Today’s revelation DPF has posted, ‘Fewer than 200 trusts, all disclosed’ raises some pretty serious questions about what is going on inside TVNZ and RNZ, editorially.

I think it’s pretty clear by now that both institutions are absolutely riddled with anti National engineers whose main objective seems to be providing a disease vector for Opposition – Campbell, Bradford, the odious fellow Shane Taurima etc.

While only a fool would sell TVNZ – it returns a divvy to the Government now and isn’t worth so much, and RNZ still does carry some excellent programming (mostly bought in from overseas but never mind!), some sort of commissioner needs to be appointed to get some balance inside both organisations, or at least a directive to concentrate on reporting the news – not making it, as in the Panama Papers fracas.

To carry on would only make these assets even less valuable in the future. Who would buy anything this out of control? We just want some impartiality!

Seriously, a threat to put TVNZ, RNZ and Maori TV (another tax payer funded anti establishment platform) into one big building in Palmerston North would shut them up in a heartbeat.

As their employers and on behalf of the vast majority of kiwis it is crazy for National to let this continue.

Interesting on Q+A it was stated that the PM has been turning down interviews by TVNZ and RNZ.

While the media are there to hold the Govt to account, perhaps these outlets lefty political interviewing style is coming home to roost with their funding masters.

JK has been very accommodating to this point but don’t bite the hand that feeds you comes to mind!

If Allah is supremely deceitful toward unbelievers, then there is little basis for denying that Muslims are allowed to do the same. (See also 8:30 and 10:21)

Umm, given that there are now no ‘real’ (‘pureblood’) Maori’s, exactly what is ‘Maori Culture’? It was put to me many years ago (by a ‘Maori’ BTW), that ‘Maori Culture is whatever ‘Maori’ decide it will be’ (as evidenced, for example, by the sudden declaration by local iwi that the Kaimanawa horses were taonga, despite the fact that Maori had no knowledge of the horse before the European arrived, and that locally the animals were being pests and previously only considered to be good for ‘dog tukka’ ).

So that we all know, can you define the term ‘Maori culture’ as you understand it?

By those standards, perhaps there is no pure culture anywhere in the world. All ethnicities have intermarried to some extent, while globalisation has eroded many cultural barriers.
But it is not hard to describe Maori culture – it is those elements that have remained distinctly Maori – language, customs and art that have survived the impact of colonisation.

Unfortunately, I would suggest that your definition is somewhat flawed for the following reasons:

Maori language now contains a very high number of ‘introduced (European) words which have been ‘maorified’, and, indeed ‘standard maori’ is a construct based on a dialect from a small iwi in the Bay of Plenty. Maori has never had the equivalent of the ‘Acadamie Francaise, to act as ‘language police’ and ensure linguistic purity.

Maori Customs: Inevitably these have been modified over time, with many dying out (religious practices being but one example) and modified (the haka), so on that basis (IMHO, successfully) it can be argued that these practices are not ‘as per original (ie, pre-European).

Maori Art: This has been seriously altered by European influence, with the introduction of paint and steel tools being but two examples where this has occurred. Under your criteria (and using carving as an example, although there are others) , the pre-European methods of using stone adzes and earth-based pigments should still be used. As you will be aware, they are not.

On the basis of the examples cited above (and there are others) it would appear that ‘original’ Maori culture is a somewhat-altered beast, and in many cases bears only a passing similarity to things as they were in Pre-European times.

This topic can be debated at length, but I’m not sure that doing-so will achieve any particular purpose. However, thank you for your reply. No doubt you will have additional thoughts in response to what I have written.

But more unfamiliar to some than others. Who would get the greater shock? An 1830s Maori chief, or a pre-Treaty white missionary or whaling skipper?

By the 1850s, the Maori chief might have still be able to live his traditional life in places like the King Country, but colonisation would have been well under way, bringing immense change. It was overwhelmingly one way, as you would have expected, given NZ’s isolation from the world for five or so centuries.

The aim of this article is to answer the claims made by Christian missionaries that Allah is a ‘deceiver’, and a ‘liar’, dealing with the word used in 8:58, 7:99 And 3:54. The verse we are going to examine is the following:

Transliteration:

Wamakaroo wamakara Allahu waAllahu khayru almakireena
Translation:

“And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners.” – Quran 3:54

The historical background for the verse is that the Jews ‘planned’ evil in order to get Jesus arrested and crucified. And Allah in the verse says as they planned evil, so too Allah planned to thwart their wicked plan. Christian missionaries have an issue with the words used for both the Jews and Allah. They prefer to translate this way:

“and [they] deceived and Allah deceived and Allah is the best of deceivers”

The above translation does not exist. It is only made up by crazy deluded missionaries in order to lead people astray. Arabic word(s) makr, Makara can be used negatively and for good. So when the Jews planned to get Jesus arrested and crucified, that was evil, whereas when Allah thwarted their evil plan by saving Jesus, this was good. So, the claim by missionaries that Allah is a deceiver for helping one of the Prophet’s from slaughter at the hands of evil, wicked people, these claims have no bearing on the passage historically…”

But it is valid to think of which change more, especially when you are contrasting a Maori culture that had been isolated from others for five or so centuries with a British culture that was vibrantly involved with others round the world.

