So Trevor is talking about MP’s being chucked out at question time. Simon Bridges and Nick Smith were chucked out the most and he considered that Winston should have been chucked out more often but said “Winston Peters probably gets away with a bit because he manages to be naughty with a smile, rather than anger”.

Read that any way you like. I have my take on it.

  Mallard is a bully, and constantly pre-judges situations. Michael Woodhouse called him out on it last week, when Mallard claimed to know what Woodhouse was thinking.
  
  He seems to have an almost pathological hatred of Nick Smith that clouds his judgment. The same applied with Bridges, although to a slightly lesser extent. Even if Labour wins the next election they need to find a new Speaker; Mallard is temperamentally unsuited to the role.

    Yes. How they thought it would work out is beyond me. Putting the cat in charge of the pidgeons.
    to begin with I thought it might work out. After all he knows how the system works being punished and thrown out enough himself, but he can’t keep out of it. And still holds real grudges with people like Smith and also Gerry Brownlee. His running defence for Ardern to begin with was outrageous.

    Yes he is, as you say, a bully. When he scraped in as speaker (remember the debacle of his own party, misjudging the numbers) I thought, after many years of calling him for what he is and represents, I would give him the benefit of the doubt in his role as speaker..I shouldn’t have wasted my time, he just reverts to his normal bullying and obnoxious self.
    He has been a disgrace from the day he set foot into the institution.

Is a process by which a major change can be accepted if it happens slowly through small often unnoticeable increments of change .The change could otherwise be regarded as objectionable if it took place in a single step or short period.
Yes under the Peters selected “Auntie Cindy Ardern Communist/Socialist be “Kind” tactics NZ and all NZs are on a slippery slope as the country is fast becoming the “Socialist Republic of the South Pacific” . Maybe even emulating Venezuela or Cuba, or even worse North Korea.How frightening for the good people of NZ who don’t deserve the type of control by a certain person who suffers from “Narcissistic Personality Disorder”.

  I agree the government will stuff it up, but I don’t feel sorry for the organics industry. They created their entire industry on the falsehood that it is healthier for people, and better for the environment – when the science doesn’t back it up. Organic food production is lower productivity and less efficient than conventional agriculture. To make a profit they have to denigrate modern agriculture and make false claims to drive a margin.     The longevity of organic farming is simply a fallacy. if youre extracting/exporting products of the farm its unsustainable and imported nutrients etc are needed and will organics in a niche market can do this in a sustainable way it is impossible to maintain on even a medium scale. we would literaly need organic farms to produce organic fertilizer (compost etc) and to feed a population on a national or global scale is totally impossible.
    
    im all for the reduction of inputs and in particular the variety of dangerous agrichemicals, fertilizer will always be needed but needs to be done in more sensible ways to get higher utilization.
    
    3 years of broadacre cropping mainly as a spray operator and the mind boggles at the chemicals we poison our land and food with, dairy is nz percieved devil but far worse is going on in the arable and horticultural sectors believe me youll never eat a cereal product or green produce again if you witness first hand.

Did anyone see the story on one news last night about the Police and guns, and in particular, the woman who referred to Police dogs as “four-legged killing machines”?

I guess when you’re dealing with two-legged killing machines, gangs, and people who threaten politicians’ lives, it’s good to have some back-up. I applaud the work of Police dog teams right around the country; some of the most dedicated officers you could ever want to meet.

    You dont die from getting your arm or leg chewed. Thats what police dogs are trained to do. Now the RAF attack dogs of which I ran 60 at one time would attack the head, because thats what they were trained to do! I even had my pet an ex RAK retreiver of large size that if it was trained to take your throat if it was on a chain. Mind you we were guarding Nuclear weapons.

      Rockape, you would have been guarding RAF nuclear weapons before 1998, when Britain withdrew its tactical nuclear weapons.
      
      Now Britain’s nuclear weapons are Trident II missiles fired from Royal Navy submarines, and the weapons are guarded by Royal Marine commandos.
      
      I guess those RAF dogs wouldn’t be re-homed with families when they reached retirement age.

    Having had experience with many dogs note that these are animals descended from wolves.
    Given the right opportunity any dog will kill.
    They do not know right or wrong ,, just their genetic program.
    It takes very skilled training to control these animals.
    Too many NZ dogs are attributed human characteristics.

