Have I got this right?

August 7th, 2014 at 11:00 am by David Farrar

3 News reports:

Prime Minister doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with referring to as Internet Party leader ’s “sugar daddy”.

Mr Key made the comments on RadioLive todya and Ms Harre told the same radio station she found them deeply offensive.

Asked later if he stood by them, Mr Key said he did.

“I think it’s totally accurate,” he told reporters. “He funds her.”

Mr Key denied the comments were offensive or sexist and said he would say the same thing about Mana leader Hone Harawira.

“I think she is literally being funded by Kim Dotcom … if he wasn’t putting up the money, she wouldn’t be there,” Mr Key said.

Laila has openly said she abandoned the Greens for Dotcom, because of the resources he offered. The Greens were not paying her $150,000 a year, as Dotcom is.

But I love their thought patterns. It is outrageous for the PM to call Dotcom a Sugar Daddy, but it is fine for Dotcom to lead a crowd in chanting “Fuck John Key” and then be so proud of that, to stick it on You Tube as an official party ad.

Lying Jew

If you want offensive, than the above qualifies I would say. Probably inspired by the person who leads the crowd chanting “Fuck John Key” and alleges he is a stooge for Hollywood.

If “offence” is the yardstick for silencing politicians, then Harre should STFU completely. I’m offended by almost every word that comes out of her mouth.

Even for the extreme leftist she is, IMHO she’s one of the most unprincipled hypocritical insincere fakes out there. Utterly disgusting in her cynicism and opportunism.

I am no fan of John Key’s.However I find the double standards in our media to be a worry.Last night TVNZ led the news with the sugardaddy comment.

Personally I don’t think it’s offensive ,it’s politics ,and mildly amusing.

I am wondering why the media, who are obsessed by Krim Dotcom’s every utterance, have not picked up his Nuremburg rally style “fuck you” display.I await that to lead the 6 o’clock news tonight.

And finally while I believe in free speech, the attack on that hoarding is most definitley offensive. Offensive should not be a crime but defacing other people’s property is and whoever did that deserves to be caught and convicted for criminal damage.

It’s pretty disgusting stuff, but I suspect KDC is already playing on a theme that has historical roots, and is being played out in the Gaza, contributing to it. Not to mention the perceived differences in wealth that is dominating the popular discourse.

Historically people have frequently accused the Jews of being responsible for inequality in wealth distribution. They are popularly characterised by successful business practices, and therefore make an easy target for the ‘have nots’.

Much has been made of John Key’s jewish descent – he is of not a practicing Jew, and I doubt has no intention of being one – however, in his role as PM, he is the target when people believe they are suffering, so he was going to get the blame anyway – and his Jewishness provides an old theme.

The war in the Gaza is being perceived by many as Jews being the bullies – which is added to the other beliefs. Throw in there all the other conspiracy stuff that has been falsey mooted – e.g. jews lying about the numbers exterminated and so on – suddenly you have a group for people to target their angst to. Get a charismatic person like KDC (yes, some think he is great) – out there dissing John Key ‘the jew’ and you’ve got the beginnings of something pretty nasty… but not unfamiliar to the history of the world.

I don’t think KDC is to blame, and cannot take credit for this phenomena, however, he is an opportunist and is certainly feeding off it.

I don’t know how it can be controlled – but hopefully there are enough people left that ‘remember’ just how easy it is for such things to lose all sense of balance and snowball. The power of propaganda should never be underestimated.

John Key must step aside and not play this from the ‘Jewish’ angle – it needs to be squashed without making the divisions too obvious, or we will get rebellion from our youth, who history has shown has the power to be very destructive. Work with the youth, win them over by getting them onside – not isolating them.

It depends what it is though. With only a few days before the election, Key might not have sufficient time to find proof to discount whatever he is being accused of. His simple word saying it isn’t true, will count for little, if he can’t prove it I suspect. I think the timing is pretty deliberate – there will not be enough time for Key to present his evidence, and thus people will go to the polls based on whatever KDC has to say. Pretty clever on his part – lets hope someone has pre-empted his move by finding out what it is and having the evidence against it on hand.

And there’s no doubt that “prostitute” is appropriate as a description for her actions, she has admitted that herself, she did it for the money on offer. But of course you would be entirely comfortable with not only specifically identifying Key as a Jew, but comfortable with the fact that such a description is a sufficiently nasty insult as to be worth doing.

The left is always behind special rules, ones that explicitly mean that their opponents are not allowed to use bad words to decribe them (even if true), but that they are absolutely free to use same words and ones even more obscene to describe their opponents: because their opponents really are properly described that way. Whereas they are always as pure as driven snow and only have the best interest of “insert special interest group whose votes we want here” at heart.

Hypocrisy is ALWAYS worth “naming and shaming”.

I think Key needs to stop buying into any of it and act like the better man. Do his job and ignore them, because every time he responds he gives them air space.

Leave them to get their own attention, because they only way they can do that is by making fools of themselves.

Key has to start acting with dignity and the demeanor expected of a Statesman. None of the other candidates are able to offer that, but he can. If he simply acts like the rest of them, he won’t be portraying that one quality that is sadly lacking in this entire campaign.

