Tauranga Electoral Petition

The Tauranga electoral petition outcome will be very interesting. Not just for Bob Clarkson, but for all those involved in campaigns as the current law is notoriously hard to interpret and the court judgement will hopefully provide some clarity.

As the NZ Herald reports it may come down to whether materials include donated services.

Interestingly even if it is found Clarkson over-spent, the Judge has said that Peters has to prove that the over-spending was deliberate for Clarkson to be found guilty of corrupt practices and the election voided.