However if the rumours are true regarding her relationship status the PMs office will need to up the spin to cover up the situation and they will be challenged by the election. Pre the election media usually pump out happy family stories for all leaders. Then upon winning the PM and Partner turn up on the stage for photos. The news media will know the truth. I sense they will not want to upset Dear Leader by mentioning the partner at all. It would be revealing if media choose not to avoid the happy family stories for all party leaders pre election.         Bridges is a selfish nasty little person that wanted only what was best for himself. Muller is a person of integrity who did the unpopular but necessary thing for the good of the party and the country. Sure, he gets what he wants as well, and Bridges was unable to stop him.
        
        What has he done well? His very first speech, where he said he’d focus on what was best for NZ, not what’s wrong with the government. He has positioned National as the safe economic stewards to get us out of the mess that COVID put us in. I think he’s made a fair start, but the election’s not until September.

There exists a publication online called “MURDER AT PIKE RIVER MINE?” and to perhaps give it some context, it was reading recommended by late activist Penny Bright, on her Watchdog website.
I do not believe what it proposes is true, but I do wonder if some people do, to some degree.

But whether “MURDER AT PIKE RIVER MINE?” is regarded as valid, or is fully questionable, it is known that Pike River “family members” are aware of this “publication” . However there is no direct public indication of their interest or belief of its content, nor is there any gauge of the credibly it has – either fully, partially possible, or not at all – in the opinion that Winston Peters or Andrew Little may place in the same material – it being assumed that Pike families will have discussed it with them. (It could explain Winston’s interest if he thinks to some degree or other he has discovered another Wine Box Case)

So now in terms of recovery of human remains, Little said he has always maintained there is a very low probability of recovery. “I would put it as more than remote – but it is very low.”

Instead The minister in charge of the Pike River Mine recovery effort, Andrew Little, says it is “just impractical” to expect the remains of all of the fallen miners to be recovered.
Instead, the re-entry efforts are now essentially solely focused on gathering evidence in the “homicide of 29 men”
He likened the recovery efforts to a police homicide investigation – “which is effectively what this is”.

  I think the whole open cast idea is a myth. My understanding is that while open cast has never been seriously looked at – it is simply not economic at Pike. Plus of course you would not and should not ever get permission for that in a National Park.

    My understanding is the tunnel they are “recovering” was plan B or C and not what was originally intended. I wouldve thought a road would be easier to construct then tunneling through rock?

    Muller says this election is too important as the recovery can’t be left to the incompetent COL cabinet. While undoubtedly true, that argument is going to be hard to sell if the choice is between a popular figure and Mr Nobody supported by his largely unknown but allegedly very competent shadow ministers.

The AM Show host Duncan Garner has a daughter at Marist College who he said is one of the students involved in the school’s Black Lives Matter movement.

Garner said the school overreacted to the posters being put up.

  I know people at the school. terrible situation being dragged through the press after having the covid thing happen. Principals only been there a short while. The problem was not the posters or content but that they didn’t want to talk to senior pupil leaders or management at the school about putting them up, where etc. not about the posters but basic manners and following rules. Duncan Garners daughter being involved surely inflamed things. But he is apparently not even allowed on school grounds. I hope this dies down and the school can go back to work. the idea any of these kids are some sort of freedom fighting martyrs is plain wrong.

I was looking at the John Hopkins website on the world’s coronavirus cases and deaths this morning. Given the dreadful contagion that is happening now in parts of the second and third world, India, Russia, Brazil, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, the rest of Africa, Latin America, etc, where robust testing regimes and medical care is often patchy at best or currently unavailable for most with coronavirus, it is clear that we are now well over 1 million deaths from the virus and counting.

It is a dreadful situation.

Hospitals in New Dehli are overwhelmed at the moment, and patients are simply turned away. Families cannot get medical care for their sick family members at all. Which means that sadly, many of these will die.

It is very distressing for all concerned. And this tragic situation is being played out all across the subcontinent as we speak.

And of course, it goes without saying what is happening to the poor there and around the world. And their deaths and their positive cases for the virus are simply never officially recorded.

I fear we may end up with 3 to 4 even 5 million deaths globally by the time this thing has burnt itself out, or we have a vaccine.

