WordCamp
July 19th, 2010 at 6:16 pm by David FarrarI’m a bit gutted to be away when Wordcamp NZ is on. Wordcamp is for users and fans of WordPress, which is what this blog uses.
I would have loved to attend (7 and 8 August in Auckland) as I know I’d pick up heaps of good ideas for plugins and features etc.
There is talk there may be one in Wellington later this year or early next year. I hope so.

David, are you a Wellingtonian? I’ve never been certain of this.

The only way you would get him out of Wellington permanently is to move the Parliament.

Yeah, would love to go myself. Have used wordpress to make regular websites (bookstores, etc) but only with a lot of altering & commenting out of the markup & php. Ideal for blogs of course but a little bit of a grind for anything else & I am never satisfied with templates (never satisfied with templates from anywhere actually & tend to alter them drastically). Must admit WP boffins have made some excellent plugins and the Dashboard is user friendly.

Too much of a good thing can be a head ache…. in a good way…. I think.
