ACC costs out of control

acccosts

graph shows it all – the massive blowout in costs under Labour of .

The liability for these costs has just been reported as increasing by $2.58 billion. What does this mean, if no changes are made:

  • An 185% increase over five years of the levy on employees
  • A 71% increase for employers
  • A 129% increase for motor vehicle owners
  • Over five years this would see someone on the average wage who owns a vehicle paying $1,696 a year more.

So Labour's Acc liability will take more from the average household, than they would have got from Labour's tax cuts. Remember you never win with Labour.
