Worst campaign idea ever!

September 5th, 2014 at 3:00 pm by David Farrar

The Herald reports:

A Malaysia Airlines promotion targeted at Kiwis and titled “My Ultimate Bucket List” has been labelled atrocious by MH370 widow Danica Weeks.

How did no one in Mayalsia Airlines twig that a campaign around a bucket list was not something the airline should do!

Lifes cheap in Asia. Only got to go there to see the lack of health and safety deaths on the road et al.

The mind set of the Malaysia Airlines senior management and directors wouldn’t have seen the irony in this at all.

It would have all gone over their heads. In fact they will be sitting in the Board room in KL looking at each other shaking their heads wondering why the fuss.

Everyone dies eventually, and nearly everyone has a bucket list.

The people complaining about this are just looking for a reason to take offence.

This might be lead to provide a non-career wrecking settlement for the Queenstown policewoman, who, when pissed, gave the Malaysian taxi driver a rough time.

Offer her discharge without penalty is she agrees to take five free round trips on Malaysia Airlines.

Well strapping in behind a potentially suicidal pilot to fly through a war zone sure sounds exciting…

When I saw the title of the post I thought it was going to describe telling people you were going to stiff them for CGT before your parent is cold in the ground, in the closing stages of a General Election.

The criticism of Malaysia Airlines is rather contrived, as gump has suggested above. A “bucket list” is a series of places to visit or other objectives to be achieved during one’s lifetime. It’s all to do with how a person intends to live, not how he / she intends to die.

Sadly this is the Enraged and Offended Age we live in fuelled by the Left who find outrage and offence in anything and everything.

Ever noticed how the Left especially the wimmin all have pursed lips. I find the best way to deal with them is to tell a sexist joke.

    Gets them going every time.

How to write a story for the herald: find a trivial matter and seek outraged commentary from people likely to be offended.