Of course Key isn’t tied to Gaza, but the word Jew is all over the news. And Key is frequently called a Jew. It is the total mindset that I was referring to. Jews being bullies in Gaza, Jews being the rich ones, Jews making money from the poor – the relationship is easily formed when clever people push it a bit – get some kid who can’t update his iphone because he’s got no money, and can’t pirate the games he wants to off the web and someone suggests to him it is yet another ‘jews’ fault – and off they go…

Things never happen in isolation, it is the sum of all the messages the youth get that allows or gives them permission to form the opinions they do.

How’s this for an argument for the Zionist state being run by the criminally insane?

Mental disease. Among the Jews the proportion of insane has been observed to be very large. From statistics collected by Buschan he concludes that they are four to six times more liable to mental disease than are non-Jews. Lombroso quotes Servi (“Gli Israeliti di Europa,” 1872) to the effect that in Italy there is one insane among 391 Jews, nearly four times as many as among the Catholic population of that country. Verga (“Archivio di Statistico,” 1880) shows that in 1870 there was one insane among 1,775 Catholics in Italy, while with the Jews it reached the alarming proportion of one insane in 384 of population. A similar phenomenon has been observed in other countries. In the various provinces of Germany and also in Denmark the percentage of Jewish insane is very large, as is seen from the figures in the appended table:

According to some of our resident anti-Je…oops, sorry, “anti-Zionist” commentators, that kind of vandalism is not anti-Semitism at all and nothing to worry about.

    Meanwhile, back on planet Earth….

It looks anti-Semitic to me. However, think it is utterly dishonest to link the Internet party with the vandalism of the hoarding. The sign could have just as easily been vandalized by some young Nats looking to garner sympathetic publicity, no sane person could vandalize a sign in that manner while expecting the target of the vandalism to suffer as a consequence. This kind of graffiti was always going to work for #TeamKey.

Ugly Truth, you again misinformed about the incidence of schizophrenia amongst Jews.

It’s not about schizophrenia. To understand what “make the heart of this people fat” means, you’ve got to understand the language. In Hebrew the heart is considered to be the seat of the mind as well as the seat of the emotions. To make it fat suggests the idea that the thoughts and emotion are the result of internal processes like imagination, rather than external ones like prophetic insight or the observation of reality.

    Re Chardonnay Guy at 12.36:

It would be too easy, and most likely wrong, to blame Kyle Chapman’s National Front or the Right Wing Resistance whatever it is now called for the attack on the Key poster.

Last heard of, Chapman was running some sort of food kitchen for the homeless in Hamilton, and before that he seemed to have graduated from the far right to survivalism.

True, in 2011, his group was under fire for passing out pamphlets in Auckland saying “stop the Asian invasion”.

Any outrage among thinking people should have been stifled by Cabinet Minister Possum Pete Dunne in response calling for a “multiculturalism act” whose effect would have been to cement into NZ the Marxist-originating doctrine of multiculturalism (as opposed to racial and cultural tolerance, which are valid and worth while).

Dunne is too thick to see that freezing in all groups’ cultural rights and giving them full protection means accepting and giving full rights to some cultural beliefs that would entail curtailing the rights and beliefs of all others. That is, it’s fucking impossible.

Incidentally, Taumaranui-born Chapman first gained notoriety when he used a molotov cocktail at a southern marae. Chapman is part-Maori.

Even if you don’t believe that the book of Isaiah is relevant, the fact is that there are many religious Jews who do, and somehow they have to come to terms with the fact that their own texts can says that they, or at least some of them, will be figuratively blinded and prevented from understanding. The idea that non-believers are kept from understanding is also present in the core texts of the Christian and Muslim religions.

With the current controversy over Gaza and the call to remove the Israeli embassy, perhaps the defacing of the hoarding has some value in drawing attention to the NZ’s relationship with a state which is arguably criminally insane.

Where to start? The Internet Party has never sought or received an electoral mandate. Laila Harre is not the elected leader of the Internet Party; she was hired by Dotcom. The Internet Party is completely undemocratic, as is its liaison with Mana, which has also been bought off by Dotcom.

This is nothing more than an attempt to buy democracy. For that reason alone, leaving out any concerns about Dotcom’s integrity, the rug needs to be pulled out from under the Internet Party.

    Works both ways, David.

Firstly, John Key didn’t call Dotcom a Sugar Daddy, he siad he was Lilia’s Sugar Dadday. The “insult” was clearly aimed at Laila not a Dotcom. He surely would not have said that if the leader of IP had been a man.

Secondly, if you think she shouldn’t get upset about it, then why do you find a crowd chanting “Fuck John Key” upsetting?

FWIW, I don’t think Laila is any more “offended” than you (or John Key) are by the video. Both offer an opportunity to play the victim and attack the political opponents.

Key says he would have if the leader of the Mana Party was a man.

Mr Key denied the comments were offensive or sexist and said he would say the same thing about Mana leader Hone Harawira.

“I think it’s totally accurate,” he told reporters. “He funds her.”

“I think she is literally being funded by Kim Dotcom … if he wasn’t putting up the money, she wouldn’t be there,” Mr Key said.

He didn’t accept that there was a sexual component to a sugar daddy, defining it as “someone who funds somebody else”.
