Farewell Drinks

Went to the Beehive bar (2.6 now, instead of 3.2, due to renovations) for I think the first time since I left last March. The occasion was to farewell Cameron Brewer who was leaving his job in Wellington as Rodney’s chief press secretary. Prior to that Cam worked for Banksie and for Jenny Shipley. He is world renowned for his voice impersonations of MPs 🙂

Was a great evening catching up with old friends and colleagues, plus various members of the press gallery. Cameron had warned me to bring my camera as there would be someone dressed in drag as a party leader. I was hoping for a woman dressed up as Rodney Hide, but the photos below speak for themselves:
