing so. The average (non-Green/Labour) voter would have been astounded to hear Turei’s negativity and hypocrisy when being caught out. Oh dear.

Prominent professional avoids conviction for second time

A prominent Tauranga professional has avoided conviction for the second time after offending against his son.

The man, aged in his 50s, was also given permanent name and occupation suppression at Auckland District Court this afternoon when Judge Philip Recordon delivered his decision.

I know Phil Recordon before he became a judge. I held him in high regard.

The left wing attack blog The Standard which is run by and gets insider information from Labour politicians and Greg Presland, who is a close advisor and friend of David Cunliffe, is running the story that a right wing blog is getting insider information from National politicians.
Hacked and stolen information published by left wing Activist Hager “proves” that that the bloggers even use “hacked” and “stolen” information.

Hager comes into possession of stolen property… other people’s private emails
Hager publishes this stolen material and makes money out of it … one assumes.
Is Cameron Slater now entitled to charge Hager with illegally having his property and any money derived from the email publication is proceeds from criminal activity –
the type of activity Hager and associates so frequently demonstrate against – illegal acquisition of private information

I was at a law public talk by a visiting human rights laws expert from the UK a few yrs ago.

In a nutshell ,he said the left hated judges as they were more “establishment” than the establishment.(polite guffaws from the trendy lefties present) In order to get around that and get their left wing subversive agenda past establishment judges they had to get parliamnet to pass human rights laws.

He said NZ was first to do this and the UK saw this and modelled much of its human rights legislation on ours.

Now though ,they needn’t worry,so many judges are activists it no longer matters.

In my considered opinion :-) , someone who would call for a respected minister to have ALL her Ministerial warrants revoked without recourse to due process is most certainly NOT the sort of person who should be serving in Parliament!

I repeated parts of that this morning on the thread detailing the violation of this excellent blog’s host.
It is now appropriate to re-post part of that here, just to remind the dick heads of what a bunch of low life (it is easier now, to understand how the left in pre war Germany morphed into Hitler’s Nazis) that the left in general really are.

    To repeat:
I wonder how long it will take for TVNZ, Red radio, TV 3 et al to follow up your [Edit…DPF’s] disclosures. They (the disclosures today)will add fuel to the belief that Hager is nothing more than, as Michael Bassett described him yesterday, “a ferret -faced fruitcake”.
I add to that, “and party to a criminal conspiracy.”

Penny Tarnish has just finished reading DIRTY POLITICS saying –
In my considered opinion, Minister of Corruption Judith Collins is an absolute disgrace and a disgusting example of New Zealand womanhood.

But while Penny Tarnish attributes to herself “judicial” recognition as an anti-corruption “watchdog”, she doesn’t pay her rates.
One year of this might be a personal protest
An extra period may show the sloth of court procedure
But Penny’s current failure to highlight Auckland City Council’s utter ineptitude to collect due rates should be the very example of the corporate sloth or political hesitance of the Council to do its duty.

And her continued non-payment of rates, having made any point some time ago, is now personal advantage, and integrity befert behaviour no less corrupt or disgraceful than what she accuses Judith Collins of.

Hager’s profit from stolen emails is more criminal than what he and his cohorts accuse Key, the SIS and others of in spying.
Bright’s non-payment of rates now reflects nothing more than the financial “corruption” she accuses the Auckland City Council of.

Both destroy their own goals by the very behaviour they condemn

    The electoral silly season…..

Muriel Newman, in her weekly newsletter (last evening), nails it:

” ……. in New Zealand politics, the endless stream of exaggerated political claims that are already hitting the headlines signals the campaign will be more about sideshows and sensationalism, than any serious debate on policy issues.

As the influential American writer H.L. Mencken once wrote, “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed – and hence clamorous to be led to safety – by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”

The problem is that with politicians focussed on hyping up their sound-bites to get into the news, many voters will never get to hear the important information that lies behind controversial headlines. ……”

While Iran burns, there are still problems with Israel and Gaza and in the Ukraine, riots at home in the U.S, Obama is on holiday playing golf and dancing the night away. Even the French minister said he should go home.

President Obama’s vacationing ways have captured the attention of overseas allies, who urge him: get back in the White House — people are dying in Iraq.

“I know it is the holiday period in our Western countries,” French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told a radio interviewer Tuesday, referring to Mr. Obama’s two-week stint on Martha’s Vineyard while Islamic State terrorists take over Iraq, the New York Post reported.

“But when people are dying, you must come back from vacation,” Mr. Fabius said.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/aug/14/french-minister-obama-quit-vacationing/

Obama took a hurried few minutes out of his time to hold a small press conference, not leaving any time even for questions, before hurrying to the golf course.

President Obama took time from his vacation to briefly address the situation in Iraq with the Islamic State terrorist group and the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, that have resulted from the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

Obama traveled from his vacation home to the Edgartown School to give his statement–a location that was less than three miles from the golf course.

Late for his 12:15 p.m. scheduled press appearance, he arrived at the school at 12:44 p.m. and finished speaking at about 12:58 p.m. He did not take questions from reporters.

The President left the school at 1:00 p.m. and arrived at the Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown by 1:04.

According to the White House pool report, Obama is golfing with Cyrus Walker, Jim Kim, and former Ambassador Ron Kirk.

Before going dancing at a party –

A Martha’s Vineyard photographer quietly deleted photographs of President Obama dancing during a birthday party after they went viral online.

Editorial and fine art photographer Elizabeth Cecil posted two photos of the president on her Instagram account from the party that was closed to the press. […]

After the Weekly Standard featured the dancing photo in an article which hit the Drudge Report, the photos were quickly deleted.

In breaking news there has been a press release from David Cunliffe.

“I have reconsidered my remarks that Judith Collins must resign or be sacked because she has talked to bloggers. I must now admit that I have done the same as I have often relayed gossip to the left wing bloggers like MickySavage.
I remember what I learned when I was a Boy Scout, and in which I was the youngest Queen’s Scout New Zealand has ever had. They said you must tell the truth
I am therefore standing down as the Labour Leader. I will become a Trappist Monk, who observe a vow of silence, and I am immediately moving to the Trappist Monastery in Hawkes Bay.
I know I will be remembered, as Grant Robertson tells me, as the greatest leader that Labour has ever had”

When asked about this statement Grant Robertson answered “David who?”
He then said he was far to busy preparing for what he was sure would be a call from TVNZ asking him to appear in the debates with John Key to discuss somebody he had never heard of.

Correction. DC says he has been misquoted when he said he was a Queen’s Scout. He says “What I said was that I would have been the youngest if I had ever been a scout. Can I help it if I misquote myself?”

Now even he’s getting stuck into the incompetent crapweasel, so much so that Salon is circling the wagons and casting out those who no longer truly believe.

    Brilliant.

Everything is unraveling on him, and there is nothing he can – given his abilities, his work ethic and his ideology – do about it. Liberal commentators are writhing with discomfort as Obama vacations while the world burns.

His latest impromptu press conference had to do with the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, which led the executive director of the police union to say that – “discussing police tactics from Martha’s Vineyard is not helpful.”

As far as the golf fetish is concerned, Ramirez nails it with a single editorial cartoon.

    What do you think Kiwibloggers?

    http://www.cabinetmanual.cabinetoffice.govt.nz/2.50

Conduct, public duty, and personal interests

    General

2.50 To protect the integrity of the decision-making process of executive government and to maintain public trust in the Executive, Ministers and Parliamentary Under-Secretaries must conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to their office. Accordingly, the guidance in paragraphs 2.52 – 2.96:

    explains the standards of personal conduct expected of Ministers;

    assists Ministers to identify those personal interests that might be seen to influence their decision making;

sets out options for managing conflicts of interest where necessary.

2.51 The guidance on conduct, public duty, and personal interests applies to all Ministers (inside and outside Cabinet) and Parliamentary Under-Secretaries. References to Ministers in this guidance include Parliamentary Under-Secretaries.

    Conduct of Ministers
2.52A Minister of the Crown, while holding a ministerial warrant, acts in a number of different capacities:

    in a ministerial capacity, making decisions, and determining and promoting policy within particular portfolios;

    in a political capacity as a member of Parliament, representing a constituency or particular community of interest;

    in a personal capacity.

