The HoS reports:

Broadcaster Tony Veitch is under fire after he accused disgraced golfer Tiger Woods of trying to stage-manage his way out of trouble.

During an interview with agent and former All Black Andy Hayden on Radio Sport, Veitch criticised Woods for avoiding direct questions from the media. …

Speaking about Woods before the golfer’s public apology, Veitch said: “The world wants answers. “He’s going to be surrounded by good friends and family for this announcement tomorrow morning. This is simply going to be a pre-orchestrated, pre-read statement and he is not going to front up to the questions.”

Veitch was forced to resign high-profile radio and television roles after reports surfaced that he had assaulted his former partner Kristin Dunne-Powell.

His first public response to these charges was a press conference at Auckland’s Hyatt hotel where he delivered a prepared statement and apology but answered no questions.

Tony, Tony, Tony. You were doing so well back on air. But really – what is that old saying about stones and glasshouses.

Bad Taste Quote

The SMH reports:

“God bless Tiger,” Yahoo chief executive Carol Bartz told a conference this week, adding that all of the main Yahoo news sections got a “huge uplift” from the story.

“It is better than Michael Jackson dying; it is kind of hard to put an ad next to a funeral.”

Now that is an unfortunate quote.

The Herald reports:

News reports now push the total to 10 women linking themselves to Woods in the wake of his one-car crash, more details of which emerged today with an unidentified witness saying that Woods had been drinking alcohol earlier in the day.

And who are the ten:

  1. New York club hostess Rachel Uchitel
  2. Cori Rist, a 31-year-old divorced mother
  3. former porn star, Holly Sampson
  4. Cocktail waitress Jamiee Grubbs, 24
  5. Kalika Moquin, 27, a Las Vegas club manager
  6. model Jamie Jungers, 26
  7. Mindy Lawton, a 33-year-old waitress from Orlando
  8. three unidentified women, two from British reports and another waitress from Orlando

What is it with all that waitresses?

This is Holly Sampson. Her latest flick is Descent into Bondage (2008).

If they do a film about Tiger Woods, I wonder if they’ll get Charlie Sheen to be the lead actor!

Naughty Tiger

News.com.au reports:

GOLF superstar Tiger Woods has admitted “transgressions” saying he had let his family down, in a statement posted on his website that appeared to confirm rumours of an extramarital affair.

A famous person having an affair is hardly unusual, but this case has generated considerable discussion, as his wife, Elin Nordegren, is a beautiful model in her 20s.

Greer McDonald asks the question of whether monogamy is natural:

Do you think that the majority have just been taught that monogamy is the right and only way, and that it’s actually “natural” to want – and be with – more than one person?

Or is it in the human nature to be coupled up and be okay with that?

For my 2c I think that the vast majority of guys are attracted to other women, even if in a happy relationship. However that does not mean you act on the attraction.