  What savings? Unless they are financial institutions themselves, they do not have large piles of uncommitted liquid resources. There is always next months bills to pay. What happens when the customers don’t pay you? Business can slow down or drastically drop off too. Then competition may price new contracts at zero margins above outlay costs. That affects the whole industry as low or nil margins allow no room for any further risks.
  A pile of cash on hand for many businesses is their assurance of continuity for the next three months.

    Slavery is abhorrent to us (westerners) now, but it continues to be accepted in some areas.
    
    Saying it is a value judgement does not mean slavery is not wrong. Applying the values of today we see slavery as being wrong. We should rout it out and we should revere those that helped defeat it.
    
    200 years ago there was widespread slavery practiced by many cultures and it was not thought wrong. It was just accepted as part of the human condition.

    If people are really getting bent out of shape by slavery (and I think they should be), then why worry about a place and time we cannot do anything about (ie. 200 years ago). time for a radical overhaul of governence and its ways in NZ.
there must be a better way to elect our REPRESENTATIVES (not free thinking muppets) and we need decent controls and measures to hold them to account… like actual accountablity not a sad face and hollow apology.

we need to end career politicians or at least performance based pay, we need to rid empty promises and bribes and exchange for real and logical action backed by actual facts stats and data not cherry picked biased crap to back up claims.

what are your suggestions?

Could it be a simple term limit, say an mp has 6yrs they can be elible. would that be motivation to get shit done and end the pandering and empty promises to keep a snout in the trough?
What about ridding half the seats in parliament from career politicians and ballot us sorition process to select the remainder from a pool of ppl from all walks of life?

    a ballot for any that throw their hat in the ring you could be an ex mp, house wife, teacher or a bum etc would be voluntry entry open to any legal citizen of nz.
    
    Personally id like a full sorition style selection e.g same as jury duty if youre on the electoral roll and eligible to vote if your names drawn you have 3yrs service to your country.
    
    pay them well and gaurantee their current job position will remain open so they can return to previous life and career.
    
    would obviously still need at least some career politicians who know how processes work but the selected joe public would be a great way to hold them to account for things that matter to real street level kiwis.
    
    even 1/4- 1/3 of parliament selected this way would have ACTUAL power to the people, sure there will be lots of differing views but the collective between them would get a far clearer picture of whats good bad and fair. they dont have to worry about re election so back handers and corruption would decline.
    many lobby groups have backroom deals for policy= votes or donations. the glaringly obvious right now is fishing forestry racing with nz1st. farming and foreign investment with national. unions and UN influence etc for labour. greenpeace potheads and twig n tweet for greens
    im sure Act will have some too but in general they are probably the least influenced of the main party groups.
    
    theres drawbacks for any system but god there must be a better way.

  We have no review mechanism: the Courts cannot oversee Parliament. The Queen has NZ among her realm but will not intervene. We are only left with triennial ~~elections~~ selections.
  
  Tighten the rules about candidature. A minimum age of 40 would be starter or a minimum personal net worth of $250K.
  List MP’s must go. Better to FPP. The function of Parliament is Executive Government not a Student Union Debating Society.
  The representatives do not need to cover all the diverse social threads possible. The regional candidates give a good spread of practical community concerns. They are less inclined to favour wetas against workers. Being a small country all those many interests will bubble up anyway and those who have the capacity to be executives can decide harmoniously how to provide for them if merited.
  
  There is no point in having proportional representation in Parliament for concerns not directly relevant to practical governance. Every member needs experience of how their world works.

    I would be quite happy with the minimum age being set at 25, but setting a minimum personal net worth figure is not a goer; it is elitist, and would exclude many fine people, for whom the acquisition of significant personal wealth is not the most important goal in life, from serving as an MP.
    
    The $300 deposit has been in place since 1993. That should be raised to $1,000, and the number of nominators each electorate candidate needs to have, should be raised from two, to at least 10.

      My interest’s are fairly modest. I want a parliament that can get things done, one that can discern between light rail and trams and their modern replacement, buses, one that can build infrastructure and see that a thriving economy is promoted so a good living for all the citizens is possible and one that provides reasonably for those unable to care for themselves–a frugal social welfare state. (Taxpayers still have to live.)
      
      I’m not particularly fond of elites. Many of the present generation seem to have left the humanity behind to worship money. My reason for an asset test to only to prove accomplishment and through that indirectly ability. That has been a classic test.
      
