@ Reid,

The phenomenon of a wall of Chinese money hitting Auckland is nothing new as you know because it has also hit numerous other cities around the world in particular Vancouver, Sydney, West Coast USA amongst others. It is more noticeable in Auckland because of it’s tiny size and the fact that we are a low wage country which make the price differentials relative to income even more whopping than Canada, Australia and the US.

The real question as you point out is where are the real stats and why are big players moving heaven and earth to shut down this debate and what this means for our future?

I know you and I have seen it and watched it since it started.

How come others haven’t. How come some resisted the diagnosis when it was first offered?

Esp those paid to watch it for a living?

That’s the shit storm in the wings EAD.

Imagine if most of Akld dropped 25%. How many thousands of bankruptcies would that entail? How many bank failures? And 25%?

That’s the lower end of what Key has allowed, people.

Ugly Truth , you appear to be implying that the beheading of Journalists like James Foley were staged / faked ?? . the claim stemmed from a Daily Telegraph report indicating the same.

However there is no question that Foley and others likeminded were executed by ISIS and there is footage / stills of his severed head and body. And of course we get the usual silly look a likes beloved by CTers to suggest James Foley was maybe a CIA operative

The facts are ISIS have gone to some lengths to ” stage ” their executions in the sense of a rather grisly kind of PR marketing ploy . The aim to invoke fear and terror which is proving to be rather effective among certain people ,

Anyway, the debates here have largely become a joke, mostly because we have to deal with the Tin Foil Hat club, Obama worshipers, aplogists (Ugly) for the pedophile false prophet, and lazy public leeches like mikenmild.

I’m going to take a long break. Hopefully things will improve at some point.

Reid, that was already occurring under Labour.

Yeah I know Shawn but while Liarbore was in power there was no money.

See, we’ve had extremely high unanounced and undebated immigration under both Labour and National.

The diff under National is that around 2010 suddenly money was in the hands of the new Chinese immigrants.

And Key of course would have picked this up, but he never told us.

Cheap Chinese money has been available to both new residents and to offshore buyers since then.

I personally think the Chinese do this as their colonisation technique. I learnt back in the 80’s SE Asian countries mostly have betw 10-20 Chinese minority, and they all tried to form first generation merchant class, second generation professional. Generation leaders came as opportunities arose.

That was all throughout ASEAN.

That’s what’s happening here. Except we’re a little, not much, but a little brighter than your average Malay or Viet peasant, so they’re playing us a different way.

But they’re still playing us.

I always remember a study that came out and you can deny it but results prove it.

Asians have on average a 10 point advantage over Europeans.

Europeans have on average a 10 point advantage over Negros.

Decry it if you like. Facts around the world in terms of results, prove it.

Jews BTW are top of the pile.

Further proof.

Point is though.

When have we ever had a debate about what we want OUR country to look like?

It was Labour, too, who presided over the electorally unmandated “turn” towards Asia in the late-80s. That they are, at last, addressing the misgivings expressed to me by Sonja Davies’ all those years ago, is to be applauded – not condemned.

Labour’s Chinese whispers have nothing to do with racism. They’re about national sovereignty and the people’s will.
