RESISTANCE BRAINSTORMING EXERCISE
I am aware of the following being done by the (pro-human rights) resistance movement:
* Attending protests
* Supporting Legal action such as Oliver MMA, Grounded Kiwis
* Networking and sharing of information
* Websites for pro choice friendly / non-discriminatory businesses (accomodation, cafes etc)
* Social media debate
* Sowing seeds of doubt with the shell shocked
* Countering the barrage of C-19 fear and intimidation with facts that inspire optimism and courage
* Promotion of the importance of physical, mental, spiritual healthiness
* Asking GP’s if the treatment plan they will use for C-19 is based on the international best practice and if yes what is this?
* Not wearing or minimising use of masks, in an Auckland mall this is a real counter psy-op
* Refusing to participate in the vaccine pass system
* Letters to opposition MPs pointing out the discrimination and division and asking them where they stand in the fight against tyranny
* Letters of encouragement to people who oppose the narrative of control, particularly where the MSM attack dogs go them e.g. Hipango, Tamaki etc
* Letters to businesses zealously implementing mandatory vaccination to advise them you won’t be shopping with them

If you are part of the resistance, anti-mandates and want the restoration of the full bill of human rights in NZ as soon as possible, what other positive, peaceful actions can you suggest to help achieve this?

  Pineapple lumps – a well written piece. Like you I hunger for alternative coverage of covid. Alternative perspectives so the people can truly understand what is going on?
  Does the average kiwi know that the virus is fatal to those who are elderly and have major comorbidities? In other words they are old and sick?
  
  What treatments are truly effective? For example does ivermectin work?
  
  Why vaccinate kids when they are at almost zero risk from covid?
  
  Given omnicron is way less severe can we rule out lockdowns?
  
  The thing is that the government is controlling the narrative and resistance is being quelled under the weight of continual media propoganda.
  We do need a resistance to covid tyranny.
  Lastly what is the point of this massive discrimination of the unvaxxed when the vast majority of people are vaccinated?

    I went into a garden supplies centre yesterday and genuinely forgot to put my mask on. I got yelled at by staff despite the fact the centre was mainly open air with a very strong wind sweeping through the covered bits. I had planned to spend a decent amount of money but left and went somewhere else. Will never go back there.

      Went to Pak ‘n Save and Bunnings yesterday without a mask. I wasn’t the only ne not wearing a mask.
      No staff, Karens or Kevins yelling at me.

      This illustrates one key point: you’re going to have to get comfortable with the idea of feeling uncomfortable, as it were, and consistently putting yourself in situations that are socially stressful and confrontational. Whether it’s getting yelled at by some irate Covidian for not wearing a mask (and refusing to submit) or being expected by your employer to get your proposed 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th ineffectual booster shot in order to go to work (and refusing to submit), you’re going to have to sacrifice your cozy state of comfortable compliance, because if you don’t, nothing will change and everything will in fact escalate. On the plus side, non-compliance is great for the soul, as it makes one feel human as opposed to a compliant unit of livestock.

      I don’t wear a mask because I have an exemption. However, the only person who has questioned me was the local butcher.
      
      I know one of the supervisors at the local Countdown and she said they couldn’t care less whether you wear a mask. The big problem they have is customers complaining about other customers not wearing one. Typical.
      
      Also why the hell people are still bothering to ‘scan in’ using the tracer app is totally beyond me. It just reinforces my view that we really are a nation of sheep.

        I have never scanned in anywhere and don’t intend to. A couple of times when I have been watched I have just taken a photo, the watcher was none the wiser.

  Complain. Got told very abruptly by a bus driver that a scarf was not a mask. I politely informed him it was a legal face covering, made a note of time, place and bus number and emailed the bus company to sort out their training. Company said they would follow up.
  
  Same bus driver barked MASK! at passengers getting on without one.

    I’m fully part of the resistance but I have some sympathy for the bus driver. Generally they are not academic in any way and their only source of “truth” is the TV. He’s most probably scared shi*less by unmasked people.