      I’m happy to consider other choices but I expect honesty/integrity and capability in any appointments to high office. That would apply to all MP’s.
      Your advocacy of TPV has got me interested. We must have a change and List MP’s must go. Those seeking to be MP’s must show themselves to the voters before they occupy seats and then prove they’re mutes and incompetent as well. The current COL benches are a shocker. How far can representation go before the statistical attraction to the mean brings mediocrity. The selection of people to Govern needs to be from the right hand tail of the population ability. The alternative is to include the senile, infirm, druggies, morons–where’s the cutoff? Proven ability is a safeguard although not a performance guarantee.
      
      If Parliament is to cover the full spectrum of human views it can never govern. It will be taken over by the machinations of those who would suppress freedom for their own ideologies. That may already be too late to fix.

        Ah, that’s more like it, although I’m still concerned that you consider a person’s worth to be commensurate with their wealth – that’s still essentially what you’re saying.
        
        Fortunately, it is not possible for any parliament, no matter how large, or how its members are elected, to cover the full spectrum of human views. For example, with STV (single transferable vote), if an electoral district consisted of, say, 10 seats (Quota = 9.091%, i.e., 100 / 11), and there are 40 candidates, the 40 unequal groups of voters get reduced to 10 nearly equal opinion groups, each group with its own representative.* Those representatives might be 4 National, 3 Labour, 1 Green, 1 ACT, and 1 Independent (“local hero”).
        
        * The 11th, unsuccessful group, comprising 9.090% of the voters, whose votes accumulated upon the runner-up candidate, get nothing. (In 2017, in Wairarapa, the National candidate, Alistair Scott, won with 41.40% of the vote, meaning 58.60% of the voters got nothing.)
        
        In voting, different voters may attach different weight to several criteria simultaneously. STV gives proportional representation of this opinion structure of the electorate with an accuracy dependent only on the number of representatives simultaneously elected. STV gives freedom of choice to voters and ensures, as far as possible, that that choice is satisfied and not distorted or frustrated.
        
        Nearly every person who votes has an equal effect on the result and is directly represented by someone whom he or she has helped to elect.
        
        STV ensures that the best candidates on offer, in the collective opinion of those voting, are elected, and that the lesser lights are rejected. For example, in my scenario in the second paragraph, above, where National had, say, 42% support (and therefore could only get four candidates elected (4 x 9.091% = 36.364%), but gave their supporters a choice of 7 candidates from which to choose), that would mean that the three least-favoured of National’s candidates, were rejected.
        
        I would suggest that, in a representative democracy, it would be pretty hard to get much better than that.

      The main flaw with MMP as far as I’m concerned is that the party with the majority vote does not get the opportunity to form a coalition. It should never be the role of a small minority party, ever.
      We all know that this would have resulted in a National-led government after 2017, and it would have been a fair outcome. As it is, the majority of voters were ignored, and that is (still) manifestly unfair.

        But National (the party with the largest minority of the vote) did get the opportunity “to form a coalition” after the last election. NZ First negotiated with both National and Labour, but, presumably, Labour was prepared to give more than National was, so Winston chose Jacinda.
        
        If the electoral law specifically required National to kick off the negotiations, how would the outcome have been any different? Who would National have teamed up with to enable Bill to say to the Governor-General, “I command a majority in the House”? Answer: no-one. It was Winston, or bust.

  As I have been saying here for nearly seven years now, MPs should be elected by STV (without Party boxes) in large) )) multimember electoral districts.
  
  Very briefly: all MPs would be directly elected; you can vote against sitting MPs without voting against your party, i.e., safe seats for parties, but not necessarily for individual MPs – there would be at least one marginal seat in each multimember electorate.
  
  Consequently, STV (in large electorates) gives a very high degree of voter choice, along with a high degree of proportionality, not only of parties, but also of other groupings that matter to voters. Independents / “local heroes” also have a realistic chance of being elected.
  
  Regarding the notion that some MPs could be selected by sortition. Not a good idea.
  
  There would have to be exemptions from the selection process (as with the jury system). How long would people, some (many?) of whom would not really want to be required to abandon their lives / families, pastimes, etc., to be an MP, be required to serve? One term? Two? One year!?
  
  Do we want a large slice of parliament to consist of inexperienced amateurs, many of whom would prefer to be somewhere else? Or, as with the jury system, consisting predominantly of people who are retired, or who couldn’t come up with a good enough reason to “get out of it”?
  
  The only alternative to MMP is STV.

      STV is a realistic change to the way we elect MPs, although it must be said that MMP is here to stay – at least for another generation.
      
      As far as I’m aware, sortition is not used anywhere to select members of public bodies. Should you set out on it, you will find the road to sortition will be long and hard, and, ultimately, your efforts will almost certainly be unsuccessful.

        In the UK, the Electoral Reform Society has been trying to get the House of Commons elected by STV since 1884! They hoped to succeed by 1885, when FPP was adopted, but are no closer to success now than they were then.

      Like everything in life, STV, too, has developed, and been greatly improved, over time. (You might recall last December, I posted that today, being 17 December, was STV’s 200th birthday.)
      
      I recommend the version of STV that I (along with others) fought long and hard to get, between 1992 and 2001 – STV by Meek’s method, which is the method used to elect some local councils (and the Greater Wellington Regional Council), and seven members of each of our 20 DHBs.
      
      New Zealand was the first country in the world to adopt the Meek version of STV for public elections. Meek’s method uses the power of computers to treat every vote cast in an identical manner, i.e., scrupulously fairly. With Meek’s method, a proportion of every vote that got a candidate up over the quota, is transferred to the next-available-preference candidate.
      
      With hand-counting rules, the last parcel of votes only, that put a candidate up over the quota, are transferred to next-preference candidates. That is a necessary short-cut that, nevertheless, introduces the unequal treatment of votes into the count.
      
      Okay, the mathematics. Obviously, if you put ‘Single Transferable Vote’ into Wikipedia, you will see articles that explain the various methods. You will also see a comment there somewhere, to the effect that New Zealand has adopted the best method of STV (Meek’s method) for some public elections.
      
      I think it best that I refer you to my papers, at https://dunedinstadium.wordpress.com/2010/08/26/in-defence-of-stv-2/. Scroll down to the bottom of the article and you will see links to six papers, the first five of which are my mentor’s – the late Dr I. D. (David) Hill (who was a former Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Electoral Reform Society in the UK) – / mine. I recommend you read the third and fifth papers (in that order) first, then the others if you’re interested. Those two papers set out the mathematics of Meek’s method in an easily understandable way, the fifth paper doing so using an actual election (Cargill Ward 2004).

Winston Peters is reminding voters his party’s politics are very different from Labour’s.

Any deal outside of Cabinet should have been an anathema to Winston – considering the condemnation of UNSC Resolution 2334 that Winston insisted be a point in the Coalition Agreement – but Winston supposedly negotiated the ban on future oil and gas exploration, with Ardern and Shaw initially outside of Cabinet, to ensure the passing of his paranoiac waka-jumping law.

So where does Winston now stand on gas exploration?
That was one of Jacinda’s Captain calls – although it could not have been quite as impulsive as some, because time and expense was taken to prepare enormous placards and t-shirts in Labour format, lessening the importance of Greenpeace, and making the acceptance of the “petition” on Parliaments steps an all-Labour affair, for which Ardern held-up a state luncheon, while she attende to the “petition”.

However the ban on future oil and gas exploration now a Labour / New Zealand First / Green policy set in law.
Or, as National says they will reverse it, will New Zealand First do the same?

How would Winston now match National policy on this matter, when Winston has signed away any future gas exploration?

With election around the corner and Winston Peters supposedly reminding voters that New Zealand First’s policies are very different from Labour’s, is he going to give us a list of the differences.
Which of those previous differences, like gas exploration, are not now law?

Winston shouldn’t just say differences from Labour are there – he should name one, even two.

Is forestry and the future purpose of this resource the next major problem/focus for NZ Governments?
Whether or not pine forests will be harvested in the future is becoming an ever more frequent conversation in the industry.
Using trees as carbon sinks is high in green party considerations, but, as with all upside details there is a down side. I was reading about concerns raised by Gisborne forestry experts on future concerns for their region.
Obviously, employment was a major consideration as trees that a grown to be logged, at a later date, are an ongoing labour source. Planting, Pruning and, eventually, being harvested.
After harvesting, there is transportation and work loading them for shipment or timber possessing.
On the East Coast this is an important part of the economy.
If they are only used for ‘carbon capture’ almost all of the employment disappears. Unlike the trees which eventually present a problem similar to the wilding pine problem in the south island.