I disagree – on many dimensions I’m probably more culturally attuned to a modern Norwegian than my great, great, great, great grandfather. I find it hard to find anything meaningful about the fact that “much of [a Maori from 1830] descendants’ everyday life would seem foreign to him”.

I would argue that quite a few important things have survived from Maori culture. To dismiss anything that has been modified by European contact seems to me to miss the point.
It would be like saying there is nothing left of British culture following the invasions of the Romans, Saxons, Vikings and Normans.

Former Judge Wade has a point but many people who do criticize judges are aware of the Sentencing Act. I agree there are problems with the Sentencing Act but also with some bad judges the worse ones being those who identity with professional often from a privilege background. In the worse cases the judge actually know someone he or she gives a soft sentence to. That is not illegal but it should be.

‘Blame Parliament, not judges’

Talking to the Herald on Sunday, retired District Court judge Roy Wade said many of the people who criticised penalties meted out in courts were “unaware of the Sentencing Act’s contents”.

“Don’t blame the judges, blame Parliament,” Wade said.

Cultures change and that is usually a healthy thing because usually they change for the better. A mixture of cultures often results in a blend which chooses the best of each. But that depends on the individual cultures being open to change. And when religions get involved it can be a different story. Much depends on the nature of the religion, how frozen and specific its dogma is and how accommodating it is to change and to others. Islam; with its unquestionable and extremely explicit text mandating sharia law, conquest of the world and suppression of other ideas and religions, murder of infidels, death of apostates, second class citizenship for women, slavery, genocide, stoning mutilation and other wonderfully authentic aspects of 7th century life, demonstrates the danger of importing advocates of a religion which is hostile to change.

Evidence of Coal-Fly-Ash Toxic Chemical Geoengineering in the Troposphere: Consequences for Public Health

Abstract: The widespread, intentional and increasingly frequent chemical emplacement in the troposphere has gone unidentified and unremarked in the scientific literature for years. The author presents evidence that toxic coal combustion fly ash is the most likely aerosolized particulate sprayed by tanker-jets for geoengineering, weather-modification and climate-modification purposes and describes some of the multifold consequences on public health. Two methods are employed: (1) Comparison of 8 elements analyzed in rainwater, leached from aerosolized particulates, with corresponding elements leached into water from coal fly ash in published laboratory experiments, and (2) Comparison of 14 elements analyzed in dust collected outdoors on a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter with corresponding elements analyzed in un-leached coal fly ash material. The results show: (1) the assemblage of elements in rainwater and in the corresponding experimental leachate are essentially identical. At a 99% confidence interval, they have identical means (T-test) and identical variances (F-test); and (2) the assemblage of elements in the HEPA dust and in the corresponding average un-leached coal fly ash are likewise essentially identical. The consequences on public health are profound, including exposure to a variety of toxic heavy metals, radioactive elements, and neurologically-implicated chemically mobile aluminum released by body moisture in situ after inhalation or through transdermal induction.

Obama pushes the “gender equality” equation in healthcare now as well.

The Obama administration is capping off a week of forcing Americans to accept gender ideology as normal with a final rule on Obamacare’s nondiscrimination policies in healthcare.

The rule will require physicians, hospitals, insurers, and other healthcare entities that receive federal funds — such as Medicare and Medicaid — to include gender transition treatments and even abortion among their services for the alleged sake of “equity.”

Family Research Council (FRC) voiced its opposition to the new rule: “Family Research Council is strongly opposed to the new Obamacare final rule mandating federally funded health care providers offer services that include gender transition and even abortion,” said FRC Vice President of Government Affairs David Christensen on Friday. “HHS’s final rule concocts out of thin air a redefinition of sex discrimination to include both gender identity and abortion.”

[Dr. Jane Orient, executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons] said that such a rule will lead conscientious doctors and hospitals to stop accepting Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements from the federal government in order to be free to conduct their medical practices using their own ethics and consciences as their guide.

“To preserve their integrity and avoid being an accessory to crimes against humanity, doctors and hospitals will have to turn down the government money,” she explained. “This will also free them from a suffocating burden of costly regulations, enabling them to offer superior care at a fraction of today’s prices–and to preserve patient privacy.”

It seems that we are now going to be forced to accept that a person can identify as any sex they like and will have the full weight of the law behind them to enforce that charade.
We will no longer be allowed to trust our own eyes, yes that wimin might have an Adams apple, ‘she’ may well have a very deep voice and a penis but you must not under any circumstances call her a man. Apparently this is necessary because these freaks have always wanted to be a member of the opposite sex and to deny them the chance to live as a member of the opposite sex that is cruel.

So, if its good enough for cross dressers then surely its good enough for the rest of us, accordingly from today I now ‘identify’ as being 6 foot 5. I always wanted to be that tall and to deny me that right is cruel. Yes it will still be obvious that I am 6 inches shorter than that, yes it is clear that I am nowhere near 6 foot 5 but that does not matter, you will all treat me as such and should any of you address me in a fashion that does not reinforce my new height then I will charge you with being a bigot.
