Classy

The Chinese Americans who captured alleged killer Nai Yin Xue, have decided to donate most of the $10,000 reward money to his daughter Qian Xun.

That is so very classy. Especially as from all accounts none of the captors are well off themselves.

Caught by “his own people”

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 at 1:53 pm

One of the TV bulletins (can’t recall which) reported how Nai Yin Xue was caught by “his own people”.

This got me wondering.  Was he caught be a family member of his?

If not, then what did TV news mean?

And what is so unusual about being caught by people of your own race?  Is there some reason viewers should think it is unusual for Chinese people to turn in a Chinese murderer?

Nai Yin Xue caught

Friday, February 29th, 2008 at 10:51 am

Stuff reports:

Commander Tom Hession of the US Marshals confirmed to Radio New Zealand’s Nine to Noon programme that he was apprehended at approximately 8.30am.

Nai Yin Xue, 54, is wanted in connection with the death of his wife, Anan Liu, 27, whose body was found in the boot of a car outside their Mount Roskill home on 18 September. He took their three-year-old child from Auckland to Melbourne on 13 September then abandoned Qian Xun Xue - known as ‘Pumpkin’ - at the Southern Cross railway station in Melbourne on 15 September.

That’s great news.