      Steve – there are a number of grounds to claim mask exemption – Voices for freedom have great info on this. The Government has made stores, organisation’s etc responsible for confirming you are exempt. So if asked we need to be confident and polite – “Thank-you for asking, I understand you are required to confirm why I am not wearing a mask. I am exempt – this is on medical grounds which you will understand is a private matter between my me and my medical advisor.”
      
      They have no responsibility or authority beyond this.
      
      If they push harder I would then have the MOH website handy to show them they have fulfilled their responsibility.

        Shit, I have had jerks come up to me when loading groceries into the back of the car – with no mask.
        I can not remove my mask until I am in the car with the door and window closed?

      If in fact there has been a decline in the number of posts about the vaccine being ineffective, which is not the impression I get, then it’s probably for the same reason that there are hardly any posts claiming that we don’t live in a heliocentric solar system: it is beyond dispute, and nobody can credibly maintain otherwise. Even the Pfizer CEO has admitted on camera that two shots of Pfizer “offers very little protection, if any.”
      
      On this basis, Harlequin’s claim above that “today 92.4% of the population are double vaccinated” means in the real world that 92.4% of the population have very little if any protection against Covid.

        According to the mass formation science about 40% of people across all socio-economic groups, all ages and all IQ levels, have fallen prey to the propaganda. They see it as THE solution to their anxiety over covid. So giving them data that contradicts THE solution brings back their anxiety, so they resist that. You can show them all the data you like and they will completely ignore it.
        
        This is why even most doctors are going along with it.
        
        It’s too late, every country in the whole world has its 40% of its population succumbed to this hypnosis. Whomever is ever going to awaken has already awoken, we just have to see what happens next.

    I understand your sentiment about how New Zealanders of sub-par intelligence are encouraged to “think”, and I agree, but Brian Tamaki isn’t a nutter: he is one of the few public figures who isn’t a weak and spineless “yes man” who is too pathetic and scared to do or say anything that might affect their career progression. So they sell out the entire population. It costs nothing to go with the crowd. In the last couple of years, all New Zealand politicians have been weighed in the balance, and nearly all have been found to be seriously wanting.

  You don’t need to try and convert people. If you do you will fail. All you have to do is show that people like you exist. If someone reacts angrily, just smile and agree to disagree. Their reaction shows that your message is reaching them at an emotional level.

  I am proud to say I have resisted every waking hour since early December. Segregation quite frankly, is not the Kiwi way. And neither is having to show some farcical vax pass to get around in everyday life. I demask when I can, this is a highly visible act. When will our freedoms be fully and unequivocally be restored? Well, we don’t accept the permission of our political class is necessary for this. Freedom will be restored fully, when we, the proud citizens of NZ take it back! Let there be no misunderstanding. We are in the process of taking our freedom back! Our numbers are growing by the day. The political class and their media enablers and other cronies are put, on the most urgent notice!     An employer I know sent out a survey form to all its employees to vote on whether they should allow the unvaccinated workers and unvaccinated children under 16 into the office:
    
    – 70% voted no on allowing unvaccinated workers into the office
    – 85% voted yes on allowing unvaccinated children under 16 into the office.
    
    It appears that these workers believe that unvaccinated children cannot spread the virus!

    As unjabbed parents of an unjabbed child I am happy to report that we knew early where this was headed and took the required steps to remove our child from the education system. At first, not an easy decision or one taken lightly, but as events have unfolded and the screws have tightened, we as parents are now very comfortable with our decision. In fact, we can’t believe we initially had some doubt.
    
    Actions taken by this government are without doubt going to harm many children, physically but above all, mentally. For no gain other than political point scoring. If it was about health it should be simple to produce a risk/benefit analysis. There has never been one, not even for the adult population.
    That is an abominable situation and disgusting behaviour by any and all involved.
    
    Brenda receiving yet more international coverage, this time from el gato malo. A deceptively prescient blogger who does excellent statistical and political analysis.

      Perspective is important, and perspectives are apt to change as events develop. The holier than thou pro-vaxxers, safe as they feel they are within the refuge of the crowd, will soon be seen like a Neville Chamberlain, waiving his piece of paper proclaiming “peace in our time.” A few years later, he was shown to be a naive buffoon, who is not regarded well by posterity. In fact, he is the paradigm historical case of a shift in perspective.
      
