Confused Protesters

When two women bared their breasts at Prince Charles yesterday, I thought they might be protesting the Monarchy, and cringed at their actions. However upon reading the NZ Herald, I find they were protesting many things:

* a political protest on behalf of mothers
* condemning the monarchy
* condemning colonialism
* honouring the Treaty of Waitangi,
* protesting at the cancellation of a breast-screening clinic
* upset that the Prince had allegedly said he was offended after receiving a traditional “Tjukurrpa Palya” by six topless Aborigines in Alice Springs.

Only problem with the last one is the Prince never said he was offended, and photographs of the event show the Prince talking and joking with the dancers.

What idiots.