2.53 In all these roles and at all times, Ministers are expected to act lawfully and to behave in a way that upholds, and is seen to uphold, the highest ethical standards. Ultimately, Ministers are accountable to the Prime Minister for their behaviour.

2.54 Holding ministerial office is regarded as a full-time occupation and is remunerated as such. Accordingly:

    accepting additional payment for doing anything that could be regarded as a ministerial function is not permissible;
accepting payment for any other activities requires the prior approval of the Prime Minister.

Claire Trevett: Pollies twerk the crowd

    Thursday, 14 August 2014

    ………

The debate was derided as “boring” because the rules set by the convener, the formidable Holly Ryan, prohibited heckling, sledging or even mentioning another party. Any who offended more than once would be evicted. They did have a slight killjoy factor but it was not boring at all. The rules added their own level of entertainment. There was grumbling when Ryan also tried to outlaw clapping. The highlight was her addressing Key like a recalcitrant toddler when he broke the rules by mentioning Labour policies.

The surprise hit was the Maori Party candidate, Te Hira Paenga, who managed to endear himself to a room in which only about five people were on the Te Tai Tokerau roll with a combination of youthful exuberance and humour. His speech got the biggest cheer of the night. The audience was predominantly National but they also adopted the underdog, cheering good-naturedly when Penny Bright was introduced as reward for her triumph in defying the force of Ryan and getting into the debate.
She fought Ryan’s law and she won.

    ………………………….

So – more ‘wilful blindness’ from our ex-Wall Street banker Prime Minister John Key?

Although the Prime Minister is the one who is supposed to hold his Ministers accountable to the ‘highest ethical standards’ – he won’t be investigating the behaviour of his Minister of Corruption (oops! ‘Justice’) Judith Collins.

    No surprises there.

I suppose at least he’s consistent.

John Key refused to look at the Police Report regarding John Banks, and took him at his word as well.

That worked out well regarding John Key’s ‘judgement of character’ of dodgy John Banks.

    NOT.

I should hope most of the supporters of this company, and there are many, will pull their work and seek a more appropriate outlet for their requirements. This company has been a backer of unions and weirdos opposed to private enterprise for a long time and it would be good to see it being one of the first held to account for its fiscally treasonous operations. Anyone who has artwork, plates, film, discs, etc., held by this company, has the right to uplift them, in good condition for no cost, and get the work printed by someone more trustworthy.

I accept that as I don’t support National at present, and are on a right wing blog, it is necessary for me to at least attempt to explain why I believe the way I do. I don’t always manage, I have an Irish temper, and it usually infects the fingers first. I also make an effort to try and understand other points of views – but that doesn’t always work out too good either.

Hager the Horrible appears on Prime News Sky at 5.30 confident a master-stroke will prevent him from having to divulge the source of the stolen emails –
he has returned the hard copy memory stick to the person who reputedly gave it to him.

But does this exempt him from naming that person. I think not, as shown in the case of the Dotcom book and its use as evidence.

And Hager now, it would appear, is unable to substantiate any of his claims, if he does not have the originals … or copies.

Excellent article on the deliberate dumbing down of America:

    http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-dumbing-down-of-america-by-design/5395928

What is said of America can equally be said of NZ in that our education system works perfectly, exactly as designed.

It churns out dumb bovine, obedient slaves who wont ask too many questions and are incapable of critical thinking. Slaves who tell you the joys of socialism, how Global Warming is a catastrophic threat and to save ourselves we must return civilisation to the stone ages and that a piece of paper signed 200 years ago called “Treaty” should govern all the interactions of those who walk on these 3 islands in 2014.

Our school functions exactly as planned and nothing will change. Nothing will ever be any different unless we get rid of our political elite and the hangers on in the “3rd sector”.

This socialism has worked very well in the NZ. It has turned a once great nation into an indebted, dysfunctional mess. This is exactly what it is supposed to do, rot society from the inside out as designed intended via the “long march through the institutions”.
