Hitting up taxpayers again

The Government is about to announce that it is increasing the amount of money taken from taxpayers for election broadcasts by around $1 million.

This comes on top of their outraegous $15 million taxpayer funded advertising campaign for their family support package.

Far more preferable that increasing the amount taken from taxpayers for election broadcasts, would be to remove the ban on parties spending their own funds on radio or TV adverts. It is silly that a party can purchase newspaper advertising but not radio advertising.
