agree with the television broadcasters that the Government should free up restrictions on election advertising by political parties.

It is absurd that (subject to an overall spending limit) a party can purchase as many print ads as you want, but you are fobidden from spending even a dollar of your own money on broadcast ads.

Of course sme parties can get around this, by getting their union proxies to run ads on their behalf, as they do not have the same restrictions.
