Where’s Hone?

September 5th, 2014 at 12:23 pm by David Farrar

Michael Fox at Stuff writes:

Where is ?

With just over two weeks till the election the man who is supposed to be leading Internet Mana has been nowhere to be seen.

Instead, his deputies and Internet Party leader Laila Harre have been front and centre for the unlikely alliance while Harawira was first recovering from a serious car accident and later on leave, which the party says was booked in advance.

He arranged a week’s leave for the middle of the election campaign? Yeah, right.

Someone should check Dotcom’s ample butt cleft. There is a very good chance he sat on Hone and nobody thought to look.

Perhaps he is ill from all the dead rats he has swallowed…e.g. from “cannabis dealers should be shot” to “let’s decriminalise cannabis”…

Word is that Hone has taken his half million dollar advance from Dotcon and is having a luxury holiday and big spend up on the Gold Coast in Aussie.

He was talking to Sean Plunket this morning. He was talking (sort-of) about making medicinal use of marijuana legal. I don’t think he knows that the ‘medical’ variety is different to the home grown. (and neither do Ally and her mate who I gave 5 minutes before turning off.)

Have to say, Sean’s session 9-12 is usually pretty entertaining. It’s about the only daytime radio I listen to these days. Today .com rang in for a chat, and didn’t get it all his own way either. At times he sounded like a kid complaining – why, aw why, mu-um.

The car accident was fatal and DotKrim has the corpse stored in a Coatesville freezer.

They’ll bring him out now and again with a broomstick up his bum just like the Soviets did with Brezhnev.

Maybe he disagreed with some Internet Party policy, and so DotCom sent him off on an all-expenses-paid vacation to get him out of the way.

    Here’s a scenario.

From his pakeha side, Hone is one of the more prominent relatives in the southern hemisphere of the famous Hatfields/Hadfields who engaged in perhaps the most famous feud of all, against the McCoys.

Perhaps, just perhaps, Hone has gone to America to help with preparations for the 150th anniversary of the outbreak of the feud. That occurred when the McCoys shot Asa McCoy, who alone from the two West Virginia-Kentucky border families, had fought for the Union in the American Civil War.

The Hatfields shot McCoy on January 7, 1865.

Or maybe, Hone has gone to Scotland to help with the stirrings there on behalf of remote ancestors on his pakeha side.

When people talk about the wild Harawiras of Northland, they shouldn’t blame the Maori genes, after all. Those Hatfield/Hadfields are of fighting Northern Irish stock, earlier transplanted from the Scots border families.

I am waiting to see the result of the maori TV poll for the TTT seat. Maybe wishful thinking, but I hope that is shows that Maori Party voters are planning to tick Kelvin Davis and Party Vote Moari, thus depriving Internet/Mana of thier coat tail.

Edit my 1.10 post on the Hatfield/Hadfields v. the McCoys.

It was, of course, the Hatfield/Hadfields who shot Asa McCoy, the Union Army veteran.

There are some juicy rumours doing the rounds.

Mostly regarding possible contributing factors to his car wreck.

Going to ground does not do much to put those rumours to rest.

he booked in advance a car accident ?

Suffering 4th degree burns after falling asleep in a browning clinic reading up to pg 9 of Dotecom’s autographed copy of Mein Kamp. On waking up in a Whanau Ora bed his first words were “ver ist de Sudatenland, unt my people need more Lebensraum” A nurse from Somalia was duly detached to get a bottle from the nearest off licence.

What’s happening to Hone I’ve seen happen before to upper middle management types when they become surplus to requirements after mergers or changes in company ownership. Their sort of quietly moved sideways out of the picture until one day they no longer appear on the payroll and no one notices by then.

Whatever’s going on, it’s a very strange time to be absent from a campaign. Bigger party I know, but remember the furore when Cunners took the holiday a little while back?