      The sceptics and dissenters are on the right side of history, of that I have no doubt. Changes in events and narrative developments are already confirming this. As time goes by, others will inevitably come along to jump on the bandwagon, and pretend that they were in fact part of the resistance when it really mattered, but people don’t forget who said what, and did what, when they did and said it. We will know who the Neville Chamberlains are and we will not allow them to forget it.

        You are spot on, unlike apparently the majority in NZ, I go through many, many sources of media and ensure I factor in the full spectrum, extreme to extreme. What is clearly happening is some have already jumped, but many, many more are edging towards the lifeboats. It will be a stampede very soon. There will be many who shall never be forgotten. Particularly in NZ politics and NZ media.
        The tide is turning, NZ will be among the slowest to respond. Brenda will cling on in desperation as she tries to figure out how to escape with integrity. It is never going to happen.

        We are constantly treated to images of police brandishing these things guarding scene of crime as if they’re expecting the Spetnaz or Viet Cong to turn up , hours after all and sundry have fled the scene.

        Colville: Nope. He can wait for a drink. If he can’t then drink quickly and immediately put the bottle down. Don’t carry it around in your hand like this guy is doing.
        
        It compromises his readiness. It would take an extra second or two to get the rifle ready – long enough to make a big difference.
        
        Cops don’t need to be holding a rifle in ready position often in NZ – and not for a prolonged time (ie. not long enough to get thirsty). If he really is thirst, and needs a drink, then drink and immediately put the bottle down.
        
        I am all for people using the new
        grip with the finger away from the trigger. It is potentially much safer. But it is a far weaker grip with much reduced control meaning that you really need two hands on the rifle to control it properly.
        
        That second hand should be on the handguard. Full stop.

If the deportation sticks it’s my understanding it carries an automatic 3yr ban from entering the country, unless there’s an exception made.
However there’s a good chance by the time next summer rolls around there will be a new administration. Who knows what will happen?

So, basically Jacinda having done nothing to get the healthcare system ready doesn’t want to have ‘blood on her hands’ and so is just leaving it to the fates to decide. Information about the low rate of people who die of covid is not to be dug into. The minuscule risk to children is to be kept quiet. Information must have a singular focus, a competing view or nuance might detract from the goal.

Curious that the government has not yet applied the “abundance of caution” approach to the fire danger signs around the country (that’s what we used to call the motu, for any leading civil servants). I drove past one that was set to “moderate”. What is the government thinking? Surely the fire danger signs must always be set to “extreme”.

We are now seeing major problems in the financial markets as a result of the well intentioned, but stupidly designed and implemented new financial lending rules.

Given that these are being implemented as businesses are trying to trade out of the global economic clusterfuck that is Covid, it could not have been put into place at a worse time.

Given that 1st Tier lenders have always been responsible, all this will do is send the vulnerable to 2nd and 3rd tier lenders, who are rubbing their hands with glee! In other words, the opposite effect!

I see Ardern has sent out the buffoon David ‘mountain bike’ Clark to do damage control on the credit contracts and consumer finance act October 2021 amendments (CCCFA) which have basically tanked the housing market by creating a government induced credit crunch.

This has wide ranging consequences for all NZers. Property sales have ground to a halt. Retirees wanting to move into a village due to health reasons cannot sell their houses, highly leveraged property owners can’t roll over facilities, which may cause foreclosure, developers can’t get new build apartment buildings and projects off the ground because they can’t make the required pre sales to get funding, people wanting to sell house to move towns are stymied. And on and on.

And what is Clark’s reply. ‘The banks may be over reacting to the law changes’. Honestly you couldn’t make this up. Is this guy for real? His government has bought in laws requiring banks to go through, line by line, someone’s bank account and decline applicants on too maany Uber eats etc. Apparently there are also provisions where the mortgage approver at the bank can be prosecuted for not lending responsibly.

What the hell does Clark expect the banks to do? They’ve been in the business of lending in some cases 100 years. They know what they are doing. Yet he comes out and says ‘it must be their fault, they’ve over reacted’. This government is being run by a bunch of clowns who are slowly demolishing NZ business, and society.