A lot of the comments made must surely be outside of the boundaries acceptable behaviour in the House.
The Opposition have no comeback other than interjection, which stops Trevor hearing the answer.

I know the old saying goes if you pay peanuts you get monkeys but after seeing how many staff in Auckland City Council and now ChristChurch City Council are paid to do their job it seems that this is also a factor for rates increases and building consents costs and they wonder why the public are not happy.

In April 1920, in New Zealand, three Labour Party MP’s sent a telegram to the Prime Minister of the day, Massey, asking that “steps be immediately taken to deal with the menace” of an “alarming influx of Asiatics and other classes of cheap labour…”

These Labour Party MP’s argued that this influx involved “the lowering of the living standards of our people, as well as the probable deterioration in the physical standard of all races mixing indiscriminately. . .”

One of those MP’s also had some very interesting comments reported in the Hansard of the day in 1920.

“It is a problem that involves the intermixing of the races and the very law of life itself” [HANSARD Parliamentary Debate v.186 1920 pg 216]

“I do not think we want a piebald New Zealand any more than India wants a piebald India. We are very much concerned about our race. We never seem to appreciate the fact that the other race is just as much concerned about theirs. Anyway, there is no one going to deny the fact that the indiscriminate introduction of Asiatics to this country is not going to be in the best interests of this country.” [HANSARD Parliamentary Debate v 186 1920, pg 216,271]

Matt Walsh makes the point that it’s not white privilege or black privilege being demonstrated worldwide at the moment, put Left Privilege.

It seems to me that the greatest privilege on offer in our culture today is the privilege to be utterly immune from the law. This is the privilege exercised by many of the “protesters.” And though some of them are white males, many are not. It is, then, a privilege that is not dispensed based on race, but on ideology. We might call it Leftist Privilege. A person with the “correct” worldview, especially if he is gathered with a group of other correct-thinking people, can do almost anything he wants. The Powers That Be will bend over backwards to accommodate him and meet his demands.

This includes permitting crime, but also much else besides. Consider all of the corporations and brands that have been tripping over each other to express their support for the radical left-wing Black Lives Matter organization. And it doesn’t always take a mob to get this kind of capitulation from our culture’s most powerful forces. HBO’s streaming service pulled “Gone With The Wind” from its platform this week after one correct-thinking individual wrote an op-ed instructing them to do so. This on the same day that Webster’s dictionary edited its definition of “racism” because a young black woman emailed and said they should. These are just the most recent examples of Leftist Privilege.

As a white man, I have not seen doors open for me, or exceptions made for me, or advantages given to me, just based on my race. In order to obtain those privileges, I must demonstrate my allegiance to the leftist tribe. I must have the “right” views, say the “right” things, hold the “right” opinions and beliefs. This is what the system truly demands, and this is how it grants privilege. Which is no surprise. Leftist long ago seized control of the system. Privilege is simply one of the spoils of victory.

* Auckland politicians begin a diplomatic mission into Waikato on Friday over the role of the Waikato River in solving the drought-hit city’s immediate and longer-term needs for water.

The country’s biggest city is in the grip of unprecedented drought, and the Waikato River feed which began in 2002 is now providing 38 per cent of Auckland’s needs, as its own storage dams deplete.

A double-figure delegation, led by Auckland Mayor Phil Goff and the CEO of the Watercare, will first meet representatives of Hamilton City Council, which may offer Auckland, surplus river water.*

  That [Deleted – Mod] knows more about bananas than he knows about local authorities. He does not realise that the Waikato Regional Council polices the Waikato River and that Hamilton City Council is merely one of several local body authorities within the Waikato Region.

I think too much is being made of these satellite images. One thing is that the car park in the far top corner is not complete is 2018, the other thing is the angle of the image means that in the 2018 photo it’s not showing behind the buildings and the front of them as the 2019one is

Rather than taking down the statue of Hamilton I would prefer we put up a few more statues of those he fought against. Hamilton died at Gate Pa. How about putting a statue of Rawiri Puhirake, the influential Maori leader who also died in that battle, standing next to him. These characters from our history were none of them saints. Yet I’d rather they were remembered warts and all rather than trying to memory hole them. But of we are going to do that then we really should have the whole collection.