My advice is if you can hold off selling your house for six months, to do so, until the idiots in government fix up this very poorly constructed piece of legislation that is having wide ranging effects on the liquidity of the nz housing market.

Clark has no credibility after that mountain biking in lockdown incident. He should be relegated to the back benches immediately.

  UK banks have been doing the same thing in declining mortgages for a few years, and I disagree with the law entirely. When deciding whether a person is a good risk to lend money what matters is that person’s income and total expenditure. It should be a financial decision. What that person chooses to spend their discretionary money on is irrelevant. Declining a mortgage because they eat takeaways is a moral judgement, not a financial one.

    I believe it is part of the common law that if a lender knowingly lends to a borrower an amount beyond their ability to repay in a timely way the lender may not recover such debt. That’s fair–all sensible lenders follow it.
    
    What has happened the govt has created a credit crackdown to ease the demand for house loans. That rationing will bring closer examination of people’s means including their income and what surplus is available to repay loans.
    
    Being questioned about domestic expenditure following a loan application is normal and proper. There is usually no automatic right to a loan and depending on scarcity of money and likely interest rate changes banks can increase or reduce their lending opportunities. Govt directives may force tightening too.

Boosters have hit nearly 700,000. Next week will be interesting. Many people end their holidays and they will want a booster. Plus there will be a surge of panicked parents desperate to vaccinate their young children.

Another unexpected trend. The numbers of people getting first doses has been trending up each day. Yesterday 1,500 people got vaccinated for the first time,up from daily numbers of around 400 during December.

    You tweaked my interest so just read the decision. Would seem to me that for one to be considered suitable for parole, one would need to acknowledge the crime committed, show regret for the crime and show that one has developed the ability to move on an no longer represent a threat to society. In all three areas, looks pretty clear to me that Sirhan does not meet the threshold – seems to be significant evidence in his past statements that he doesn’t even acknowledge the crime.
    
    There is obviously the concern that would a democrat have been so concerned but for this being the RFK murderer. I’d like to think that this decision would have been taken regardless of the who.
    
    I’d say though, the bigger issue is the fact the parole was granted in the first place rather than Gov. Newsom’s decision to overturn it. It’s at times like this where I do think the american system of democracy does have some merit.

      PJ: You have identified the three pre-conditions for parole (the same apply here): acceptance of the crime, remorse for it, and good evidence that one is no longer a threat to society. As you say, having been all over the shop, Sirhan’s latest position appears to be that he is innocent – or is it still that he can’t remember?
      
      As an aside, one thing about Scott Watson has always intrigued me: he still maintains that he didn’t murder Smart and Hope which is why he is not up for parole, despite having been inside for much longer than his minimum NPP. I believe he is guilty as sin, but that still puzzles me.

        Opinions vary as to Scott Watson’s guilt or innocence, but the propensity of some investigators to hone in on one suspect and theory at the expense of all others has always puzzled me.
        
        I do know the Barrister that is handling the latest appeal, as he is an ex colleague and neighbour who has always struck me as a straight shooter. Given the 2 prisoners who have testified that Watson admitted the crimes while in prison have both been discounted, the police were not following sightings of a Ketch that were reported, there is enough doubt to revisit the case.

A while ago I posted about why I think Turkey is a good country to look at to see where NZ was heading from an economics point of view. Well Turkey has been engaging in foreign exchange manipulation to prop up the Lira, basically they ran out of foreign exchange reserves, and now have started ruining their exporters by forcing them to give the government 25% of their foreign reserves (in exchange for printed lira).

This is on top of the savings scheme which they announced late last year where they effectively guarantied they would print money to make sure savers didnt loose out. Basically they guarantied a floating rate tied to inflation to try and say that savers wouldn’t loose purchasing power, the only way this can be maintained is by printing more lira, which will cause more inflation and a further fall in the lira. Which means they need more foreign exchange prop up the lira, it is all going to come to hyperinflation and end up in a very sad state.

Leftists take note, this is what Leftist economic policies lead to. They have an inflation rate over 30%, the country is falling apart, and it is where NZ is going if we dont stop the government market interference, spending and printing of money.

  Something that was often debated among the boys and girls back in the day but put to bed quite simply.
  When a woman has had a baby, it’s not uncommon a couple of years later for her and partner to decide “we should have another”. There is no recorded case in history of a man saying, “It’s been 2 years, I’d love another kick in the nuts.”

  As for Hooten, he makes some good points but a lot of the article is hysterical nonsense. Especially screaming about jabbing kids and testing, testing, testing. All that will do is provide more fear porn for Brenda to get the green light to do whatever she wants, it’s going to be a casedemic.
  
  Everyone is going to get omicron. The vast majority will be fine. Anyone at risk can and should isolate, but at some point, everyone will get it. The jabs don’t work, they increase your chance of catching omicron. The longer you hide under the bed, like with every problem in life, the worse the problem is likely to be.
  England has taken the tough decision. It looks like they made the right decision. They are refusing to panic and now the numbers are showing that case numbers are rapidly declining and that there was no huge increase in deaths or hospitalisations.
  
  This nightmare scenario has to be stopped. This collective insanity has to end. People need to get a grip of themselves and stop pissing their pants every time they open the paper or watch TV. Better still, dump both and get on with your life. Something is going to kill you sooner or later. Up to you to decide what level of risk you’re prepared to take.
  There is NOTHING stopping everyone who is terrified of covid staying home forever. Fill your boots. There’ll be more room at the beach for those daredevils prepared to risk life and limb exposing themselves to a respiratory illness.
  
  But this complete lunacy needs to end one way or another.

As he says, 2021 finished with Arctic sea ice extent the highest in 18 years. And Antacrica had it’s 6 coldest months on record, with their coldest January since 1978. Alaska had their coldest Autumn in decades. Northern Europe had record cold during the Autumn of 2021. Russian ships got trapped in early forming sea ice.

It looks like it was much warmer in the 1930s during the infamous “dust bowl” depression.

But they have to come out and tell us that every year was hotter. It’s tradition, you know. They know if they tell us NOW while it’s Summer here and hot, that we’ll believe it.

    I always find the democrat v republican contest amusing. I mean these nominations should be based on merit and have nothing to do with sex or race or politics. Sadly, it seems for the democrats it’s always about sex or race, and for the republicans it’s claimed to be on merit but usually results in a typical white male wall street stereotype with deep links to the republicans and finance. And for both it is always, always about politics.

So this is interesting. A life insurance company in France has declined to payout a death acknowledged to have been caused by the vax, and a court has affirmed its decline is valid.

So who remembers when the narrative was – “save granny! protect others! protect the kids!”

– thus, it is your social duty to do this and our duty to make you by excluding you from society if you will not. and so began a campaign of vilification and othering the likes of which has not been seen since the 1930’s and 40’s in europe or in the stalinist or maoist revolutions.

Except none of this was true. The jabs are non-sterilizing, don’t stop infection, carriage, or transmission. They don’t reduce viral load. The government is lying when they say you are 20 times more likely to spread the virus if unjabbed.
In fact, all data emerging from highly jabbed countries is showing the reverse, the jabbed are getting more covid per capita than the unjabbed.

So the narrative got changed to – get jabbed to “protect the hospitals!”

“this argument is a clear loser as one could make a far more persuasive argument along the same lines about, say, obesity, which probably drives ~50% of health system costs in one way or another, clogging hospitals and arteries alike. so, unless one is going to also accede to mandatory diet and fitness plans as a social duty, they really lack a leg to stand on.”

Is it true? “well it seems to have once been true, at least on an individual level, but that can get tricky.

if you have a vaccine that reduces your risk of death from covid by 50%, that sounds like a big deal. but it might not be. if your risk was only 1 in 10,000 to begin with, who cares? the risk reduction is not worth the side effects.

but what if your initial risk was high? is it then a good idea? well, it depends.

if the vaccines also doubles your risk of getting covid, then no. 2X risk X 50% risk reduction puts you right back where you started and you experienced the side effects and risks of vaccination for no gain. and wow do they keep ignoring that one.”
